Sonu Sood pledges Rs. 1 crore in scholarships for Cyber Security enthusiasts, aims to build a stronger and more secure India

Sonu Sood’s Sood Charity Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and skill development, has announced the launch of the “Mera Bharat, Surakshit Bharat Initiative” in association with EC-Council, the world’s largest cybersecurity certification body. India is currently facing a high number of cyber-attacks, with 18 million attacks daily in the first quarter of 2022. The program provides an opportunity for individuals to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to defend against cyber threats and secure a fulfilling career in the cybersecurity industry.

The scholarship offers full funding for EC-Council’s Certified Cybersecurity Technician program, a globally recognized certification that can help individuals build skills in ethical hacking, network defense, digital forensics, and security operations that are required for in-demand job roles in cybersecurity. The program is created by the team behind the renowned Certified Ethical Hacker Program and is sure to impress recruiters and open doors to a successful cybersecurity career for many.

Pathaan: Siddharth Anand says Shah Rukh Khan’s inaccessibility created thirst amongst people: ‘That’s what created this mass hysteria’

Siddharth Anand, with War and now Pathaan, has become the undisputed number one director of his genre in India. While War with Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff & Vaani Kapoor collected Rs. 477 crore gross worldwide, with Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone & John Abraham, Siddharth has outdone himself as the film in just 6 days has already collected Rs. 591 crore gross worldwide! Speaking of the massive success of the film, the filmmaker said that the inaccessibility of Shah Rukh Khan created curiosity.

Khan made his return to big screen after a gap of four years though he had cameos in Laal Singh Chaddha and Brahmastra last year. It’s once in a lifetime we get these kind of numbers going, but to have hit it again in my next film, and then hit it for four days and after that on the weekend, it’s a feeling I can’t even describe. It’s unreal, I just feel sometimes I am dreaming,” the director said.

Speaking of how boycott calls were made due to saffron swimsuit work by Deepika Padukone in ‘Besharam Rang’ song, he said, “The film has spoken and the film’s intentions have spoken. And the fact that it had nothing offensive, it’s such a patriotic film that it does inspire you. That’s reached the audience – the audience is too smart to get fooled by fake boycott calls.”

Siddharth Anand is the only Hindi film director to have delivered five Rs. 50+ crore nett box office days and also five Rs. 100+ crore worldwide gross box office days with War and Pathaan, with the SRK starrer delivering 4 out of 5!

Netflix to celebrate Yash Chopra’s legacy through the docu-series The Romantics

Streaming giant Netflix is all set to celebrate the late legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra and his banner Yash Raj Films through the docu-series titled The Romantics. Directed by Smriti Mundhra, the show will be released on the Valentine’s Day on February 14 and it will be Netflix’s tribute to Chopra, who was known as ‘Father of Romance.’

Throwing more light on The Romantics, an official statement from the makers said, “The star-studded, four-part docu-series will feature 35 leading voices of the Hindi film industry and dive into the history of Bollywood through the lens of YRF’s impact in making Bollywood a household name globally. The global streaming giant will release the trailer of the docu-series in 190 countries tomorrow. It will also subtitle the trailer in 32+ world languages, given the reach of Bollywood across the world and the impact that YRF has had in shaping the equity of Hindi film industry worldwide for 50+ years.”

Speaking about the achievements of Yash Chopra, Monika Shergill, VP, Content, Netflix India, added, “Fondly remembered as The King of Romance, Yash Chopra’s films brought in a new wave of emotion, individualism and cultural change to Hindi cinema and helped turn one of the biggest film industries in the world into what it is today. In celebration of the iconic songs, stories and the nostalgia, we’re partnering with the creative powerhouses, YRF and Smriti Mundra to bring The Romantics to our global audiences. This will be yet another Netflix show for Smriti Mundhra after Indian Matchmaking and Never Have I Ever.

Yash Chopra started his career with a bang with Dhool Ka Phool in 1959. In a career over 50 years, he became known for some iconic romantic films like Silsila, Lamhe, Kabhi Kabhie, Chandni, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zaara, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, etc.

Yash Raj Films is currently basking in the super success of their latest flick Pathaan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles.

Shah Rukh Khan thanks Salman Khan for making Pathaan ‘so wonderful’: ‘I think all of us love him more than anyone can’

It’s been seven days since Pathaan released in theatres and continues to shatter box office records. The team of the film is processing the massive success of the film which released on January 25, 2023 worldwide. Led by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the movie also stars Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film has crossed the mark of Rs. 300 crores at the box office in India. Salman Khan makes a cameo in the film and his scenes with Pathaan led to whistles, screams, clapping, hooting etc. The Karan Arjun of Indian cinema has often made cameos in each other’s films and their bond is always loved.

Expressing his gratitude to Salman Khan who made the theatres erupted in cheers with his cameo as Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan said at the press conference on Monday, “One person who is not here, I think all of us love him more than anyone can, Bhai is not here, thank you, Salman, for making this film so wonderful. I think the second best line in the film is ‘painkiller hai, chewing gum nahi’. Fantastic lines!”

Fans continued to cheer for Shah Rukh Khan at the venue when he responded saying, “Sab karenge, aaram se sab karenge. Sabr se kaam lo. Abhi toh wapas aaya hu, abhi kahin nahi jaa raha (We will do everything, calmly. Be patient. I have literally come back now, I am not going anywhere).” On hearing this, the fans began to chant his name.

The film is currently running in theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It is the fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai and War. The film marked the cameo of Salman Khan as Tiger and the mention of Hrithik Roshan’s character Kabir. Salman Khan will resume the role of Tiger in Tiger 3 which is set for Diwali 2023 release.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will now resume the shoot for Atlee Kumar’s Jawan on February 1, 2023. The film is scheduled for June 2023 release. He also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki set for December release.

Shah Rukh Khan calls Pathaan a ‘big experience’, hints at the sequel days after the film’s release: ‘It will be my honour’

It’s been 7 days since Pathaan released in theatres. The team of film is processing the massive success of the film. Led by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the movie also stars Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film has crossed the mark of Rs. 300 crore at the box office in India breaking several box office records. To celebrate the success of the film, Yash Raj Films organized a special press conference with the three stars and the director on Monday evening. At the press meet, SRK hinted at the film’s sequel and Siddharth Anand too hoped for it.

Shah Rukh Khan said, “Working in Pathaan was such a big experience and I am quite serious today. The love and success of the film have brought happiness to my family, friends, and all those close to me after a long time. So if you ask me, then I am quite happy about the opportunity given to me. And Inshallah, whenever Siddharth wants to do Pathaan 2, I am in.”

SRK quipped further and said, “I am ready to grow my hair till hips this time for the sequel. I will try my best to give my all for Pathaan 2. It will be my honour.”

Siddharth said, “Just like every filmmaker, I also had a wish list to once work with Shah Rukh Khan. I think you have to earn a Shah Rukh Khan film, I think it was my journey which I completed and that is when I got a gift to direct Shah Rukh Khan. Pathaan aayi hai, hit hui hai. Uske baad kya banayege (Pathaan has been released, and it has been a hit. What will we make after that?” While fans chanted Pathaan 2, Siddharth with a wide smile on his face, said, “Inshallah (God willing)”.

Shah Rukh Khan on the massive success of Pathaan worldwide: ‘In these four days, I’ve forgotten my last four years’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen in a lead role with Pathaan on January 25, 2023 and has obliterated box office records. After 2018’s Zero, this is his first lead role in a while whereas he had several productions and cameos over the past few years. The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. But, the actor has had a rough patch in terms of failed movies at the box office like Jab Harry Met Sejal, Fan, and Zero. But, the stupendous performance of Pathaan has led Shah Rukh Khan to forget the hardships of the last four years.

Talking about the past four years, Shah Rukh Khan said at the success press conference on Monday, “The four years that I had… Covid had good and bad parts. I didn’t work. I was with my children. I saw them grow up. My last film had not worked and people had said my movies now won’t work. So, I thought of an alternate career: cooking Italian.”

Even Pathaan was mired in controversy with the film getting threats for Deepika Padukone wearing a saffron swimsuit in ‘Besharam Rang’ song. There were calls made for boycott, posters were being burnt, theatres were being threatened and more.

Helmed by Siddharth Anand of War fame, the film is currently running in theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will now resume the shoot for Atlee Kumar’s Jawan on February 1, 2023.

Pathaan Box Office Estimate Day 6: Scores extraordinary hold on Monday; collects Rs. 25 crores

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is proving to be an all-time blockbuster as the film has shown an extraordinary hold in collections on Monday. According to early estimates, Pathaan has collected in the range of Rs. 24 to 26 crores on its 6th day, taking total collections to Rs. 305 crores.

Pathaan has proved to be the fastest Hindi Film to enter the Rs. 300 crore club and the journey has just begun, as it is racing towards the Rs. 400 crore club soon. Pathaan is holding extremely well in the mass pockets, which are known to do well for action films.

In just 6 days, Pathaan has emerged as the highest-grossing film and also the biggest hit for all the cast members Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. Infact, it is also the biggest grosser for director Siddharth Anand, by surpassing War.

By end of the extended week one, Pathaan will be YRF’s highest-grosser to date, surpassing Tiger Zinda Hai led by Salman Khan. For those unaware, Tiger Zinda Hai collected Rs. 340 crore in India.

Kangana Ranaut kicks off dance rehearsals for Chandramukhi 2; song composed by Golden Globe winner MM Keeravaani

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Chandramukhi 2, which stars Raghava Lawrence as the lead actor. The actress took to her Twitter handle and gave an update regarding the film. She said that she has begun rehearsals for the song with Kala master. The song has been composed by Golden Globe winner MM Keeravaani.

Kangana Ranaut mentioned, “Started climax song rehearsals for Chandramukhi 2 with Kala master ji… The song is composed by Golden Globe winner Shri M.M Keeravani ji.. Directed by the legendary Shri P. Vasu ji… Such an honour.”

The actress will be seen playing the title role in the iconic blockbuster sequel of Chandramukhi, helmed by P. Vasu. The 2005 release had Rajinikanth and Jyothika Saravanan. Kangana will be seen playing the role of Chandramukhi, a world-renowned dancer in the King’s court who’s known for her dancing skills and breathtaking beauty.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Tejas in which she will be seen portraying the role of an Indian Airforce pilot and Noti Binodini biopic in the pipeline. Recently, the actress also finished shooting for Emergency.

Shah Rukh Khan greets fans outside Mannat as Pathaan inches closer to Rs. 300 crores at box office: ‘Thank you all my mehmaans’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen in a lead role with Pathaan on January 25, 2023, and has demolished the box office with the collections. After 2018’s Zero, SRK is back in action. The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. Interestingly, SRK’s foster mother is played by Nikhat Khan Hegde. As the film inches Rs. 300 crore mark in India, Shah Rukh Khan greeted the fans on Sunday who gathered outside his residence Mannat in Mumbai’s Bandra.

Shah Rukh Khan was greeted with cheers, screams, chants and more. He waved at the fans, sent flying kisses and even did his signature pose of spreading his arms.

He took to social media to thank everyone by sharing a video, “Mehmaan Nawaazi Pathaan ke ghar par… Thank u all my Mehmaans for making my Sunday so full of love. Grateful. Happy. Loved.”

Punjabi popstar AP Dhillon intoxicates the fans with his performance at Lollapalooza India; brings out ukulele as he croons his hits ‘Tere Te’, ‘Summer High’, ‘Brown Munde’, ‘Excuses’

The Canadian-Indian singer AP Dhillon, popularly known for his songs like ‘Summer High’, ‘Excuses’, and ‘Brown Munde’, is currently in India. The singer performed on Saturday at the first Asia edition of Lollapalooza in Mumbai, co-produced and promoted by BookMyShow. The two festival, being held at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai, witnessed artists from all over the world to perform in India. AP Dhillon was joined by fellow rapper Shinda Kahlon on stage.

 

The Gurdaspur-born Indo-Canadian singer crooned tracks like ‘Tere Te’ from his album Hidden Gems while strumming on his ukulele as the audience cheered on for him with claps, screams and whistles. The crowd was enamoured by the stage presence of the artist who was enthralling the audience with his voice. From songs like ‘Brown Munde’ to ‘Summer High’, ‘Excuses’ to ‘Insane’ and ‘Wo Noor’, every track was met with loud response from his audience.

AP Dhillon, who recently launched his new album ‘Two Hearts Never Break The Same’, recently spread smiles for miles for young, underprivileged Basketball players in India in partnership with BookASmile, the charity initiative of BookMyShow, India’s leading entertainment destination. They recently joined hands to support the construction of a Basketball court in the singer’s home state in Punjab to further sports development for the underprivileged in the state. To kick-start this joint initiative, BookASmile organised a friendly Basketball match between AP Dhillon and underprivileged children training in the sport, with its partner NGO Hi5 Youth Foundation at a BookASmile-constructed court at one of the BMC Schools in Mumbai.

Neha Dhupia recollects her 20 years old statement: “Either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan”

Actor Neha Dhupia attracted headlines in 2004 when she asserted that “either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan.” She had mentioned that since Shah Rukh was not there in Julie (2004), the movie needed to contain love-making scenes and shots in response to a question about her doing intimate scenes. In the movie, which also starred Priyanshu Chatterjee and Sanjay Kapoor, Neha played a sex worker. After viewing Pathaan on Republic Day 2023, Neha re-examined her earlier statement on Shah Rukh and recently praised him on Twitter. 

The actor responded to a Twitter follower on Saturday who commented on the success of Pathaan at the box office. She wrote, “Almost two decades back Neha Dhupia had given a statement ‘only sex or Shah Rukh Khan sells’ and that stays true even today!” In reaction to the tweet, Neha tweeted, “20 years on, my statement rings true. This is not an “actor’s career” but a “king’s reign”! #KingKhan @iamsrk.”

During an interview with The Times of India in 2004, Neha made the following statement, “Julie has love-making scenes and shots exposing my bare back… I’m not affected by the sex symbol tag. It doesn’t bother me if people say I have overshadowed Mallika Sherawat and Bipasha Basu by exposing in Julie. In today’s time, either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan. So I would rather be a sex prop in my next five films.” 

Neha had already taken to Twitter on Thursday to compliment Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in a series of tweets. Neha shared a snapshot of a shirtless Shah Rukh from the action blockbuster, which was released in theatres throughout the world on January 25. She tweeted, “Shah Rukh, the love we have for you is hard to explain. Deepika Padukone, you set the screen on fire with your gaze and your kicks and tricks. John Abraham you make bad look so good! Salman Khan we would go back to the cinemas to watch the best cameo in history. Pathaan is here to stay!!!”

While praising the film, she tweeted, “It was a packed house, there were whistles, there was cheer and our hearts rejoiced… we laughed on beat, we applauded on every dialogue and we jumped out of our seats on cue each time Pathaan kicked. Shah Rukh Khan, thank you for you… this is what cinematic victory looks like!”

Pathaan is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in it. YRF’s adrenaline pumping film, Pathaan, released on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Pathaan’s first-ever media event expected to take place on Monday, January 30; will be attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham?

Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, was released on January 25, 2023 and ever since, it is rewriting history at the box office. What’s unique about its marketing strategy is that the lead cast of the film didn’t promote the film through conventional means like attending press conferences, giving interviews to the press etc. 10 days ago, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report that as confirmed by director Siddharth Anand, the promotional activities of the film will begin only after the release of the film. He had stated, “We want the euphoria around (Shah Rukh Khan’s) return to reach a crescendo by January 25, the release date of Pathaan. Thus, we will start all our promotional activities only post the release of the film.”

Bollywood Hungama has now learnt that the much-awaited and impending event of Pathaan is expected to finally take place tomorrow. A source spilled the beans, “It is said that the event is expected take place on Monday, January 30, in Mumbai. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Siddharth Anand will also make their presence felt. It’ll be one of the biggest events of the year. The media has been waiting to see Shah Rukh and to interact with him. As a result, a large turnout of the media is expected. The event will also get a huge viewership from fans and netizens as even they are curious to see what their favourite superstar has to say in his trademark witty style, especially after the way the film has performed at the box office.”

Meanwhile, Pathaan has collected around Rs. 51 to 53 crores on Saturday at the domestic box office, as per early estimates. On Sunday, it is expected to earn even more, with the five-day collections closing at around Rs. 275 crores. In overseas, it is expected to cross the $20 million mark by Sunday, which will be a record of sorts.
