Harley Quinn Co-Creator Announces Kite Man Spinoff Series at SXSW

Harley Quinn's Kite Man is getting his own spinoff series. With fans still patiently waiting for HBO Max to release the third season of Harley Quinn, it was revealed by series co-creator Patrick Schumacker at South by Southwest (SXSW) that there will be even more to come with the animated hit getting its first spinoff. Called Noonan's, the spinoff will put Kite Man into the central role after he buys Noonan's Bar, which serves as a hub for Gotham's supervillains.



Darth Maul Was Reportedly in Early Plans for Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

It is well known that the journey of Obi-Wan Kenobi to his Disney+ series has gone through many changes since it was originally envisioned as a movie, and it seems that some of the biggest changes involved the introduction of Darth Vader and cutting of a live-action return for Ray Park as Darth Maul. Two Scarlet Witch Projects Rumored, Including Avengers: The Children's Crusade

Rumors began to bubble to the top of the cauldron a couple of weeks that Elizabeth Olsen had extended her Marvel Studios contract and a possible Scarlet Witch movie was in the works. Now, a well-known source for Marvel Cinematic Universe rumors, Murphy's Multiverse, has reported that there are two projects in development at the studio featuring the Scarlet Witch: an adaptation of the Young Avengers story Avengers: The Children's Crusade by Allan Heinberg, Jim Cheung, Mark Morales, Justin Ponsor, and Cory Petit, and a solo Scarlet Witch project.



Tokyo Vice Trailer: Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe Star in Michael Mann Directed Thriller

HBO Max has released the official trailer for the upcoming thriller series, Tokyo Vice. Based on actual events, Tokyo Vice stars Ansel Elgort as American journalist Jake Adelstein, who, while reporting for a Japanese newspaper, uncovers corruption within the Tokyo Vice police squad. The show was created by award-winning playwright J.T. Rogers and is inspired by Adelstein’s 2009 memoir, Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan. Veteran filmmaker Michael Mann (Heat, Miami Vice) has directed the pilot of the 8-episode series. Tokyo Vice will premiere on HBO Max on April 7, 2022. You can check out the trailer below.



Mayim Bialik Opens Up on Hosting Jeopardy!: 'It's a Lot of Fun'

Mayim Bialik is having the time of her life as one of the interim Jeopardy! hosts. After Alex Trebek passed away in 2020, a series of guests hosts were brought in to serve as host until a permanent successor could be found. Following the controversial and brief run of former executive producer Mike Richards, it was announced that Bialik and Ken Jennings would take turns hosting the show for the remainder of the season. Officially, a singular permanent host has yet to be named since the Richards fiasco.



Joshua Jackson Says Fatal Attraction Series Is 'More Terrifying' Than the Film

We can expect for the new Fatal Attraction series to be more disturbing than its source material. Previously, it was reported that Joshua Jackson (Peacock's Dr. Death) and Lizzy Caplan (Hulu's Castle Rock) would be co-starring in a Fatal Attraction series in the works at Paramount+. The two will be taking on roles similar to that of Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in the 1987 thriller of the same name which followed a married man who has a weekend affair with a woman who becomes dangerously obsessed with him.



The Nick Cannon Show Gets Canceled After One Season

Nick Cannon has spoken out after if was announced that his talk show is ending after just one season. As reported by ET, The Nick Cannon Show will finish out its first season before wrapping up for good to make way for a new talk show hosted by acclaimed actress and singer Jennifer Hudson. Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents of the show's producer-distributor and Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury, confirmed the news with a statement.

Zoe Kravitz took aim at The Princess and the Frog during her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live. During the episode, a sketch was introduced as welcoming viewers back to a viewing of a live-action Princess and the Frog movie on Disney Minus, where they stream "the movies Disney doesn't really promote as much." With the film enjoying immense success at the box office, one of Kravitz's co-stars reunited with her with a surprise appearance in the middle of a sketch. Clarissa Explains It All Revival Nixed by Nickelodeon Says Melissa Joan Hart

It turns out we won't be getting any new explanations from a middle-aged Clarissa. In 2018, it had been reported that Melissa Joan Hart would return as the titular character in a Clarissa Explains It All revival for Nickelodeon. She was also on board to produce the series with Mitchell Kriegman in talks to write and direct. Updates have not been fruitful since, and the reason for this, as it turns out, is that Nickelodeon has since scrapped the project.

Mike Myers Joins Instagram to Tease His New Series The Pentaverate

Mike Myers joined the world of Instagram last week and it seems his main reason for doing so is to drop a whole bunch of cryptic photos that are all linked to the number 5. His latest post, showing a helicopter with the number 5 on the side of it, also came with the comment of “5 Days. The 5th hour.” All in all, it seems to point to something coming on Wednesday, and thankfully Netflix were able to clear up that it will be a first look at Myers’ new comedy series The Pentaverate, which a press release revealed will drop on Wednesday, March 16, at 5:55am PT.



Geena Davis to Star in Mother-Son Legal Drama for CBS Pilot

Some amazing news for Geena Davis fans: the Academy Award Winner is coming to TV again. According to Deadline, The actress is set to star in an upcoming CBS pilot as part of the main cast. The legal drama will see Davis as a mother who is forced to reconnect with her detective son after witnessing her own marriage’s dissolution. Davis’ character is described to be a “razor-sharp” attorney and her son a “talented” private investigator therefore we will most likely see the pair working together on a case or two.



Parents TV Council Blasts Disney+ for Adding Mature Content Like Daredevil and The Punisher

The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) has criticized Disney+ ahead of the debut of Daredevil, The Punisher, and other Netflix-produced Marvel TV shows on the streaming platform on March 16, 2022. All six Defenders universe shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders) are rated TV-MA (Mature Audiences Only) and thus are unsuitable for children. This does not sit well with the PTC, who last week slammed HBO’s Euphoria as well, calling it "grossly irresponsible" for its graphic depiction of nudity, drug use, and child abuse.

News has been fast coming in about the Quantum Leap reboot. While we have casting information and a basic plot of the pilot, there’s still so much we don’t know about the reboot. One thing we do know is that one of the producers of the reboot is Martin Gero. And with Gero being one of the producers, it begs the question about whether or not there might be a connection between the Quantum Leap reboot and the Stargate franchise.
