Shah Rukh Khan on the massive success of Pathaan worldwide: ‘In these four days, I’ve forgotten my last four years’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen in a lead role with Pathaan on January 25, 2023 and has obliterated box office records. After 2018’s Zero, this is his first lead role in a while whereas he had several productions and cameos over the past few years. The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. But, the actor has had a rough patch in terms of failed movies at the box office like Jab Harry Met Sejal, Fan, and Zero. But, the stupendous performance of Pathaan has led Shah Rukh Khan to forget the hardships of the last four years.

Talking about the past four years, Shah Rukh Khan said at the success press conference on Monday, “The four years that I had… Covid had good and bad parts. I didn’t work. I was with my children. I saw them grow up. My last film had not worked and people had said my movies now won’t work. So, I thought of an alternate career: cooking Italian.”

“In these four days, I’ve forgotten my last four years,” he added. Shah Rukh Khan further said, “The three of us didn’t meet the media. We shot it (Pathaan) during Covid-19. We worked very hard. So, we were intensely in work mode. Thank you for supporting the film so much, in spite of the fact that there might have been things that would have helped curtail the happy release of this film. I just want to say there’s so much love from all sides and we can never show enough gratefulness. We thank you on behalf of the film industry for bringing life back to cinemas.”

Even Pathaan was mired in controversy with the film getting threats for Deepika Padukone wearing a saffron swimsuit in ‘Besharam Rang’ song. There were calls made for boycott, posters were being burnt, theatres were being threatened and more.

Helmed by Siddharth Anand of War fame, the film is currently running in theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will now resume the shoot for Atlee Kumar’s Jawan on February 1, 2023.

Pathaan Box Office Estimate Day 6: Scores extraordinary hold on Monday; collects Rs. 25 crores

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is proving to be an all-time blockbuster as the film has shown an extraordinary hold in collections on Monday. According to early estimates, Pathaan has collected in the range of Rs. 24 to 26 crores on its 6th day, taking total collections to Rs. 305 crores.

Pathaan has proved to be the fastest Hindi Film to enter the Rs. 300 crore club and the journey has just begun, as it is racing towards the Rs. 400 crore club soon. Pathaan is holding extremely well in the mass pockets, which are known to do well for action films.

In just 6 days, Pathaan has emerged as the highest-grossing film and also the biggest hit for all the cast members Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. Infact, it is also the biggest grosser for director Siddharth Anand, by surpassing War.

By end of the extended week one, Pathaan will be YRF’s highest-grosser to date, surpassing Tiger Zinda Hai led by Salman Khan. For those unaware, Tiger Zinda Hai collected Rs. 340 crore in India.

Athiya Shetty’s stunning pastel chikankari lehenga she wore for her mehendi will surely leave you impressed

On January 23, Athiya Shetty, a daughter of Suniel Shetty, wed her lifelong love, KL Rahul. The couple decided on a simple wedding ceremony. The wedding and pre-wedding ceremonies were held at Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. The pair eventually made their wedding announcement on Instagram after keeping it a secret. Their big day was nothing less than a dream, as evidenced by the first photos they posted. Athiya started revealing titbits of her pre-wedding shenanigans after the pair released photos from their wedding. It goes without saying that we have major style crushes on all of her looks. Athiya selected a custom-made off-white pure georgette lehenga set from Anjul Bhandari for her mehendi ceremony. It features elaborate detailing and is the ideal outfit for day-wedding festivities. The actress donned a lehenga outfit with a blouse, dupatta, and skirt made of 24-kali Chikankari. The heirloom piece is handwoven and covered in more than 39,000 Swarovski crystals, sequins, and tiny pearls. Athiya wore the lehenga by wrapping her ornately decorated dupatta around her like a cloak. She completed the look with elaborate gold and Polki bracelets, a massive diamond ring, and a stunning mang tika. Her statement chandbalis completed the monumental personal touch and fitting tribute to her grandma. The statement earrings included a sleek chain, colourful beads, and a shape that was inspired by the moon.

At last, Athiya decided on a sleek hairstyle with curled ends, soft eyeshadow, sleek eyeliner, thick mascara on the lashes, blushed pink luminous skin, pink lip tint, darker brows, and light contouring to finish the glam options.

KL Rahul, meanwhile, complimented his wife with a mint green full-sleeve kurta, cut-sleeve Nehru jacket and matching pyjamas set. His Mehendi attire included a side-parted hairdo and trimmed beard.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Chandramukhi 2, which stars Raghava Lawrence as the lead actor. The actress took to her Twitter handle and gave an update regarding the film. She said that she has begun rehearsals for the song with Kala master. The song has been composed by Golden Globe winner MM Keeravaani.

The actress will be seen playing the title role in the iconic blockbuster sequel of Chandramukhi, helmed by P. Vasu. The 2005 release had Rajinikanth and Jyothika Saravanan. Kangana will be seen playing the role of Chandramukhi, a world-renowned dancer in the King’s court who’s known for her dancing skills and breathtaking beauty.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Tejas in which she will be seen portraying the role of an Indian Airforce pilot and Noti Binodini biopic in the pipeline. Recently, the actress also finished shooting for Emergency.
