Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office: Kartik Aaryan starrer goes past Gangubai Kathiawadi lifetime in just 12 days, is quite good again on Tuesday

In just 12 days, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has gone past the lifetime collections of Gangubai Kathiawadi. The Alia Bhatt starrer had collected Rs. 129.10 crores in its overall run and that was quite good in itself. Reason being that it was the first major film to have released after pandemic and was in fact the only grosser since Sooryavanshi. Moreover, theatres had just started opening up and this was the first time that a film was running at 100% occupancy.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office Kartik Aaryan starrer goes past Gangubai Kathiawadi lifetime in just 12 days, is quite good again on Tuesday

Well, now that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has released, it is not facing any of these issues. However the problems were bigger and of a different kind, as audiences had just stopped coming to theatres for majority of movies. In this kind of a scenario, it had become more challenging for a new movie to perform and all eyes were on whether the Kartik Aaryan starrer would be able to bring audiences back in theatres. After all, if a massy film like this would not have worked then one wonders what would have.

Thankfully, though, Anees Bazmee came up with a good massy entertainer and Kartik Aaryan gave his all too to make it all count. This can well be seen from the fact that even on its 12th day at theatres, the film is collecting well to the tune of Rs. 5 crores. This is just superb as it indicates that around Rs. 8-9 crores more will comfortably come in before the close of weekend, hence taking forward the film’s winning run ahead of Rs. 133.24 crores that it has collected so far.

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
