Ponniyin Selvan: II starring Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrives on Prime Video on June 2

Prime Video announced the streaming premiere of Ponniyin Selvan: II in Tamil, with dubs available in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Directed by filmmaker Mani Ratnam and produced under his banner of Madras Talkies, along with Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions, the historical fantasy adventure-drama is based on the exceptional novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy. A sequel to the 2022 blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: I, the film features a distinguished and acclaimed ensemble cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, R. Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and R. Parthiban in pivotal roles. Prime members will be able to stream the film starting June 2. Ponniyin Selvan: II is the latest addition to the Prime membership.

A visual spectacle, PS-II picks up from the edge-of-the-seat climax of the first film, which is also currently available on the service for customers to stream. Focusing on Arulmozhi Varman’s (Jayam Ravi) transformation into Rajaraja I, the revered king of the Chola dynasty, the film opens with a captivating preamble, that explores the relationship between Aaditha Karikalan (Vikram) and Nandhini’s (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), and the ongoing power struggle of succession for the Chola dynasty. Mesmerizingly unravelling the mystery surrounding Arulmozhi’s disappearance, which set the tone for a riveting story, PS-II is an unmissable conclusion to the two-part magnum opus.

Tudum: A Global Fan Event is back and bigger than ever! After two years as a virtual event, the 2023 Tudum livestream will be broadcast live in front of thousands of fans in São Paulo, Brazil to audiences worldwide on June 17th. This year’s global livestream event, broadcast from Ibirapuera Park (Parque do Ibirapuera) in São Paulo, builds upon Netflix’s three-day convention event taking place June 16th to 18th at the Bienal inside the park. Featuring over 2,000 square meters of activities, games, live music, and more, the convention will also give attendees the chance to see their favourite stars up close. This year’s global livestream signifies the event’s return to Brazil – the location of the first Tudum in-person event in 2020.

Rajinikanth wraps the shoot for Jailer with Tamannaah Bhatia and Nelson Dilipkumar, see pictures

It’s a wrap for Rajinikanth starrer Jailer. The actor, who has been shooting for the project for more than a year, has completed the shoot along with Tamannaah Bhatia. Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the upcoming Tamil film will release on the screens on August 10.

In a slew of pictures shared on social media, the actor was pictured with Tamannaah and Nelson Dilipkumar and Jaffer Sadiq, among others. They cut a cake which had ‘Jailer shooting wrapped’ written on it. Production house Sun Pictures shared the photos and wrote, ”It’s a wrap for #Jailer! Theatre la sandhippom #JailerFromAug10.”

The film will also see Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan in pivotal roles. Mohanlal has a cameo appearance. Produced by Sun Pictures, music composer Anirudh Ravichander is on board, the film is expected to release in theatres on August 11.

As per ETimes, she had finalised a bungalow named Celest in Lokhandwala Complex. Despite initially considering the bungalow located in the Lokhandwala area, Urvashi Rautela made the decision not to proceed with it. Instead, she discovered her new abode in Juhu Scheme, a sought-after neighborhood in Mumbai.

On the work front, Urvashi is eagerly anticipating the release of her two upcoming Telugu films, namely Zebra and Black Rose. At present, the specific release dates and details about the films’ plots are yet to be disclosed. Additionally, she is set to star alongside Akshay Oberoi in Dil Hai Gray, a crime thriller that encompasses elements of cop drama.
