Varun Dhawan celebrates his birthday on the sets of Bawaal; says “It ain’t my sweet 16″

Varun Dhawan turns a year older today. After spending his last two birthdays at home due to the pandemic-induced lockdown, the actor is celebrating his birthday on set shooting for his next film. On Sunday morning, the actor took to his social media handle to pen a birthday note while also revealing how he has started his day.

Varun shared a picture of himself posing in his vanity fan which is filled with blue and gold balloons. Posing in front of a balloon arch, Varun is seen dressed in a white shirt and khakhee pants. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “It ain’t my sweet 16, but super happy to spend this bday working. The last 2 birthday were spent at home but feels great to be out here on set getting up at 530 in the morning and reporting to a @niteshtiwari22 set #bawaal. 2022 is special for me with #jugjuggjeyo and #bhediya. set for release”.

Meanwhile, Varun had recently shared his look for the film Bawaal. The actor parked on a Royal Enfield looked dashing and ripped in the image, as he was clicked on the streets of Lucknow. Interestingly, the mega-canvas film will be shot across 3 Indian locations and 5 European countries, including the city of Paris. The film also gets together Varun and Janhvi Kapoor for the first time. The film will be released in theatres on April 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, Varun is awaiting the release of JugJugg Jeeyo on June 24. The film also stars Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Kiara Advani. He also has Bhediya and the Indian version of Citadel in the pipeline.

Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Wedding: “I have cheated out of immaturity” – When Ranbir admitted to cheating on Deepika Padukone

Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who have been in a relationship for a while, got hitched on April 14. The actors were keeping mum on their impending nuptials but on April 13, both Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji unveiled a teaser of the song ‘Kesariya’ from Brahmastra confirming that the two actors are getting married this week. The festivities began on April 13.

Ranbir Kapoor has had a rather controversial image in Bollywood when it comes to his love life. He has dated and been in long term relationships with actresses Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor. But it is Alia Bhatt who ultimately stole his heart.

A huge controversy arose when it was alleged that Ranbir had cheated on Deepika Padukone. Both the stars fell for each other on the sets of their movie Bachna Ae Haseeno. After this, when Ranbir started shooting for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Katrina Kaif, there was a shift and the duo became closer, eventually dating each other.

In 2011, Ranbir Kapoor opened up to Stardust magazine and finally admitted to cheating on Deepika Padukone. He said, “Yes, I have cheated, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness. You realise it now, when you grow up and you value it more why be in a relationship, why be committed to someone when you cannot be committed?”

Deepika Padukone, made the cheating allegations against the Rockstar actor in 2010 saying “For me, s*x is not just about physicality; there are emotions involved. I have never cheated or strayed when I’m in a relationship. If I’m going to be fooling around, why would I be in a relationship? It’s better to be single and have fun. But not everyone thinks like that. Maybe that’s why I’ve been hurt in the past. The first time he cheated on me, I thought there was something wrong with the relationship, or me. But when someone makes a habit of it, you know the problem lies with him,” she had told Verve magazine.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding festivities began on April 13 and ended on April 17. The actors will also be seen on big screen together with Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The film arrives in theatres on September 9, 2022.

BREAKING: Pushpa 2 shoot halted, director wants script revised for visual upscaling post KGF – Chapter 2 success

After the record-breaking success of the sequel to KGF, the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise has stopped short in its track. The news from Hyderabad is that Pushpa 2 which was being shot at breakneck speed for an early release has been halted, at the request of the director Sukumar.

My source reveals, “Pushpa 2 was planned on a much bigger scale than the first part. When the first part succeeded beyond all expectations, the budget was increased and the action sequences were improved. But now with KGF – Chapter 2 breaking all records, Sukumar wants to up the ante much further.”

According to sources, the Pushpa director wants the scale to be even more massive than planned. Shooting has been stopped for now. It is likely that the film’s leading man Allu Arjun will now begin shooting for another film while Pushpa 2 undergoes another scriptural and visual upscaling.

EXCLUSIVE: SS Rajamouli speaks about the major difference between a star and a director

SS Rajamouli has hit a hattrick with RRR. The maverick filmmaker shattered box office records with his recently released film RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead. The film also starred Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles. Rajamouli is also the force behind the magnum opus Baahubali- The Beginning and Baahubali-The Conclusion. Now, with the success of RRR, Rajamouli has become a superstar in his own way. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, SS Rajamouli said that while he is aware of people watching films because of his name, but believes that there are differences between a movie star and a director.

Talking about the difference between onscreen stars and directors, Rajamouli said, “I’m aware that I have a certain number of fans, I’m aware that they want to come to the movie, looking at my name. I’m aware of it. I’m not saying I’m not aware of it. But the difference between a star and a director is that they come to my films assuming that I’ll tell them a good story. They don’t come to watch me they want to come to watch my story. But with the star is that they don’t care about the story, they want to come to watch the star himself. That is a whole lot of difference.

“So one or two flops, my yardstick may be thrown out, but even 10 flops, the star will still be a star because they’re coming to watch him and not the story. That’s the difference between the stars and director,” he added.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli who is still basking in the success of RRR, will be soo working on a film starring Mahesh Babu. The film will be made on a large scale and is an action-adventure movie.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu posts a cryptic note; says “kindness comes with an expiry date”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s personal life took center stage in the latter half of last year when she and actor Naga Chaitanya announced their divorce. Their divorce was followed by several rumours about what went wrong in their relationship. While Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have refrained from divulging details of their personal life, Samantha has occasionally hit back at trolls spreading rumours about her personal life.

While it’s been months since the couple announced their divorce, the rumours refuse to die down. In the wake of new rumours about her and Naga Chaitanya, Samantha took to her Twitter handle to post a cryptic note asking people to not consider her silence as her ignorance.

She will also be seen in a film with Vijay Deverakonda, the Indian version of Citadel with Varun Dhawan, and Shakunthalam among other projects. She is also gearing up for her Hollywood debut.

Jersey Box Office Estimate Day 1: Opening Day shocks the trade; Shahid Kapoor starrer collects only Rs. 3.75 crores

Shahid Kapoor’s much anticipated sport drama, Jersey, has taken a very slow start at the box office. According to early estimates, the movie has collected Rs. 3.60 to 4.00 crores on its opening day.

The first day business has shocked the entire trade. While no one was expecting Jersey to take a good opening, as the general expectation was in the range of Rs. 5.50 to 6.50 crore, but this is a simply disastrous opening.

The first day business of Jersey has also shut down all prospects for the film, and its mostly curtains down on the opening day itself. The film needs some miracle from hereon to even reach a total of Rs. 40 crores in longer run.

The costs are high, and there is an interest burden too on the makers, which unfortunately has made things worse for the team. It is rather sad thing to happen as the team held back on the release for over 2 years just to see such a disastrous start.

It would be interesting to see what Jersey does from hereon, but, in all probabilities, the opening day has ruined all prospects of Jersey.
