The actress, who is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2016, was invited as one of the speakers for the cause of helping children. After a heart-warming speech at the conference, the actress proceeded to have dinner with some global personalities as well as her pop star husband Nick Jonas and shared a video which was a sneak peek into the happenings of the night.
Priyanka Chopra posted the video on Instagram saying, “A NYC night out with some of my favorites. ???? @sonanewyork.” Interestingly, Sona is the Indian restaurant owned by Priyanka. The actress shared a compilation of photos and videos from the night where she was seen mingling with the renowned social activist Malala Yousafzai, fashion designer Prabal Gurung, among others. There is also a photo of PC as she tries to eat a panipuri (golgappa). The actress looked breathtaking in a black backless gown and massive hoops whereas her hubby Nick Jonas opted for a printed shirt. The video also featured a photo of the couple from their dinner night.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for the much talked about space sci-fi drama Citadel alongside Richard Madden, which will release on Amazon Prime. She will also be seen in films like It’s All Coming Back To Me with Sam Heughan and Ending Things with Anthony Mackie. It’s All Coming Back To Me is expected to release on February 10 next year. The actress also has the Farhan Akhtar Bollywood project featuring her alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt for the first time. Jee Le Zara is expected to be a road trip film, to be directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Ranbir Kapoor recently visited a cinema hall in Thane on National Cinema Day. Needless to say, the Kapoor boy received a grand welcome from fans, who crowded around him to catch a glimpse of the star. However, over-enthusiastic fans attempting to take a selfie with the star ended up falling. But the ‘hero’ was more than happy to help them get back on their feet.
Readers would be aware that National Cinema Day was celebrated on September 23 where tickets across theatres and multiplexes were priced at only Rs. 75. Amongst the films that were being screened, was also Brahmastra, which only released a couple of weeks ago. Known for its high-quality VFX, the fantasy drama is slowly becoming an audience favourite as many fans have extended their love for the film. As fans flooded to catch a glimpse of the film on National Cinema Day, they were surprised to see their favourite star and couldn’t hold their excitement.
Ranbir Kapoor visited a Thane Mall on National Cinema Days and interacted with fans. Even though there was ample security and barricades, enthusiastic fans tried to climb the barricades as they attempted to take a selfie with the superstar. However, the fans ended up falling on the other side but the lovable actor not only helped them to stand up but also enquired if they were alright. Once he ensured that they were fine, only then did he proceed towards his car.

Speaking of Brahmastra, the film is a fantasy adventure directed by Ayan Mukerji. Brahmastra Part One Shiva is a part of a trilogy, inspired by Indian mythology. With Alia Bhatt as the leading lady, the film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles as well as Shah Rukh Khan in a guest appearance. The film hit the big screens on September 9 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

However, the actor opted to take a sabbatical from the industry to raise his son after the sad demise of his wife in 2009. But four years later, when his son went to college, the actor decided to return to B-town but found himself out of work. In a bid to make his comeback, he chose to be a contestant on Bigg Boss 10 and mark his return to the Bollywood industry.
Speaking about it, Rahul Dev revealed that he didn’t have a choice but to do Bigg Boss since that got offered to him when he was jobless. He spoke about his struggle to Connect FM Canada saying, “Aur phir aap sochiye, itna kaam karne ke baad bhi Bigg Boss (Despite having done so much work, I had to do Bigg Boss). I was a participant in Bigg Boss 10 because there was just no work for me. I won’t blame anyone for it, because in our line, markets change pretty fast. And four and half years is a long time.”
However, Rahul is also thankful for some of his friends from the industry reaching out to him to support and help him. Expressing gratitude towards them, he added, “If there is one person I hold responsible, it is only my master (guru). If he had not guided me asking me to return, toh aana hota hi nahi (I wouldn’t have come).”
He thanked Atul Kasbekar for giving him immense support even though they were not working together at that time as well as Anna aka Suniel Shetty. He also went on to thank filmmakers who offered him good roles like Nikhhil Advani for giving him a ‘fantastic part’ in the Disney+Hotstar historical drama The Empire, David Dhawan’s son Rohit Dhawan for offering him the John Abraham, Varun Dhawan starrer Dishoom, as well as filmmaker Anees Bazmee for giving him Mubarakan among others. “So there are many people who participated and contributed to it,” asserted the actor.

The latest episode of the weekly comedy show, which released on September 23, featured Rohit Shetty as its celebrity guest. Dodging all the ‘Atrangi Ilzaams’ (unique accusations), the Singham filmmaker revealed that he feels that there is an ‘aatma’ (spirit) of Newton on his sets. The blockbuster director also mentioned that Elon Musk doesn’t come to India because of him and how people with the star sign Scorpio don’t even come close to him.
In a conversation with the action director, the ‘Janta Ka Lawyer’ (public defender), aka Riteish Deshmukh, asked Rohit Shetty if his driver worries about him using his own car during a car action sequences, “Rohit sir aap mujhe yeh bataye ki jab aap ek action sequence shoot kar rahe hai, sari gadio mai agar aapko ek gadi kam dikhe toh kahi apki nazar aapni hi gadi par jati hai? Aur aapka driver bolta hoga sir isse toh chod dijiye, yeh toh aapko shadi mai mili thi. (Rohit Sir, when you are shooting an action sequence if you find a car missing, would you use your own car? And if you do, would your driver say, please let this one be because you got it as a gift at your wedding?)
To which Rohit replied, “Mere jo driver hai woh samajdar hai. Jabhi mai car ka action sequences shoot karta hun toh woh gadi aisi jagah park karte hai ki mujhe hi nahi milti. Mai shaam ko ghar auto mein jata hoon” (My driver is smart. When I am shooting an action sequence with cars, he parks my car in such a location that I can never find it. Eventually, I go home in an auto rickshaw).”
Case Toh Banta Hai is a one-of-a-kind weekly comedy show where Riteish Deshmukh and Varun Sharma play the roles of the public prosecutor and defense lawyer respectively. It also features Kusha Kapila as the judge, deciding the fate of the biggest Bollywood celebrities.
