Katrina Kaif joins label Behno as brand ambassador and investor

Sustainable luxury handbag brand Behno has teamed up with Bollywood star Katrina Kaif. The brand’s new campaign starting Katrina signifies its increased focus on the Indian market. It also celebrates its manufacturing units in India. Besides being the face of the brand, Katrina Kaif is also an investor in the label.

While speaking to Vogue about the same, Katrina asserted, “When Shivam (founder and creative director, Behno) first reached out to me, I actually knew very little about Behno and then when I met him in person, he walked me through his vision and how he approaches design, and we instantly clicked.” She further added, “He mentioned that his approach has always been incremental in how he strives to work differently in the fashion industry to change how it operates and slowly find like-minded manufacturers and partners that want to be more holistic and ethical, making my decision not just to be the face of the brand but also encourage it by investing in it.”

She continued, “The brand’s commitment to working with Indian artisans in meaningful ways truly defines luxury, where sustainable fashion meets great design, something I too look for in a fashion brand.”

For the unversed, Shivam Punjya launched Behno in 2013, inspired by the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh to promote sustainability in the fashion industry. Talking about his association with Katrina, Shivam said, “Katrina is an investor in the company. As I look to be more India proud, I also understand that I’m an outsider in this country. I was born and raised in California, then I moved to New York. I visited in my childhood, and spent a lot of time in India. But at the end of the day, I’m still very much an outsider, and I don’t know the nuances. I thought why not find somebody who shares the same values, who is global in nature, who has a similar approach to fashion, that it’s fun, it’s lively, and that it’s taken seriously in the right amount? The value system bit was very important to me.”

BH Style Icons 2023: Power couple Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash win Most Stylish TV Actor awards

Box Office – Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway are continuing to collect

It is going to be yet another decent week for both Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway as there was very good hold demonstrated on Friday. As a matter of fact, both the films actually ended up collecting better than Thursday which is good trending because when the collections are on the lower side then such things do matter for a consistent week ahead.

This can well be seen from the fact that after bringing in Rs 0.82 crores on Thursday, Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway collected Rs 0.90 crores on Friday. It missed the Rs 1 crores mark by a whisker but will cross that comfortably and even go past the Rs 1.50 crores mark today. The Rani Mukherji starrer has been liked amongst the elite, its target audience, and though the collections haven’t taken off in a big way that could have resulted in another Hichki [Rs 46 crores] or a Mardaani [Rs 35.82 crores], it should end up doing at least half of the former which is decent enough for this sort of film.

As for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, again the collections should have ideally aimed for a Rs 150 crores+ lifetime. In fact, had the footfalls soared big time, which was the expectations even after gauging audience reactions on the opening day, then even Rs 200 crores+ total seemed like a possibility. After all, it’s indeed the kind of entertainer which hasn’t been seen for long. However, the overall collections will just about cross the Rs 130 crores mark. Thankfully that would happen comfortably now as Rs 121.34 crores* have been collected after Friday numbers of Rs 2.10 crores*.

Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is expected to release around Diwali 2023, says producer Shreyans Hirawat

Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the release of his highly awaited film Bholaa. It is all set to arrive in cinemas in less than a week, on Thursday, March 30, and there’s significant buzz around it. Once the big-budget action entertainer is out, the superstar won’t have time to sit back and relax as he’ll be resuming the shoot for Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. Producer Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz yesterday spoke about it and also shared interesting details about the film’s release period.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’s first schedule took place in February 2023. As per a report in Mid-day, the second schedule has commenced in Film City, Goregaon with Jimmy Sheirgill and Saiee Manjrekar. Ajay Devgn and the female lead Tabu are all set to join the shoot from the first week of April.

The report also quotes Shreyans Hirawat who stated that the principal filming is expected to get over by Mid-day. He also added that they plan to release Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha around Diwali. The highly-awaited Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is already scheduled to hit screens on the Festival of Lights. It now remains to be seen if Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha clashes with Tiger 3 or does it release a few weeks before or after Diwali.

Besides Mumbai, Neeraj Pandey’s directorial will also be shot in Lucknow and in overseas. The film’s music is composed by Oscar winning music director M M Keeravani.

As per reports, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a love story that spans 19-20 years, from 2002 to 2023. On this, Shreyans Hirawat confessed that the film is a romantic thriller and though it has action, it won’t be a “typical Neeraj Pandey film”.

Interestingly, Tabu also features in Bholaa and was also in Ajay Devgn’s previous release, Drishyam 2 (2022). Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will see both the actors teaming up for the tenth time.

Salman Khan brings Pooja Hegde in place of Kareena Kapoor Khan in Pavan Putra

Released in 2015, Bajrangi Bhaijaan not only became one of the biggest hits but also a film that found mass acceptance. Starring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and child actress Harshali Malhotra, the film about the unusual bond between a simpleton Indian and a little Pakistani girl moved hearts.

Last year, fans of Salman Khan had a moment of rejoice when the sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan titled Pavan Putra was announced. The thought of seeing their favourite star essay the same role again was reason enough to excite them. But there was no update on the project following the announcement.

But now, Bollywood Hungama has learnt that Salman has brought Pooja Hegde on board for Pavan Putra. In other words, the film will see her replacing Kareena Kapoor. Whether Pooja will play the same character that Kareena played in the first film is not known yet. Interestingly, Pooja is also the leading lady in Salman’s upcoming release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film is all set to release during Eid in April this year.

For the unversed, Bajrangi Bhaijaan told the story of a mute Pakistani girl Munni (Harshali), who gets separated from her mother when the latter had visited India with her for a religious purpose. A happy-go-lucky Bajrangi (Salman) comes across Munni and makes it a mission to reunite her with her mother in Pakistan. The film also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of a Pakistani TV journalist Chand Nawab.
