However, the highly-anticipated film failed to cast its magic at the box office. The action-drama closed its account with less than Rs 50 crores in its bag. Though the makers and the star cast remained tight-lipped on Heropanti 2’s poor performance, Tiger has finally broken his silence.

Interestingly, on Saturday, the Baaghi actor took to his social media handle and hosted an Ask-Me-Anything session on his Instagram. The actor gave answers to a bunch of questions asked by his fans and followers. One among them asked Tiger, “Heropanti 2 karke aapko kaisa laga (how did you feel after doing Heropanti 2)”. In his response to the query, the actor wrote, “it was a lot of fun before the film’s release, but not after the release”, in Hindi.

For the unversed, the Ahmed Khan directorial was the sequel of Tiger’s debut film, which also marked the debut of Kriti Sanon. Whereas, the sequel featured Tiger’s SOTY 2 co-star Tara Sutaria as the leading lady. Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was seen essaying the antagonist named Laila.

An expert from the Bollywood Hungama review of Heropanti 2 read, “the back and forth narrative is not put together well and the film is riddled with unexciting and senseless sequences”.

Coming to the professional front, the 32-year-old actor will be next seen in Ganapath. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the upcoming film is slated to release on December 23, 2022. Along with this, he has interesting projects in his kitty including Screw Dheela and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, among others.

Money laundering case: Jacqueline Fernandez to appear before the Delhi court on Monday

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez and her link to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar only gets entangled further as the matter continues to make news. The latest update on that front was that the actress will appear before Delhi’s Patiala House court on Monday morning, in connection with the extortion case. As per several reports, Fernandez’s legal team will be seeking pre-arrest bail.

The Kick actress will appear before special NIA judge Shailendra Malick. The supplementary charge sheet in the case has been submitted, therefore at the time of Fernandez’s appearance before the court, her legal team will be submitting a pre-arrest bail application. Last week, Jacqueline was questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police for over seven hours. She had been called in for questioning on her alleged involvement in the crime a second time.

On the other hand, Fernandez’s stylist Leepakshi Ellawadi was also questioned at Delhi EOW, where she admitted that she was given Rs. 3 crores by Sukesh Chandrashekhar to purchase actress’ gifts. As per a PTI report, Ellawadi confirmed Jacqueline and Sukesh’s relationship and revealed that Sukesh contacted her in an attempt to understand the likes and dislikes of Jacqueline. Her statement also mentioned that the conman was trying to woo the actress.

For the unversed, the Housefull actress has been accused of being in a relationship with alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is involved in the Rs. 200 crore extortion case. However, the actress has asserted that she wasn’t aware of his crimes when she was in touch with him. The actress has been accused of receiving gifts worth Rs. 7 crores.

The caption of the blooper video read, “these bloopers could single-handedly save me from vecna”. As soon as the video was posted on the social media feed, fans flooded the comments section with their reaction. While a user wrote, “My comfort cast”, another added, “Stranger Things never fails to impress us, even if it’s bloopers”. Meanwhile, an Instagram user called it “the best show ever”.

BREAKING: Adipurush’s teaser to be launched by Prabhas and the film’s team in Ayodhya on October 2

Superstar of the Telugu film industry Prabhas became the heartthrob of the nation after the release of Baahubali – The Beginning (2015). The blockbuster success of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (2017) and the super-success of Saaho (2019) cemented his position at the box office. Though Radhe Shyam (2022) failed, his popularity remains intact. Hence, there’s tremendous excitement for his next film, Adipurush.

BREAKING Adipurush’s teaser to be launched by Prabhas and the film’s team in Ayodhya on October 2

Recently, there were reports that the much-awaited teaser of the film is expected to be out on October 3. Reportedly, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and director Om Raut will be launching the promo at Ayodhya. Bollywood Hungama has learnt there has been a slight change in plans.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The teaser will be unveiled on Sunday, October 2. Prabhas along with the team of Adipurush will be in attendance in Ayodhya. This religious town in Uttar Pradesh is the birthplace of Lord Ram, on whom Adipurush is based. Hence, the makers thought that it’ll be apt to hold promotional activities there.”

Several people from the media fraternity in Mumbai will be flown down to Ayodhya to cover the event. The source said, “It’s not sure yet who all from the cast and crew of Adipurush will be present for the first look launch, besides Prabhas. However, the makers are confident that the event will be a memorable one as they have immense confidence about the product.”

Besides Prabhas, Adipurush also stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Vatsal Sheth. It is directed by Om Raut of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) fame and produced by T-Series. The source continued, “Om Raut has proved his worth and knows how to make a grand film. Adipurush is expected to be a visual spectacle. The poster, as well as the teaser, will reflect the scale of the film and further enhance the hype.”

Meanwhile, Arjun Kumar, the head of the Luv-Kush Ramlila Committee confirmed that Prabhas will also attend the Ravan Dahan ceremony at Ramlila grounds, Delhi, on October 5, on the occasion of Dussehra.

Adipurush will be released in cinemas on January 12, 2023.

ENOLA HOLMES 2
Millie Bobby Brown is back as the brilliant detective in Enola Holmes 2, and unveiled the new trailer for the film during Netflix’s annual Tudum fan event. The sequel drops on Netflix on November 4.


QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY
Bridgerton stars Adjoa Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel, India Amarteifio and series creator Shonda Rhimes unveiled the first look at the upcoming spinoff, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

BRIDGERTON SEASON 3
Bridgerton gossip queen Penelope Feathrington and Luke Newton unveiled the title of the premiere episode of season 3 which is focused on their story. The premiere is titled “Out of the Shadows,” which is written by Bridgerton’s new showrunner, Jess Brownell, and directed by Tricia Brock, who helmed the first two episodes of Season 2. “Dearest gentlereader, we have been apart for far too long,” Coughlan reads the Lady Whistledown’s letter. “At last, London’s smart set has made its return. And so too has this author.”

EMILY IN PARIS SEASON 3
After unveiling the first look photos earlier this week, the cast shared the release date for the upcoming season 3 of the show. The series will be back on screens December 2.

SHADOW & BONE SEASON 2
Patrick Gibson, Jack Wolfe, Anna Leong Brophy, Lewis Tan along with Ben Barnes and Jessie Mei Li present the first glimpse at the season 2 of Grishaverse at the TUDUM event.

THE RECRUIT
Noah Centineo returns to Netflix but this time in more solid action packed role. He stars as Owen Hendricks, a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job gets off to a rocky start. The stakes are high and he must now travel the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.

EXTRACTION 2
Chris Hemsworth unveiled the first look of the sequel, produced by Russo Brothers and shared behind-the-scenes of high octane action sequences.

YOU SEASON 4
The thriller returns in 2023 and it will be split into two parts and it’s all about a murder mystery. Part 1 premieres February 10, followed by Part 2 on March 10.

1899
From creators Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar of Dark comes 1899, a new mystery-thriller series that’s about to set sail. As per TUDUM, the logline reads, “At the end of the 19th century, passengers’ journey from London to New York, looking forward to a new life that awaits them in the New World. When their ship comes across another one adrift at sea, all their hopes and dreams turn into an unexpected nightmare.” The series will be multi-language. The cast includes Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, Miguel Bernardeau, Maciej Musial, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Rosalie Craig, Clara Rosager, Maria Erwolter, Yann Gael, Mathilde Ollivier, José Pimentão, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Jonas Bloquet, Fflyn Edwards, Alexandre Willaume and Anton Lesser.

THE WITCHER SEASON 3
The season 3 of Henry Cavill-led series will arrive in summer 2023 as the cast is currently on their 54th day of shoot schedule.

THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN
The series is set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher, in an elvish civilization that has yet to interact with humans or monsters. It follows a trio of warrior elves (Michelle Yeoh, Laurence O’Fuarain, and Sophia Brown) who will become entangled with the creation of the first prototype Witcher. It also spans the events leading up to the Conjunction of the Spheres — the moment the human, elf and monster worlds collide. Minnie Driver joins the spin-off as the narrator.

VIKINGS: VALLAHA SEASON 2
While a peek into the season 2 was unveiled, it was also announced that they have wrapped the season shoot and will begin season 3 soon. “I’m thrilled to be able to confirm that we wrapped Season 2 and that production will start soon on Season 3,” says showrunner Jeb Stuart. “While the storylines for Leif, Freydís, Harald, Olaf, Canute and the rest of our amazing cast are secret, I can say without hesitation that their journeys will be even more epic than what you’ve seen so far.”

THE WATCHER
A new trailer was unveiled about the upcoming series. The logline reads, “A sprawling suburban home, an inviting new neighborhood and an anonymous letter threatening to spy on you indefinitely.” Led by Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, the series includes a majorly stacked cast including Mia Farrow, Noma Dumezweni, Joe Mantello, Richard Kind, Terry Kinney, Margo Martindale and Jennifer Coolidge, to name just a few. The Watcher is also based on a true, as-yet-unsolved case about the real-life family who moved into 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey, and began receiving threatening letters from a stalker.

THE MOTHER
The Mother sees Jennifer Lopez as an assassin who’s forced to come out of hiding to protect the daughter she left earlier in life. They’re both fleeing from dangerous assailants, and, as we see in the teaser, their circumstances look pretty dire. Directed by Niki Caro, the movie also stars Joseph Fiennes, Gael García Bernal, Omari Hardwick and Lucy Paez.

MANIFEST SEASON 4
Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas unveiled the first full-length trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Manifest.

YOUR PLACE OR MINE
Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher’s new romantic comedy will be Valentine’s week release, on February 10. It follows the story of “Debbie (Witherspoon) and Peter (Kutcher), who are best friends and total opposites. She craves routine with her son in LA; he thrives on change in New York. When they swap houses and lives for a week, they discover what they want might not be what they really need.” The cast also includes Jesse Williams, Zoë Chao, Wesley Kimmel, Griffin Matthews, Rachel Bloom, Shiri Appleby, Vella Lovell, Tig Notaro and Steve Zahn.

THE CROWN SEASON 5
The Crown returns on November 5. Imelda Staunton and Jonathan Pryce, who will take over the roles of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, respectively. Lesley Manville will essay the role of Princess Margaret, whereas Claudia Harrison takes on the role of Princess Anne, and Jonny Lee Miller will play Prime Minister John Major. The fifth season, which stars Elizabeth Debicki and Dominic West as Diana and Charles, will dive into the divorce of the Prince and the Princess of Wales. It will mostly end with the storyline of the death of Princess Diana.

SLUMBERLAND
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film stars Jason Momoa and Marloy Barkley along with Chris O’Dowd, Kyle Chandler, Weruche Opia, India de Beaufort and Humberly Gonzalez. It will premiere on November 18.

WEDNESDAY
Jenna Ortega stars in Tim Burton’s The Addams Family spin-off, Wednesday. The film also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Garfunkel and Oates’ Riki Lindhome as Dr. Valerie Kinbott; Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Wednesday’s younger brother. Gwendoline Christie will also appear as a main cast member known as Larissa Weems.

NEVER HAVE I EVER SEASON 4
While this marks the final season, the lead cast introduces the new guy in school. Michael Cimino joins as Ethan for the final season along with Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet returning for some more fun.

The series is currently under production.

GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY
In a new clip, a colorful cast of characters receives exactly that privilege. Miles Bron (Edward Norton) has invited his closest friends to an island getaway where they will…investigate his murder. The only catch? They have to solve an intricate puzzle box first. Watch the below clip before the film arrives on December 23.

OUTER BANKS SEASON 3
The new season will premiere on Netflix in 2023. The clip features stunning footage of island beaches with a voiceover from our hero John B (Chase Stokes) saying, “Pops always said nothing good comes easy; nothing worthy is given. The question is what are you willing to do to win? How far will you go to get your treasure?”

THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL
The film follows best friends Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), as they find themselves on opposing sides of an epic battle when they’re swept away into an enchanted school where aspiring heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between Good and Evil. Starring Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington, The School for Good and Evil premieres on Netflix on October 19, 2022.

HEARTSTOPPER SEASON 2
The cast has begun filming for season 2 and one can expect some new faces joining the series.

ALICE IN BORDERLAND SEASON 2
Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) are set to return with ne season in December 2022. In the Japanese sci-fi thriller, the new cast includes Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, Sho Aoyagi and Riisa Naka. The series premieres on December 22.

BREAKING: Mani Ratnam reveals Ajay Devgn is the narrator in the Hindi version of Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1

Mani Ratnam is all set to release his much-awaited film, Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1, in cinemas and the excitement is palpable. After all, he’s considered one of the finest filmmakers of Indian cinema. The trend of having crossover films has picked up recently but his films have made a mark in Hindi-speaking markets since the time of Roja (1992). Hence, not just in the Southern markets but Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1 has a chance to excel even in the Hindi belts, when it’ll be released on September 30.

BREAKING: Mani Ratnam reveals Ajay Devgn is the narrator in the Hindi version of Ponniyin Selvan: Part-1

Mani Ratnam along with the cast of his film – Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Trisha – and music composer A R Rahman attended the grand press conference of the film in Mumbai, on September 24. At this event, he revealed that Ajay Devgn has done the narration in the film. He revealed about this and also thanked the versatile star, with whom he had worked before in Yuva (2004). He also thanked Anil Kapoor, for voicing the Hindi dubbed version of the theatrical trailer.

Mani Ratnam said, “PS (Ponniyin Selvan) has been a dream for a very long time, since the time I first read the book during my school days. I neither thought I’d ever get into films nor did I think I’d make it. But it’s always been my calling to be made. It’s so spectacular as a story and as an adventure. Several people had tried to do this before. They couldn’t for various reasons. Maybe they wanted to leave it for me! I am so happy and so glad that I got a chance to make it, that too at this point in time when the technology has improved tremendously. Hence, we were able to make it with a lot more comfort and authenticity. To be able to do it with this kind of cast and crew, with actors who are not just right for the role but also care for the film, is very special. I’d like to thank each one of them. I’d also like to thank the producer (Allirajah Subaskaran) who trusted us and gave us the money to go ahead and make it.”

Mani Ratnam then added, “I have two more people thank. They are from the Hindi film industry. One is Anil Kapoor. It was his voice in the trailer. And the other is Ajay Devgn. It will be his voice in the film.”

Mani Ratnam later revealed his previous attempt in making Ponniyin Selvan more than three decades ago. He said, “This is the film that M G Ramachandran wanted to make. And I thought of making it after my film Nayakan (1987) with Kamal Haasan. We both wanted to do this film. At that time, we had not started casting. We just had Kamal as the hero and we were working on the script. And it didn’t materialize because it’s too big. We couldn’t put the whole story into a single film. Also, we couldn’t afford it.”
