HITS AND MISSES OF THE WEEK: Sonam Kapoor make style statements; Sara Ali Khan leaves us unimpressed

It was yet another eventful week for Bollywood’s biggest stars. From promoting their films with zeal to from being out and about in the city and getting dolled up for their television appearances, every diva made sure they shone like stars no matter what the event or occasion was. Although their fashion choices baffled us at times, but Bollywood’s leading ladies also delivered some of the chicest looks in statement-making ensembles, and we’re here for it! Take a look at our selections for the best and worst dressed celebrities this week.

HITS:

SONAM KAPOOR
Sonam Kapoor is unquestionably stylish. The actor’s fashion journals are both envious and drool-worthy. The actor enjoys sharing key fashion cues with her fans via excerpts from her fashion journals. Sonam gave us major winter outfit goals when she uploaded a tonne of photographs of herself a day ago. Sonam served as the inspiration for the fashion house Moschino and chose a winter outfit from its racks. Sonam was dressed in a black blouse with a turtleneck and some black formal pants. Her ochre long kilt with one thigh-high slit and the ochre trench coat she wore over it gave her look more of a wintery feel. Sonam completed her outfit with black Louis Vuitton and Nike boots, a gold bracelet, gold hoops for her earrings, and a Rolex watch. Sonam kept her hair neatly bunned and didn’t wear much makeup. She nailed the winter look with neutral eyeshadow, black eyeliner, mascara-coated eyelashes, contoured cheeks, and a neutral lipstick colour.

TAMANNAAH BHATIA
Tamannaah Bhatia has demonstrated several times that she is a real fashion icon. Whether it’s her festive attire or her gorgeous red-carpet appearances, Tamannaah Bhatia always wears the latesttrends. In a black statement saree gown from Manish Malhotra’s designer line, the actor brings the same sensibility to the Vogue Forces of Fashion event in Mumbai as he has for previous festive occasions. The actress donned a structured, embroidered saree with a pallu that resembled a veil and a tube corset top for a blouse. The traditional item was embellished with many little sparkling details that added glam to the spectacle. Tamannaah chose a set of statement rings and studded earrings as her accessories. She wore glitzy makeup with shimmery lids, contoured cheeks and glossy lips.

KRITI SANON
For the promotions of her upcoming film, Bhediya, nothing was different. The actress accessorised her monochrome striped co-ord ensemble with an oversized shirt from July Issue’s racks. Kriti’s striped accents provided a change of pace from the monochromatic outfits she has been sporting at recent occasions. Kriti wore a straight bandeau top with thin straps that was striped in black and white. She topped her top with a full-sleeved, baggy shirt with similar monochromatic striped pattern. Her outfit included a miniskirt with monochromatic stripes. Her three-piece outfit is for Rs. 20,000. The monochromatic outfit looked great with the chic, pointed black heels. She wore hoop earrings as jewellery. Her makeup featured cheek contouring, filled-in brows, and a hint of an earthy brown colour on the lips. She had her hair open and curled unevenly.

KIARA ADVANI
She chose a stylish leather outfit  from Versace and posed for an indoor photo-shoot. The actor chose a leather corset top from Versace with denim accents for the photo shoot. She is wearing a sleeveless top with a scoop neckline and V-shaped boning to highlight her form. It is made of denim with elasticized inserts, and the shoulder straps are embellished with Medusa hardware. Kiara continued to exude beauty. She also paired her top with a pair of bodycon-inspired black latex leggings. Her leggings exhibit Versace’s renowned sensual style. An elasticized waistline completes them. Versace’s eye-catching runway footwear, black satin heels with a double platform and a high block heel, completed her ensemble. Rhinestones and a distinctive Medusa charm embellish the ankle strap.

MISSES

SARA ALI KHAN
Although Pataudi Princess may serve as a source of inspiration for Gen Z in terms of style, she frequently fails to wow. This time, it was her red-and-black dress that gave us the willies. Sara uploaded a lot of photos to Instagram. This time, she wore a crimson high-waist skirt with a thigh-high slit and a black off-the-shoulder top. Sara’s form did not match the colour scheme, and the dress had an odd vibe. The appearance was made worse by braiding her hair and wearing black creeper heels.

SONAKSHI SINHA

The film’s producers arranged a special screening of it on Thursday in Mumbai, starring Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan. The red carpet was dazzling with a star-studded lineup that ranged from Janhvi Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam, and Shahid Kapoor to Rajkummar Rao, Zayed Khan, and many more. Sonakshi’s attire was unimpressive. However, denim clothing often looks simply fantastic on every occasion. Her baggy denim jeans and enormous denim jacket, however, fell short of expectations. It looked awful because of the red embroidery and tassels.

Shehnaaz Gill scolds security personnel to let her fan be with her

Stars and celebrities are always surrounded by hundreds of fans, who go any heights to get one glimpse of theirs. But then there are some that are not content with just a glimpse; they wish to do something that makes them stand apart from the rest of the fans.

One such female fan of Shehnaaz Gill had her day recently when she succeeded in walking up to the actress. She wasn’t content with that though. The fan, who was in tears to see her favourite star in such close proximity, presented a gold bracelet to Shehnaaz. The actress, who was moved by the gesture, hesitatingly accepted the gift.

But there was more drama in store when a female security guard tried taking the fan away from Shehnaaz. However, the actress in a visibly strict mode ordered the security personnel to not touch the fan and let her be. This made the fan even more emotional and she tried taking out her ring to present it to her favourite star. Shehnaaz vehemently yet politely refused as she felt that would be too much. The actress hugged and kissed the fan in return.

On the work front, Shehnaaz was a part of the successful Punjabi film Honsla Rakh earlier this year. She will next be seen in the keenly-awaited Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Salman Khan and Revathi to reunite for Tiger 3, 32 years after Love

It has been over 30 years since Salman Khan and Revathi’s 1991 romantic film Love released but it still remains memorable for the viewers, especially for the song, ‘Saathiya Tune Kya Kiya.’ Now, the two stars are all set to reunite after 32 years in Yash Raj Films’ ambitious action saga Tiger 3.

The news has been shared by journalist Himesh Mankad on Twitter. He wrote, “Salman Khan and Revathi reunite on Tiger 3 – 32 Years after #Love, #SalmanKhan and #Revathi will be seen sharing the screen-space in #Tiger3. Character details kept under wraps. The action packed thriller is set for a Diwali 2023 release.”

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 is one of the most excitedly awaited films of Bollywood. Being the third film in the Tiger series after Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, it will repeat the casting of Katrina Kaif, who plays the leading lady opposite Salman, and Ranvir Shorey. Apart from Revathi, the makers have also roped in the fresh cast of Emraan Hashmi and Vishal Jethwa. The film will also have a special cameo from Shah Rukh Khan.

Although Salman and Revathi didn’t share screen after Love, the actor did act in her directorial venture Phir Milenge in 2004. The film, which also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty, spoke about AIDS awareness.

As an actor, Revathi was last seen in the emotional saga Aye Zindagi, which released just last month.

EXCLUSIVE: Giorgia Andriani opens up about getting married to Arbaaz Khan

Giorgia Andriani, who is doing a music video with actor Gurmeet Choudhary, opened up about entering the Bollywood industry. The model turned actress is rumoured to be dating Arbaaz Khan after the latter separated from Malaika Arora. In this exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, she discussed her relationship with the actor-producer and the rumours about their wedding.

Fans of the couple have been wondering about their marriage and in the recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Giorgia Andriani decided to put an end to the rumours. She said, “Like I said we’re very good friends. But coming to wedding or marriage, to be honest, it is something that we’re not really looking at.” However, accepting the close bond they share, the model turned actress recalled the pandemic time and how lockdown changed their relationship. She added, “The lockdown has made us think. In fact, it has made people either come closer or to drift apart.”

For the unversed, Italian model Giorgia Andriani met Arbaaz Khan after the latter separated with his former wife Malaika Arora, The estranged couple have a teenage boy named Arhaan Khan and the duo were married for almost 20 years. In the same interview, Andriani also revealed that not only has she met the Khan family but she has also met the actor-producer’s former wife Malaika Arora too.

Fatima Sana Shaikh calls Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira’s engagement party a “mad afternoon”

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan got engaged to the love of her life Nupur Shikhare last week. One of the attendees at the wedding was Aamir’s two-time co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh. The actress shared a number of pictures from the ceremony to celebrate the happy occasion on her official Instagram page.

The first picture sees Fatima posing with the newly-engaged couple Ira and Nupur. Along with that, she also shared quite a few other pictures from the party featuring her and the couple.

Fatima captioned the post, “What a mad afternoon that was!!! So happy to see guys celebrate Your love and the was so infectious… My heart was swelling with love and affection for both of you. I am glad I could be a part of it. Pyaar pyaar pyaar.” Ira commented on the post saying, “Love you so much.” In another comment, she wrote, “The second photo is probably my favourite photo of the day!”

Fatima has acted with Aamir in the blockbuster Dangal and later in Thugs Of Hindostan. While in the former she played the real-life wrestler Geeta Phogat, the latter saw her essay the character of a warrior.

On the work front, Fatima was last seen in the Netflix movie Thar earlier this year, which starred Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor.

Cirkus: Makers drop three fresh posters of Ranveer Singh starrer featuring colours, madness and fun

A day after treating fans with the first motion poster of Cirkus, the makers of the Ranveer Singh starrer dropped three intriguing posters. Each poster captures the star cast of the film in a different mood. For the unversed, the Rohit Shetty directorial is slated to release on December 23 this year.

Interestingly, a week ago, Ranveer had taken to his official Instagram handle and announced the wrap of the film. “Shooting khatam, Promotion ki planning shuru (shooting is over, now planning for promotions starts)! Mass-ter filmmaker ke Mass-ter plans!!! Buahahahaha!,” followed by a clown and a circus tent emoticon.

Post the announcement, Bollywood Hungama was the first to report about the trailer launch of the forthcoming film. A source close to the development told us, “The trailer will be out in the period of December 1 to December 3. The team is planning a grand launch for the trailer and there will be a big build-up leading to the trailer unveil. Like all Rohit Shetty films, the trailer launch will be followed by the launch of two big songs and finally a release on December 23.”

Speaking on the marketing strategy, the source further added, “That aside, the trailer will be screened every single day at all multiplexes until the release of the film. It’s a masterstroke from Rohit and Ranveer too was mighty impressed with the marketing brain.”

Interestingly, the upcoming comedy film will be Shetty and Singh’s second collaboration, after 2018’s Simmba and the latter’s cameo in Sooryavanshi, which was released in 2021. Ranveer will be seen playing a double role for the first time. The ensemble star cast of Cirkus also features a bunch of talented actors, including Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Varun Sharma, Tiku Talsania, and Vrajesh Hirjee.

EXCLUSIVE: “Age is just a number,” says Giorgia Andriani on the age gap between her and Arbaaz Khan

Giorgia Andriani and Arbaaz Khan are a happy couple. But, in the age of social media, they often get targeted for the over 20-year age gap between them. When Bollywood Hungama asked Giorgia her reaction on this matter in an exclusive conversation, she gave a sorted answer.

“I’ve never felt like he’s so much… like, I am so much younger than him,” she said. “Age is never something that I really take seriously because I look at somebody’s energy. Like I don’t look at their age.”

She elaborated, “If for me, if the person is like 100 years old, I will still talk to them if they are like fun, I would still talk to them. Or if the person is younger than me for that matter. It’s not that I’m like, no, you’re younger than me, so I won’t talk to you. Age for me is really just a number.”

Georgia is currently trying to make a major impact in Bollywood. Arbaaz, on the other hand, was last seen in the recently-released web-series on Sony LIV titled Tanaav.
