In development at Netflix, Wednesday marks the directorial debut for Burton on the small screen. In some ways, it comes full circle for the director who had previously passed on directing the hit movie adaptation of The Addams Family from 1991.

Dubbed The Golden Palace, the spinoff aired for just one season following the conclusion of The Golden Girls, and because it hasn't been available for streaming, it's largely been forgotten. That changes next month as Hulu announced that The Golden Palace starts streaming in January.



First Look of The Dropout Revealed: Amanda Seyfried Plays Infamous Theranos Founder Elizabeth Holmes

Hulu has recently revealed the first look for its upcoming limited series The Dropout, which stars the Mamma Mia actress Amanda Seyfried as Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. The Hulu series focuses on the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire (according to Forbes), and how she lost it all after it turned out her industry was based on fraudulent promises. The Dropout will be a six-episode miniseries, with three episodes releasing at first, with three more to follow subsequently.



Netflix's Wednesday Will Reunite Tim Burton and Danny Elfman

When it comes to the most prolific collaborations in Hollywood, there are few that can match that of director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman. Having works on dozens of projects together, including Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, Alice in Wonderland and so many more, the pair are now teaming up yet again on Burton’s new Addams Family based Netflix show, Wednesday. As well as providing the opening theme music for the new series, Elfman will also be working alongside Scott Bacon to create the individual scores and theme music for specific episodes as well.



Warner Bros. Wants To Create New Harry Potter Content For HBO Max

Following the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J.K. Rowling professed that she was done with the boy wizard and wanted to concentrate on other projects. Since then, we have seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child appear on stage, with constant rumors of a movie to the big screen happening at some point, and the third film in the Fantastic Beasts trilogy is about to hit cinemas next year. With the Harry Potter movie franchise now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Warner Bros. are also keen to expand on the Wizarding World with new content for HBO Max, as was reported in THR this week.
