Quantum Leap Sequel Series Gets Pilot Order at NBC

The Quantum Leap revival series, long demanded to happen by many fans of the original series, has just taken a huge step forward. Per The Hollywood Reporter, has put into production a pilot for a new Quantum Leap that would serve as a continuation of the original series with new lead stars. The sequel has been officially greenlit, but NBC will need to be impressed with the results before committing to a full series order.



The Offer, Miniseries About Making of The Godfather, Comes to Paramount+ This April

Paramount+ recently announced that a miniseries about the making of The Godfather will come to the streaming service in April. The upcoming tv show, titled The Offer, will include multiple hours of new content. The central perspective for the upcoming limited series will focus around the two-time Oscar-winning producer Albert S. Rudy, who is being played by Miles Teller (Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick​​​​​​). In addition to being one of the key players on screen, the real life Rudy serves as a producer for the show.



Degrassi to Return in 2023 with Series Revival on HBO Max

It will soon be time to meet the new students in a Degrassi series revival. HBO Max has announced that an all-new incarnation of the high school drama series is coming back with a revival in 2023. Per Shadow and Act, the series comes from showrunners Lara Azzopardi (The Bold Type) and Julia Cohen (Riverdale) with 10 hour-long episodes expected to launch in the United States on HBO Max next year. Filming will reportedly start later in 2022.



Shadow and Bone Starts Production on Season 2, Netflix Reveals New Cast Members

Production has officially started on the second season of Shadow and Bone. Along with the announcement that new episodes are officially underway, Netflix also revealed that four new names have been added to the cast. While Danielle Galligan, Daisy Head, and Calahan Skogman have been promoted to series regulars, joining the cast are Anna Leong Brophy, Lewis Tan, Patrick Gibson, and Jack Wolfe.

Life Goes On is coming back with a sequel, and it's heading to NBC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The sequel series will reportedly bring back actress Kellie Martin aka Becca Thatcher.

With the success (and cliffhanger!) of the Hulu streamer, Only Murders In The Building, it was inevitable that the true crime-obsessed threesome, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, would return to the scene of the literal crime to continue the story and their podcast. Martin Short handed some juicy tidbits to Deadline of what the audience has in store for the next case of murder! “Before Christmas, [I shot scenes with] Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer,” he said. “The quality of actor that this show is attracting makes it endlessly fun to go to work.” Nathan Lane will be returning as Teddy Dimas along with Tina Fey reprising her role as Cinda Canning, a wink to the ‘Serial’ co-creator Sarah Koenig. Cara Delevingne will be joining the cast.



Netflix Comedy Series Murderville Has All-Star Cast Improvising a Murder Mystery

Netflix will bring its star-studded comedy series Murderville to the streaming service next month, and some first look photos have been revealed. Starring Will Arnett as a detective who must solve a murder in every episode, each mystery will bring in a different celebrity guest to serve as his temporary partner on the case. The catch is that none of the actors are given a script, and it will be up to them to solve the mystery all while remaining in character.
