King of the Hill fans are closer than ever to making a return to Arlen, Texas. Per The Hollywood Reporter, series creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels recently reunited to form the animation company Bandera Entertainment. Their goal is to expand the animation genre to include as many sub-genres as live-action fare, and they've spent the past couple years building up a slate of various animated projects.
The popular Iranian-born actor Golshifteh Farahani is the latest addition to the cast of Arnaud Desplechin's upcoming project Brother and Sister. The current ensemble for the film includes Marion Cotillard and famed French actor/director Melvil Poupaud, famous for his roles in By the Grace of God and Laurence Anyways.
News of the Latinx dramedy Gentefied canceled on Netflix hit the creator family and everyone associated with the show understandably hard. Fans are sure to miss following the life of the Morales family as the three cousins struggle to fulfill their American dream. Linda Yvette Chávez, co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner of Gentefied, shared a personal essay Friday following Netflix’s decision to cancel the show after two seasons.
Marvel fans were finally able to watch the full trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight on Monday, and while there was much to take away from the new footage, it was the first look at Ethan Hawke’s villain that had many fans doing a double-take as they were convinced they were actually seeing Kevin Bacon. The two-minute trailer revealed a very vague introduction to the nearly unknown character among casual Marvel fans, and has certainly raised the intrigue level around the upcoming series which will be arriving in March. However, fans on social media just couldn’t help but comment on how much Hawke’s look is very reminiscent of Kevin Bacon’s Tremors character of Valentine McKee.
Alex Trebek had a pretty good idea of whom he wanted to succeed him as the host of Jeopardy!, but that option was not treated seriously by the show's producers. Attorney and CNN legal analyst Laura Coates, who hosts The Laura Coates Show on SiriusXM, caught the attention of Trebek before the longtime Jeopardy! host's passing in 2020. In 2018, Trebek had personally named Coates as one of his picks for who could be the next host of the show after he was gone.
