Legendary Announces MonsterVerse Expansion with Live-Action Godzilla Series at Apple TV+

Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse is officially set to make a comeback to the television screen at Apple TV+. The announcement recently came when Deadline reported a landmark deal that will bring Legendary's pre-existing franchise to Apple TV+. It has also been revealed that an untitled live-action television series taking place in the MonsterVerse is already in the works, and will feature Godzilla and several other titans. It's been nearly a year since we last saw the King of Monsters battle it out against the former ruler of Skull Island in the highly-anticipated film Godzilla vs. Kong. The latest MonsterVerse film proved to be a huge success, as it became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2021.



Wallace and Gromit to Make TV Return for First Time in 15 Years

Wallace and Gromit, the lovable animated duo created in 1989 by Nick Park, are returning to screens in a brand new short film that will premiere on the BBC and Netflix during Christmas 2024. It is over fifteen years since Wallace and Gromit appeared in their last adventure, A Matter of Loaf and Death, and following the death of Peter Sallis, who provided the voice of Wallace in all their appearances, many believed that there would be no new outings for the characters in the future. Along with the first look at Aardman Animation's upcoming Chicken Run sequel, the announcement of the new project from Netflix came as an unexpected surprise to fans.

Many of Sofia Vergara’s fans are used to seeing the actress in comedy mode as one of the lead stars of Modern Family, the hugely popular sitcom that helped the Columbian actress become the highest-paid female star in Hollywood in 2020. With the series coming to an end in April 2020, Vergara is now seemingly turning her attention to other projects, and one of those is the true-crime drama Griselda, in which she plays the title role of a drug trafficker who goes by many names. Coming from the team behind Narcos, Vergara will also be executive producer on the six-part series, which is expected to arrive on Netflix later this year, and Entertainment Weekly shared a first look at an almost unrecognizable Vergara in character.
