Cena delivers a stellar performance in the show, which is further complemented by Robert Patrick, who plays Peacemaker’s dad, Auggie Smith. But Patrick’s character is not a doting father, as the show soon reveals him to be a white supremacist who’s got nothing but resentment for his son.

Blade Runner 2099 Live-Action Series is Happening at Amazon with Ridley Scott

The Blade Runner story is moving forward on the small screen. Deadline reports that Amazon Studios has production has started on Blade Runner 2099, a live-action series that serves as a continuation of the Ridley Scott's 1982 film Blade Runner and its 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049. Scott is on board to executive produce the series while Silka Luisa (Apple TV+'s upcoming drama Shining Girls) will serve as a writer and executive producer. The series is a collaboration between Scott Free Productions in association with Alcon Entertainment and Amazon Studios.
