CBFC spares the action and intimate scenes in Tiger Shroff-Tara Sutaria’s Heropanti 2; replaces ‘moot’ with ‘thook’

Tiger Shroff debuted 8 years ago with Heropanti (2014) and it instantly catapulted him into stardom. Hence, there’s a buzz for his next film, Heropanti 2. That it’s going to be released during the Eid week (April 29) has also enhanced the buzz.

Bollywood Hungama has found out that Heropanti 2 has already secured a censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently. The film has not got any visual cuts and hence, all the action scenes and kissing moments between Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria have been passed without a cut.

However, three modifications have been made in the dialogues. At the beginning of the film, the word ‘kanjar’ has been replaced with ‘danger’. In the middle of the first half, the word ‘bastard’ was removed and replaced with ‘bloody’. Lastly, in the second half, the word ‘moot’ was replaced by ‘thook’.

After these cuts were carried out, Heropanti 2 was awarded a U/A certificate on April 20 by the CBFC. The total length of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 142 minutes. In other words, Heropanti 2 is 2 hours and 22 minutes long.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Heropanti 2’s USP is the action. It’s great that the CBFC didn’t ask for any cuts in these scenes. The makers also carefully planned the fight scenes and stunts in such a manner that it doesn’t become too violent or disturbing. Moreover, they know that Tiger Shroff has a huge fan base among kids. As a result, there’s no way the film can have too much bloodshed.”

Besides Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, Heropanti 2 also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the main villain. A R Rahman has composed the songs in this action film, which is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. While Heropanti was directed by Sabbir Khan, Heropanti 2 is helmed by Ahmed Khan, who also directed Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 (2018) and Baaghi 3 (2020).

Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Wedding: “Being newly in love is always exhilarating” – When Ranbir talked about his relationship with Alia

Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who have been in a relationship for a while, got hitched on April 14. The actors were keeping mum on their impending nuptials but on April 13, both Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji unveiled a teaser of the song ‘Kesariya’ from Brahmastra confirming that the two actors are getting married this week. The festivities began on April 13.

Back in 2018, while promoting Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about Alia Bhatt during GQ interview but was still hesitant. “It’s still very new, and I don’t want to disclose too much information. It demands breathing room and time,” the actor said. “What is the right term for Alia? – Right now, I’m flowing as an actor and as a person. When I see her work, when I see her perform, even in real life, she gives me an idea of who I want to be. Because it’s fresh to us, we’ll let it simmer for a little longer.”

“It’s a new person, new beats,” he explained, “and [being newly in love] is always exhilarating.” Old tricks, such as charm and enthusiasm, evolve into new ones. I believe I am more balanced now. Relationships are more essential to me. I now have a deeper understanding of sorrow and the devastation it causes others than I had a few years ago.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding festivities began on April 13 and ended on April 17. The actors will also be seen on big screen together with Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The film arrives in theatres on September 9, 2022.

KGF – Chapter 2 Box Office: Film has a blockbuster extended week, will enter Rs. 300 Crore Club over the weekend

Brace up for the first Rs. 300 Crore Club blockbuster since the release of War which happened way back in October 2019. Ever since then there have been only three Hindi films that have been in contention to achieve this milestone. Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior has been the biggest since then but unfortunately it felt shortly. The Kashmir Files did give an impression at one point in time that it may just reach there but then fell short. As for RRR (Hindi), it did well enough to even reach the Rs. 200 Crore Club and everything that has come post this milestone is an added bonus.

That’s going to be the case for KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) as well which will enter the Rs. 300 Crore Club with ease this Sunday and then go on to accumulate added moolah to make a case for 400 Crore Club entry. That would be the real challenge for the Prashanth Neel directed film because even though the collections have been quite good during the weekdays, in comparison with the bumper opening weekend they have slowed down a bit. Though Rs. 375 crores total is still guaranteed for the film, it would be the journey from there to the Rs. 400 crores mark that would be closely observed.

The film currently stands at Rs. 268.63 crores after bringing in Rs. 13.58 crores on Thursday and to collect over Rs. 32 crores in next three days is going to be a breeze. Blockbuster.

Ajay Devgn drops a glimpse of his face-off with Amitabh Bachchan in Runway 34- “Galti toh sirf pilot ki hai”

Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rakul Preet Singh are gearing up for the release of their film Runway 34. Directed by Ajay Devgn, the film will hit the theatres on April 29. Ahead of the release of the film, Ajay shared a dialogue promo featuring him and Amitabh Bachchan in a face-off in the court.

Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh essay the role of a pilot in the film. An incident on a flight mid-air lands them in court. Amitabh Bachchan who plays a lawyer gives Ajay and Rakul a tough time in the court accusing them of wrongdoing. The new promo shows Ajay standing face-to-face with Amitabh Bachchan and talking about how it is always the pilot’s fault in every situation related to a flight.

Earlier while talking about his show off with Amitabh Bachchan, the actor said, “It’s a conflict between a rule maker and a rule breaker. And sometimes he wins an argument, sometimes I win an argument and we both try to put each other down and this was just a part of it.”

FIRST LOOK: Ranveer Singh performs without choreography in Jayeshbhai Jordaar’s new song, Firecracker

Ranveer Singh is starring in Yash Raj Films’ Jayeshbhai Jordaar, a big screen entertainer that will present a new brand of hero and heroism that is rare in Indian cinema. Ranveer has again shape-shifted to transform himself into a character hailing from heartland Gujarat, who with his razor-sharp wit, will entertain us, win over our hearts and also deliver a powerful message. Ranveer has turned into an item boy in the film for its new song ‘Firecracker’ which he performed without being choreographed.

Ranveer reveals, “Firecracker is a vibe. Maneesh was very clear. Divyang was very clear that, look, you’ve performed the entire character now; you’ve gone through the entire graph, the journey of the character. Now the character’s yours, you’ve made it your own so we won’t choreograph it! You just freestyle, in character, as Jayesh would.”

He adds, “Barring the hook step, I was just left to be and to dance the way Jayesh would dance. Being in character, the moves would just come out, stumble out of me and we captured that. It has its own appeal. Jayesh is an endearing character and it’s that aspect of him that he wanted to present and showcase in the song. Just the great joie de vivre that he possesses, this great love of life, this joyous, beaming grateful heart that he has.”

Ranveer is supremely confident that the song will make everyone smile! He says, “Every time I have been in the presence of somebody who was watching firecracker, they’ve got a smile plastered on their face from beginning to end; which means that there is a certain amount of joy that that song and that character and that performance is giving.”

He adds, “It makes people smile and that’s very fulfilling for me because I believe, that is my purpose on earth, to make people smile; and if I am able to do that through my craft, that’s very fulfilling to me.”

A hilarious satire on society – Jayeshbhai Jordaar, produced by Maneesh Sharma, also stars Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey, who debuts on Bollywood’s big screen opposite Ranveer. The film has been directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and is releasing worldwide on May 13, 2022.

Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt Wedding: Couple to move into Kapoor family bungalow

Krishna Raj, the home that Rishi Kapoor built for his family, is where Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will move in as Man and Wife as soon as it is ready. The bungalow on Pali Hill has been under renovation for the past year.

“It was expected to be ready in time for the Ranbir-Alia wedding. But the renovation is taking much longer than expected. The two wanted to get married only after the bungalow was ready. Now with the construction showing no sign of a closure, the couple has decided to move into Vastu for now,” says a friend of Ranbir and Alia.

Vastu is the building half a kilometer from Krishna Raj where Ranbir had shifted with Katrina Kaif three years ago. It will serve as the newly-married couple’s temporary residence. They are expected to move into Ranbir’s family bungalow in December along with Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor.

RRR Box Office: SS Rajamouli directorial crosses Rs. 1000 crores at worldwide box office

The Ram Charan – Jr. NTR starrer RRR directed by SS Rajamouli has done it. After opening on a good note, the business of the film continued to witness immense growth with each passing day. In fact, RRR which also features special appearances from Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn managed to hold fast despite the competition from other releases. Now, weeks after its release, RRR has managed to cross the Rs. 1000 cr. mark at the worldwide box office.

Collecting a staggering Rs. 880.4 cr. gross from the domestic market and a further Rs. 203.6 cr. gross from the overseas markets the total worldwide gross collections of RRR stand at Rs. 1084 cr. Interestingly, with RRR crossing the Rs. 1000 cr mark, SS Rajamouli has become the only director to have two films that have achieved this target. Following the highly successful Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, RRR has now propelled Rajamouli into the limelight.

Going further, with newer releases in the form of KGF – Chapter 2 dominating screens in both the domestic and overseas markets, the business of RRR has taken a drastic hit. Despite this, the film continues to see collections trickling in with certain locations still featuring the film. However, the current rate of the business will not affect the overall collections of the film much.
