While Priyanka Chopra has been sharing posts about being a doting mother and enjoying her motherhood, the actress seems to have resumed work. In her recent post on social media, the actress shared a photo of her intense expression and bruised face. Needless to say, fans of the former beauty queen were left dumbstruck but it was only when they read the caption, did they realize that it was a part of her reel life.

Priyanka Chopra shared this photo of her without blood spots across her face from the sets of Citadel. The actress captioned the photo saying, “Did u have a tough day at work as well? ???? #actorslife #citadel #adayinthelife @agbofilms @amazonstudios.” Soon concerned fans started sharing their comments on the post expressing their concern regarding the photo. One of her fans said, “What happened are you ok” whereas some other fan posted, “Aap ne to dara hi diya tha” (you scared us). Yet another fan who realized that it was based on her reel life, said, “i thought you actually got hurt ???? love you priyanka! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!”

Priyanka Chopra had taken a break from shooting the sci-fi series Citadel since the actress was enjoying her time with Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The actress will be seen in the American show alongside Richard Madden. The two actors will play Citadel agents along with Roland Moller. The show will have different spinoffs in different countries like India, Spain, and Mexico. The Indian series is expected to have Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starring as the leads.

Cannes 2022: At first press conference as jury member, Deepika Padukone speaks about critiquing films – “I don’t think any of us have the capacity to judge or criticise”

The 75th Cannes Film Festival has officially begun in France. It is an annual film festival that showcases new films from all over the world. This year’s Cannes Film Market features India as the Official Country of Honour. Deepika Padukone is a jury member this year, along with other prominent names from the entertainment industry throughout the world. At the first press conference held by the jury on day 1 of the festival, Deepika spoke about judging the competition while also enjoying the films from across the world that will be showcased at the 10 day festival.

Speaking at the press conference on the opening day of the festival, Deepika said,”I think we are all aware that it is a huge responsibility. But we have also promised each other that we are not going to burden ourselves with that responsibility. I think the idea is to remind ourselves of that audience or that young child who has grown up watching movies . I think cinema is such a powerful tool and powerful medium, it has the ability to impact people’s lives and touch and influence people’s lives,” she said.

“I think to forget for the next two weeks that we actually have this burden and responsibilty and actually enjoy the creative process that is sort of what we are here for. I think we are all creative people. I don’t think any of us have the capacity to judge or critique or criticise,”she added.

For the press conference, Deepika opted for a Sabyasachi ensemble. She effortlessly pulled of a tropical printed shirt, paired with a emerald green pants,a printed scarf on her head and a statement neckpiece. Sharing details of Deepika’s look, her stylist Shaleena Nathani wrote, “Jury member Deepika Padukone at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival. Wearing clothing from Sabyasachi’s Tropic of Calcutta collection – the global resort series, where Indian heritage gets a contemporary update.”

Prithviraj debutante Manushi Chhillar says she was stuck in a sand-storm in the deserts of Rajasthan during the shoot

Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar starrer, Yash Raj Films’ first historical, Prithviraj, which is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay is essaying the role of the legendary warrior who fought valiantly to protect India from the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor. Manushi is playing the role of Prithviraj’s beloved Princess Sanyogita and she reveals getting stuck in a sand-storm in the deserts of Rajasthan while shooting an important scene of the film!

A portion of the big screen spectacle, Prithviraj, has been shot in Jaisalmer, in the middle of the Thar desert, where sand-storms are very common. One day, while shooting, the crew had to evacuate urgently because of a mighty sand-storm but Manushi, unfortunately, got stuck in the middle of it!

Manushi recounts, “I was on top of a sand dune and the crew had to shoot me from below. I could see them motioning to me, trying to say something but I couldn’t hear anything. I could see them waving and shouting but the voice didn’t carry and I thought that they were talking about the scene. Suddenly someone from the choreography team just pushed me down, and I literally rolled down the sand dune and they caught hold of me!”

She adds, “It was a little scary when the sand-storm blew over us, with vans shaking and a black out. I was whisked off to my vanity van and we all took cover! We did resume shooting after some time but it was a strong sand storm!”

Prithviraj has been directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is best known for directing the television epic Chanakya and the critically acclaimed film Pinjar. The ethereally gorgeous Manushi’s launch is definitely one of the most awaited debuts of 2022. The film is set to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Revealed: Tara Sharma and Koel Puri to play mothers to Agastya Nanda and Suhana Khan in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies

So far the focus of interest in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, has been on  the  youngsters. Well, believe it or not the youngsters have  parents too! And Zoya has gone for some  unusual casting in the senior roles. Two of the star kids in the cast Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda’s mothers will be played Koel Puri and Tara Sharma, respectively.

Twenty years ago, Tara made her debut as a leading lady in Anupam Kher’s directorial Om Jai Jagdish where she was cast as Abhishek Bachchan’s wife. Now, Tara will be seen as  Abhishek’s nephew’s mother.

Koel Puri, daughter of media baron Aroon Purie, was never keen on an acting career. She did try her luck in  the movies with films like Everybody Says I’m Fine and The Great Indian Butterfly. Coincidentally, Koel too, like Tara, made her debut in a film Everybody Says I’m Fine  directed by an actor-turned-director Rahul Bose. She was last seen in  the Sonam Kapoor cricket satire The Zoya Factor. Now, Koel is all set to be directed by Zoya Akhtar in The Archies.

Interestingly, both actresses were chosen for their physical resemblance to their screen kids; Agastya Nanda and  Suhana Khan can pass off as Tara Sharma and Koel Puri’s  child.

Bharti Singh apologises for hurting religious sentiments – “Main comedy karti hoon logo ko khush karne ke liye na ki kisi ka dil dukhane ke liye”

Comedian Bharti Singh has taken to social media to post an apology after receiving backlash over an old video. She was been accused of hurting religious sentiments after a video of hers went viral on social media in which she was making fun of beards and moustaches as many said she was disrespecting the Sikh community.

On Instagram, Bharti captioned her video, “Main comedy karti hoon logo ko khush karne ke liye na ki kisi ka dil dukhane ke liye .agar meri kisi baat se koi hurt hua ho tho maaf kar dena aapni behan samjh ke (I do comedy to make people happy, not to make them unhappy. I am sorry if I hurt anyone, please forgive me).” Since then, she has disabled comments on the post.

In the viral video, the comedian is seen talking to Bigg Boss participant Jasmin Bhasin during her appearance on her comedy series Bharti Ka Show. She says, “Dhadhi mooch kyu nahi chahiye. Dhadhi mooch ke bade fayede hote hain. Dudh piyo, aise dhadi munh mein daalo, sewaiyon ka taste aata hai. Mere kaafi friends logo ki shaadi hui hai na, jinki itni itni dhaadi hai, saara din dhadi mein se jue nikalti rehti hai (what’s wrong with beards and moustaches, they have many benefits. Drink milk, and then put the beard in your mouth, you will be able to taste sewaiyaan. Many of my friends have gotten married to men with long beards, and spend the entire day removing lice from them).”

The video was viral on social media after which she received a lot of backlash. She took to Instagram to post a video and said, “For the past one or two days, a video has been going viral. People have also sent this to me, sent messages that I have made fun of beards and moustaches. Please watch that video, I have not mentioned any religion or any caste in it, or that people of this religion keep such beards and face such problems.”

She continued, “You can watch that video, I never said that Punjabi people keep beards. It was a genuine conversation, I was doing comedy with my friend. A lot of people keep beards and moustaches these days. But if people from any religion or caste have been hurt by my comments, I apologise to them with folded hands. I am a Punjabi myself, born in Amritsar, I will always keep Punjab’s honour and I am proud of being a Punjabi.”

Currently, Bharti Singh, who recently gave birth to a baby boy, is hosting The Khatra Khatra Show, along with her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
