Priyanka Chopra has been busy with her upcoming series Citadel, which is produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Russo Brothers. The actress recently returned to the sets to complete the shoot and has been engrossed in some action-packed sequences. She has been sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses through her Instagram and seems like she has had a ‘rough day’ at work.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Priyanka shared a picture of herself casually enjoying ice-cream while she is covered in fake blood. Sharing the selfie, Priyanka said, “Ice cream for lunch. Shoulda seen the other guy (winking emoji).”

Priyanka Chopra has been busy with the Citadel shoot since last year. She had moved to London last year for the extensive shoot. The series also stars Game of Thrones and Eternals star Richard Madden in the lead role.

Pooja Hegde on her dream debut at Cannes 2022 – “I have come as a representative for India; there cannot be a bigger honour for me”

Pooja Hegde made her dream debut at the 75th Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday evening on the red carpet of Top Gun: Maverick premiere. Ahead of her appearance, she attended the Indian Pavilion event where she talked about representing the culture of India and how honoured she is to become a part of it.

The Indian Pavilion was attended by film industry members like Tamannaah Bhatia, R Madhavan, Deepika Padukone, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, AR Rahman and Prasoon Joshi, including others. Hegde thanked Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs as well as Information and Broadcasting, and said, “It has always been a dream to work at Cannes and I think what’s amazing sir – thank you Anurag sir for making this happen – is that I have not come with a brand but I have come with brand India. I have come as a representative for India. There cannot be a bigger honour for me to be very honest, to come as an Indian actor celebrating Indian cinema.”

Hegde said, “We have many stories in India.” Speaking about renowned filmmaker, Satyajit Ray, she continued, “What the West loves about India is Satyajit Ray sir’s films, whether it is the Apu series or whether it is a film like ‘Nayak’ which is about a hero and his personal struggle and it has just been shot so beautifully. It’s got so much skill, so much craft and we have that talent in India, we have it. We just need to stop aping the West and we need to embrace our personal stories whether it is ‘Charulata’. These are like films that are from India which have been celebrated across the globe.”

Pooja Hegde also mentioned AR Rahman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for their contributions to Indian cinema and paid tribute to late Irrfan Khan. She said, “Rahman sir, you have put India on the map. Nawaz sir, you are doing amazing work whether it is working with the West or like, if Irrfan sir was not here today, who also kind of put India on the map.” The actress finished her statement by saying, “So I just feel like we should stop aping the West.”

Cannes 2022: Tamannaah Bhatia looks drop dead gorgeous in dramatic black and white gown by Gauri & Nainika

Cannes Film Festival 2022 officially began on Tuesday. The annual event, which takes place in Cannes, France, has one of the world’s most opulent red carpets. A-list celebrities dress up in their nicest suits and dresses and travel from all over the world to climb the event’s famous red steps. India has been named the first ‘country of honour,’ and Indian superstars have attended the festival’s opening ceremony. Deepika Padukone walked the red carpet in a gold and black saree at the 75th Cannes Film Festival’s opening ceremony, while Urvashi Rautela and Tamannaah Bhatia were also seen looking stunning on the red carpet.

Tamannaah Bhatia is determined to make an impression at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The actress looked stunning on the red carpet in a dramatic black and white gown by Gauri & Nainika. Tamannaah’s monochrome gown had a white cowl neck and a black body-hugging bodice with a bubble hem that flawlessly accentuated Tamannaah’s frame. The gown’s flattering design adds a hint of sensuality and a whole lot of elegance. The gown’s mermaid skirt features a larger-than-life white trail, giving it a fanciful and romantic feel.

Diamond earrings and dramatic eye makeup complimented her outfit. Nude lipstick, accentuated cheekbones, elegant eyeliner, and sharp brows were her glam options. Her hair was swept to one side and styled in soft curls making her look a notch higher. Shaleena Nathani styled Tamannaah for the event.

The actress struck gorgeous poses against a beautiful backdrop in French Riveria. She captioned the photo, “Cannes 2022,” with a black heart emoticon. Her industry friends and followers filled the comment section with sweet comments shortly after she uploaded the post.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Tamannaah Bhatia will be seen next in Anil Ravipudi’s F3: Fun and Frustration. The film is slated to release on May 27, 2022. She also has Bole Chudiyan, Gurthunda Seethakalam, Babli Bouncer, Bhola Shankar and Plan A Plan B in the pipeline.

The first trailer of Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller, Jurnee Smollett, Mark Paguio, Tess Haubrich starrer Spiderhead has arrived and it is action-packed. In a state-of-the-art penitentiary run by brilliant visionary Steve Abnesti (Chris Hemsworth), inmates wear a surgically attached device that administers dosages of mind-altering drugs in exchange for commuted sentences. There are no bars, no cells, or orange jumpsuits.

In Spiderhead, incarcerated volunteers are free to be themselves. Until they’re not. At times, they’re a better version. Need to lighten up? There’s a drug for that. At a loss for words? There’s a drug for that, too. Amber Heard claims Johnny Depp assaulted her on their honeymoon

Amber Heard, who appeared at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia on Monday to testify as part of the defamation case brought against her by former husband Johnny Depp, talked about former husband hitting her on their honeymoon to the point that she feared of getting killed.

The high-profile case in Virginia resumed for a fifth week after a pause. In court on Monday, Heard tearfully told jurors that she believed she’d likely “not survive” if she had remained married to Depp. “I was so scared that it was going to end really badly for me,” she said. “I really didn’t want to leave him. I loved him so much.” The Aquaman actor told jurors on Monday that Depp slammed her against a wall and wrapped a shirt around her neck during their 2015 honeymoon on the Orient Express. The pair married in February 2015 and took their honeymoon on the Orient Express train in July of that year after Depp finished filming the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

“He was squeezing my neck against the railway car for what felt like a very long time,” she said. She said she recalled thinking he could “kill me”. Heard said the Pirates of the Caribbean star would become a “monster” when he was drinking and her efforts to curtail his drug and alcohol use had failed. “The monster had been this thing that was now the norm and not the exception,” she said. “The violence was now normal. I remember being scared that he wouldn’t mean to do it,” she said. Heard also described her marriage as “at times, very loving”. She said that it deteriorated over a period of time to the point that tension and violence became normal.

During their increasingly frequent arguments, Amber Heard claimed that Johnny Depp would frequently harm himself. “In fights he would often cut his arms or hold his knife to his chest or draw blood, superficially at first,” she said. “He also put cigarettes out on himself.” In his own testimony earlier in the trial, Depp said that he never struck Heard and told jurors that she had a “need” for conflict and violence. On Monday, jurors heard a number of audio clips of the former couple arguing. In one clip – which went viral ahead of the trial – Heard can be heard saying she hit Depp. “I was hitting you. I was not punching you,” she can be heard saying. “You’re not punched.” Depp’s lawyers began their cross-examination of Heard later on Monday.

The legal case hinges on a December 2018 opinion piece Amber Heard authored that appeared in the Washington Post. Johnny Depp filed suit against Heard over the op-ed in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Heard did not name Depp in the op-ed but he sued her for implying he was a domestic abuser and is seeking $50 million in damages. Heard countersued, asking for $100 million and claiming she suffered “rampant physical violence and abuse” at his hands.
