Elvis Trailer: Austin Butler takes the stage as King of Rock & Roll in flashy glimpse

Elvis Presley has arrived! Ahead of the premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2022, Warner Bros. on Monday dropped the second trailer of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis starring Austin Butler in titular role.

In the new trailer, we see Elvis avoiding the warnings to give a sexually amped up performance. The trailer gives a glimpse of his relationship with his fans, his mother, his comeback special from 1968, his romance with Priscilla, played by Olivia DeJonge.

The new trailer also gives a glimpse of new music including Eminem and CeeLo Green, Doja Cat, Kacey Musgraves, Jack White, and Stevie Nicks. “Music in this film is as important as words,” Luhrmann previously told Entertainment Weekly. “Because Elvis was a man of few words. When he spoke, he spoke with such intent and meaning, but where he really communicated himself was through song…You hear a lot of classic Elvis, but we also have in the score all sorts of DNA and some contemporary interpretations — ways to make younger audiences understand what Elvis felt like. It isn’t a nostalgia piece.”

A glimpse was showcased at Cinema Con 2022. Warner Bros’ also prepared an extensive Q&A round for its feature biopic Elvis, featuring helmer Baz Luhrmann and later joined by his star Austin Butler. “I love biopic[s], this is not really a biopic,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s really about America in the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s. At the center of culture, for the good, the bad and the ugly, it was Elvis Presley.”

Luhrmann shared that the narrative unfolds through the prism of Tom Parker, played by Hanks, someone he joked about was a newcomer. “He’s a bit nervy and stuff, I had to coach him a lot to get him out of his shell,” he quipped. Then he got serious with compliments, “I have worked with everyone, all sorts of icons and my god, Tom Hanks ­— the Rolls Royce of actors.”

Butler was also asked about his experience of portraying the music legend. “The main thing was I set out to find was his humanity. He’s one of those individuals that has been lifted up to such an iconic status that he’s almost superhuman,” said Butler.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann, Elvis casts Austin Butler in the title role as the King of Rock ‘n Roll. The film also stars Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker and is weeks away from its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

After over 4 years, Dayaben to return on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, confirms producer Asit Kumar Modi

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest-running TV shows in India. The comedy series that narrates the daily life of members of the Gokuldham society with a comic twist is one of the most loved shows in the country. The character of Dayaben essayed by Disha Vakani is among the most popular characters on the show because of her quirky personality. However, Disha Vakani has been missing from the screen for over four years now.

While there was always a glimmer of hope among fans that Disha Vakani will return to the show eventually, the show’s producer Asit Kumar Modi has finally confirmed that the show will see Dayaben later this year. Talking to E-Times he said, “We have no reason to not get back Daya Ben’s character. But we all have faced difficult times in the recent past. 2020-21 was a very tough phase for all of us. But now that things have got better, in 2022 koi bhi acche samay par we are going to bring back the character of Daya Ben and audience will once again get to see the entertainment of Jethalal and Daya Bhabhi”.

However, the producer said that they have not yet finalised who will be playing Dayaben. “I don’t know yet if Disha Vakani will be back as Daya Ben. We still have a very good relation with Disha ji, we are like a family. But now she is married and has a kid and everyone gets busy with their own responsibilities. We all have our personal life, so I won’t be able to comment on that. Lekin joh bhi Disha Ben or Nisha Ben but you will surely get to Daya Ben and we as a team will try our best to give the same entertainment that we gave you before,” he added.

Disha Vakani had gone on indefinite maternity leave in 2017. With her gone, the character of Dayaben was missing from the show. The actress has, however, not officially quit the show.

Tiger has shot for a very challenging and interesting schedule in Ladakh which requires a certain kind of physicality and training. Now he will get into the prep for Rambo and then he will get into Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay Kumar.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office: Film scores a half century in its opening weekend, needs to carry forward the momentum over the weekdays

Finally, there is a film that has revived Bollywood, and how. If the trending so far of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is any indication, it is pretty much a game, set, and match for the film. The start [Rs. 14.11 crores] exceeded expectations and now the weekend is quite good as a half-century has been comfortably scored. In fact, what makes the film’s journey over the weekend special is that it also managed to cross the Rs. 20 crores mark on Sunday, something that’s always a prestigious thing for everyone associated with it.

This is also the first time that Kartik Aaryan has enjoyed a Rs. 20 crores+ day, which is a testimony to the kind of pull he enjoys amongst the family audiences. While he has managed to do that on Sunday, the day isn’t far away when he manages to do that on the first day itself. Will that require a holiday, to begin with, or will it happen on a non-holiday itself? Well, that would be seen once Shehzada, his next big ticket film releases later this year. However, all said and done, the film will definitely take a much bigger start than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

The film collected Rs. 23.51 crores more on Sunday and currently stands at Rs. 55.96 crores. The momentum gained so far has been quite good and by the look of things, there are chances of a double-digit score on Monday as well. The Anees Bazmee-directed film is all set to be a BIG winner at the box office and it would be known in a couple of weeks from now how big is it going to be.
