Singer KK dies at 53 after performing on stage in Kolkata

Popular singer KK has passed away. He was reportedly performing on stage in Kolkata in West Bengal when he passed away. He was 53.

As per reports, KK collapsed on stage during his performance and was rushed to the hospital. At around 10 pm, he was brought to the CMRI hospital in Kolkata. However, he was declared dead on arrival. According to reports, he suffered a heart attack on stage.

One of the most versatile singers of the Indian film industry, KK has recorded songs in several languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, and Bengali, among others.

KK is survived by his wife and children.

Kartik Aaryan refutes report of fee hike post Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 success – “Promotion hua hai, increment nahi”

Kartik Aaryan has been riding on cloud nine ever since Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 released as the actor has been creating various records ever since, from delivering the biggest opening weekend to crossing the Rs. 100 crore mark in just 9 days. Post the release of the film and the success, reports have been stating that the actor has hiked his fees. Now, refuting the same, the actor recently said that these rumours are untrue.

Taking to Twitter, the actor directly responded to a report that mentioned the fee hike. He said, “Promotion hua hai life mein/ Increment nahi ????/ Baseless.”

Recently, on being asked about such success of the film, Kartik shared, “During a time like this, having delivered a 100 crore collection within the first 9 days of release alone is the most surreal feeling as an actor. I knew the film would do well, but couldn’t have imagined it like this. I owe the success to the team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, who worked on it so passionately for 3 years, secondly, the makers who delivered their vision of this entertainer so phenomenally and most importantly, the ones who have been pouring it with so much love- the audience, as they have accepted us with their whole hearts.”

With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 now out, Kartik will next be seen in Shehzada, Captain India, Freddy and Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled next.

“What I have learnt in last 12 years, I learnt from Aamir Khan in 45 days” – Naga Chaitanya on Laal Singh Chaddha

Laal Singh Chaddha trailer featuring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya arrived on Sunday amidst huge fanfare IPL 2022 finale match. The film marks the first time Aamir and Chaitanya will be seen on screen together. The Telugu actor recently spoke about his experience of working with Aamir.

In an interview with Film Companion last year, Naga Chaitanya revealed, “One thing is for sure that, what I have learnt in last 12 years, I learnt from him in 45 days. He has taught me more than that. He’s got this amazing magic that he can rub off, influence people without even trying. He’s not doing that on purpose, it’s just the amount of knowledge he has, the human being that he is. He is such a lovely person.”

He also said, “At first, he is an actor, but he is in-tuned with craft as much as he with acting, and that’s amazing. He is always chasing content. He always talks about content first. He doesn’t talk about (box office) numbers or packaging. All that comes in the end, but as they’re filming, and till they finish filming, he is only chasing the content, and he’s been true to that.”

Previously, Chaitanya had mentioned that Aamir had personally called him for the role in Laal Singh Chaddha. Speaking with Deccan Chronicle, he said, “I got a call from Aamir Khan. After discussing the initial modalities of the script, I went to Mumbai for final discussions and was quickly on board. It was like magic! Aamir said he’d watched some of my performances and trailers of my film and was very impressed and that he felt I’d be apt for the role.”

Naga Chaitanya will play the role of an Army man, who becomes friends with Aamir Khan’s character Laal. After the release of Secret Superstar, Aamir Khan and Advait Chandan has reunited for Laal Singh Chaddha. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, the film is Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump. It arrives in theatres in August 2022.

Rapper Drake mourns the death of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala, shares an old picture of him and his mother

Popular Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who joined the Congress before the Punjab elections, was reportedly shot dead. The incident allegedly took place in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday, May 29. His untimely death has left the nation in shock with fans, netizens and political leaders demanding investigation in the murder of the rapper. Amidst this, celebrities, fans and everyone are mourning the loss of the popular singer and rapper. Popular Canadian rapper Drake also mourned the loss of the musician.

Rapper Drake took to his social media handle to offer condolences after the untimely death of Sidhu Moose Wala. He took to his Instagram Story to share a photo of Sidhu sitting next to his mother and wrote, “RIP Moose.” He also added a bird emoji. The rapper also followed the Indian musician on Instagram.

Sidhu Moose Wala shot to fame in 2017 with his track ‘So High’. He is regarded as one of the most popular independent rappers. He made several hits including ‘Legend’, ‘Devil’, ‘Just listen’, ‘Tibeyan da putt’, ‘Jatt da muqabala’, ‘Brown Boys’ and ‘Hathyar‘ among others. His last track was ‘The Last Ride’.

Nick Jonas on becoming a father – “I’m so grateful for Malti Marie and the wonderful perspective of being a parent”

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas became parents to a daughter earlier this year via surrogacy. Their newborn daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was brought home in May 2022 as the little one was in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for over 100 days. But, the new parents are very grateful that their child is home.

Talking about being first time parent and the responsibility, Nick Jonas spoke to Variety recently and said, “The weight of everything is much more intense. I think it’s now about trying to be as present as possible and as thoughtful as you can be for your family, but also for other people’s journeys. I’m so grateful for [Malti Marie] and the wonderful perspective of being a parent.”

Ina recent conversation on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Nick had also said, “It’s pretty wild. There she (Malti Jonas) is with a little heart face. She is the best. It has been a magical season of our lives. It is a blessing to have her home.”

On Mother’s Day, Priyanka Chopra wrote, “On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you.”

Meanwhile, Nick Jonas was recently a judge on latest season of The Voice.

After Dhaakad debacle, Kangana Ranaut begins prep for next directorial Emergency

Kangana Ranaut has faced another setback with the failure of Dhaakad at the box office. The film, which released in theatres on May 20, failed miserably and hardly any shows are playing. But, that doesn’t stop the actress as she has begun prep for her next project, Emergency. Donning director’s hat again after Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.

The actress posted several pictures on Monday from the recee day. In one of the photos, she wrote, “Rekee day one… don’t mess with me is my resting pose.”

In another photo, she wrote, “Of all the roles I play I am most comfortable in being a film maker. #Emergency.” She was dressed in white salwar kurta paired with green dupatta whilst being engrossed in conversation.

Kangana Ranaut had announced the project in June 2021. She wrote in a statement, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira.”

Ritesh Shah will be writing the project. He has films like Pink, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, Rocky Handsome to his credit. He has also penned Kangana’s film Dhaakad.
