“You have done me great wrong and ruined my reputation” – Aryan Khan breaks his silence on being arrested in drugs bust case

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son Aryan Khan was embroiled in a drug case in October last year post the Narcotics Control Bureau conducted a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Aryan was taken into custody on the night of October 2, 2021, along with a few others. He was kept under judicial custody for 28 days before he was let go on bail. In the month of May 2022, the NCB gave Aryan a clean chit in the cruise drug bust case due to lack of sufficient evidence. But, the 23-year-old did raise concerns about his reputation when no substance was found on him.

Aryan Khan has finally broken his silence over the arrest and what impact it has had on him. India Today Magazine unveiled a cover story titled Lessons From The Aryan Khan Case, by Raj Chengappa, Sanjay Singh, NCB’s deputy director-general (operations), who was heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT). In a conversation with Aryan Khan by Sanjay Singh, Aryan asked him, “Sir, you have painted me as an international drug trafficker, that I finance drug trafficking — aren’t these charges absurd? They did not find any drugs on my person that day and yet they arrested me. Sir, you have done me great wrong and ruined my reputation. Why did I have to spend so many weeks in jail — did I really deserve it?”

Sanjay Singh also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was also concerned about his son’s mental and emotional well-being and that his son was apparently not sleeping well. The actor reportedly said that he would himself go to Aryan Khan’s bedroom at nights to keep him company. Singh revealed that SRK was almost in tears when he asked, “We have been painted as some kind of big criminals or monsters who are out to destroy society and we find going to work tough every day.”

In March this year, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), had reportedly found that Aryan Khan was not a part of the larger conspiracy. It was reported that the SIT stated that there is “no evidence that Aryan Khan was part of a larger drugs conspiracy or an international drugs trafficking syndicate”.

According to the initial report in Hindustan Times, officials said, “Aryan Khan was never in possession of drugs hence there was no need to take his phone and check his chats; the chats do not suggest Khan was part of any international syndicate; the raid was not video-recorded as mandated by the NCB manual, and the drugs recovered from multiple accused arrested in the case shown as single recovery.”

Palak Tiwari to star in Salman Khan starrer Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali; to be paired opposite Jassie Gill

Salman Khan. in May 2022, kicked off the shoot for his next film. After releasing Antim – The Final Truth last year and wrapping up Tiger 3, the actor will be seen in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The film stars him alongside Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jagatpathi Babu and Shehnaaz Gill and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Now, the actor has brought another newcomer on board and it is none other than Shweta Tiwari’s daughter, Palak Tiwari. As per a report in a publication, Palak Tiwari has been cast opposite actor Jassie Gill in the film. She has a good track in the story and has joined the shoot already.

Recently, actors Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, and Raghav Juyal came on board to play Salman Khan’s three brothers in the film. The film has begun in Mumbai and following this, the shoot will be moved to Hyderabad.

Produced by Salman Khan Films, Salman Khan earlier roped in Devi Sri Prasad for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The music composer has been a rage in the South industry with back-to-back hits. The actor and composer previously collaborated on the ‘Dhinka Chika‘ song in the 2011 film, Ready. In 2020, Devi Sri Prasad composed the Hindi version of the ‘Seeti Maar’ song picturised on Salman Khan and Disha Patani in Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai. It’s become a norm now to bring multiple composers on board to create a hit album, Devi Sri Prasad will be one of them to bring some original tunes to life in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.

Furthermore, it was reported that Anal Arasu will be choreographing the action scenes; Brahmastra cinematographer V Manikanda is on board as well. Since the film is a cross-cultural love story, actors from North and South will be part of the cast including veteran actor Venkatesh.

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali will release on December 30, 2022, a few days after Salman Khan’s birthday and welcoming New Year.

Justin Bieber suffering from partial face paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt Syndrome – “Extremely frustrating, please pray for me”

Pop sensation Justin Bieber has urged his fans to pray for him since he is suffering from rare neurological disorder which is causing facial paralysis. Called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, the 28-year-old musician said that this is increasingly making his daily activities more difficult.

The ‘Peaches‘ singer, 28, revealed he’s started having trouble eating. “Been getting progressively harder to eat, which has been extremely frustrating, please pray for me,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories on Friday, adding a teary-eyed emoji.

He, then, took to his Instagram again to share a video explaining what his happening. “Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis,” he said.

“As you can see, this eye is not blinking,” he continued. “I can’t smile with this side of my face, this nostril will not move, so there is full paralysis in this side of my face.”

“This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case but obviously, my body is telling me I got to slow down and I hope you guys understand and I’ll be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so that I can do what I was born to do,” he continued.

Justin Bieber rescheduled three of his upcoming shows this week due to health concerns. He was set for two performances at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of his 2022 Justice World Tour  and one show at Washington D.C.’s Capital One Arena. “Can’t believe I’m saying this. I’ve done everything to get better but my sickness is getting worse,” he wrote in a post on his Instagram Story. “My heart breaks that I will have to postpone these next few shows (doctors orders).”

Justin Bieber is scheduled to perform in Delhi, India, in October 2022 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office: Film collects Rs. 21.40 cr in Week 3; ranks as fourth highest third week grosser of 2022

The Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani has been unstoppable at the box office since its release three weeks ago. After a good start, the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani produced film went on to see its business increase massively with each passing week. Now after its third week running, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed to hold strong despite new releases hitting screens.

In this box office report, we look at the third-week collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 21.40 cr in its third week, the Kartik Aaryan film has emerged as the fourth highest third week grosser of 2022. Preceded by previous releases like KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 49.14 cr, RRR which collected Rs. 38.20 cr and The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 30.95 cr the film does manage to surpass the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 16.25 cr.

Interestingly, when compared to only non-dubbed Hindi releases, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 ranks as the second-highest third-week grosser. Simultaneously, when compared to all-time releases, the Anees Bazmee directorial has managed to make it to the Top 20 list. Claiming the 20^th position, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has surpassed the Hrithik Roshan – Tiger Shroff starrer War which collected Rs. 21.35 cr, and the Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3 which collected Rs. 20.42 cr.

Going further, with no big-ticket Bollywood release this week, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 looks set to enjoy yet another money-spinning weekend. As per trade predictions, the film has managed to draw in Rs. 163.15 cr is likely to make it past the Rs. 175 cr mark by the end of its fourth weekend running.

On the work front, Anushka Sharma has kicked off a new schedule of her forthcoming film Chakda Xpress. Interestingly, the film will feature her in the role of a cricketer and is a biopic based on real life cricketer Jhulan Goswami. It is directed by Prosit Roy. A source close to the actress had spoken about the film was quoted saying earlier, “No stone will be unturned by the makers to make this into a spectacular and riveting movie. This is Anushka’s first film after she became a mother.
