BTS’ V, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik and Peakboy to feature in new variety show In the SOOP: Friendship Trip

It’s happening – the elite WOOGA Squad is reuniting! South Korean juggernaut BTS member V [Kim Taehyung] will embark on a friendship trip with his actor-musician friends Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik, and Peakboy in In The SOOP series. The show has earlier featured South Korean groups BTS and SEVENTEEN. The spin-off series, titled In the SOOP: Friendship Trip, will feature the musician along with his best friends.

In the SOOP: Friendship Trip will be a four-episode variety show showing the close friendship between the five celebrities who embark on a trip together. The series is set to premiere in July via the JTBC network and also on the global OTT platform.

For unversed, BTS’ V made his acting debut in the Korean historical drama Hwarang which was led by Park Seo Joon with Park Hyung Sik as the second lead. Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik worked together in the drama Fight For My Way and Shut Up Family. Peakboy is featured on V’s song ‘Snow Flower’ and all four of them featured in the music video ‘Gyopo Hair’. Last year, they even came together for Choi Woo Shik’s online fan meeting “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to celebrate his 10th debut anniversary. BTS’ V has crooned OST for Park Seo Joon’s drama Itaewon Class and Choi Woo Shik’s last series Our Beloved Summer.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Park Hyung Sik was recently seen in Soundtrack #1 with Han So Hee. Park Seo Joon recently wrapped the shoot for Dream with IU. He will also make his Marvel debut with The Marvels. Choi Woo Shik was last seen in Our Beloved Summer with Kim Da Mi. BTS’ V is currently promoting the group’s latest release Proof.

Brahmastra: Karan Johar unveils fierce character poster of Mouni Roy as Junoon who is leader of the Dark Forces

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and director Ayan Mukerji will be unveiling the much-awaited trailer of magnum opus Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva on June 15. Ahead of the trailer release, the makers have been unveiling character posters of the actors creating a lot of buzz around the upcoming fantasy sci-fi drama. Leading up to the trailer launch, the makers have been unveiling the character posters of the star cast. Now, Karan Johar has shared a motion poster of Mouni Roy.

On Tuesday, Karan tweeted, “कर ले सबको वश में अपने, अँधेरे की रानी है। ब्रह्मास्त्र को हासिल करना, यह जुनून ने ठानी है | Meet the leader of the Dark Forces… our Mysterious Queen of Darkness… Junoon! Watch out for Junoon in our Trailer tomorrow!”

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, and produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, the magnum opus will release theatrically on 9th September 2022 across 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada with a stellar ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

The film is presented by S. S. Rajamouli in all 4 South languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film releases in September 2022 with the trailer arriving on June 15.

Shakti Arora returns to television after 3 years; will replace Dheeraj Dhoopar to play an intriguing character with shades of grey in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya

Kundali Bhagya, with several interesting twists and turns in Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Preeta’s (Shraddha Arya) lives, has surely kept the audience at the edge of their seats over the past few months. However, it was Rishabh Luthra (Manit Joura) who took center stage as he returned to the Luthra mansion and exposed Sherlyn (Ruhi Chaturvedi) and Prithvi’s (Sanjay Gagnani) evil plans. He also revealed what he went through and what he discovered while being imprisoned in Dubai over the past few years. While the viewers have been glued to their TV screens for all the drama that unfolded following Rishabh’s explosive revelations, looks like an exciting new twist is going to leave them even more astounded as Kundali Bhagya takes a five-year leap. On 9th June, just on the brink of the leap, viewers will see Karan do something they had never imagined!

Post the five-year leap, we will see the introduction of a strong, pivotal character with shades of grey – Arjun. Played by popular star Shakti Arora, who is making a grand comeback to TV after a hiatus of 3 years, Arjun will enter Kundali Bhagya and create havoc in the lives of Preeta as well as the Luthras.

Talking about his entry, Shakti Arora mentions, ”I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of such a popular show on TV, a show that the public adores and appreciates so much. I have worked with Zee TV in the past as well, so it is like a homecoming for me. Having been away from TV for nearly 3 years, I am really eager to get started. I hope I can live up to the expectations and responsibilities that come with stepping into a show as popular as Kundali Bhagya. My character, Arjun, has some grey shades and he is someone who wants to create trouble for Preeta and the Luthras. Having said that, I feel he has a lot of layers that the viewers will understand as the story progresses, and I am sure the role will be a great challenge for me. It is the kind of role that I have not played till now, and I hope that my fans will enjoy watching me in this new avatar and character.”

Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor released on bail by Bengaluru Police for allegedly consuming drugs

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor was reportedly detained by the Bengaluru Police for allegedly consuming drugs at a party on Sunday night. Siddhant, who is the son of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, was among the people who was suspected to have consumed drugs. Now, the actor has been released on bail along with the four other people.

According to ANI, Bheema Shankar Gulled, Deputy Commissioner of Police for East Bengaluru, said, “Siddhanth Kapoor’s medical shows he had consumed drugs. We have already arrested him and are following the procedure. We will be sending him to judicial custody.” Siddhanth Kapoor and the four others will have to appear before the police as and when called.

The raid took place on Sunday night after a tip-off. “Last night we got info that a party is going on and they have consumed drugs. We raided and detained 35 people. We didn’t find any drugs on their person but found MDMA and ganja disposed of nearby. We will investigate CCTV to check who disposed it of,” added DCP Guled.

According to a report in India Today, the Bengaluru Police acted on a tip-off and reportedly raided a hotel on MG Road where the party was taking place. The police suspected a few people and the samples were sent for testing. Siddhanth Kapoor’s sample tested positive.

Hosted by Rohit Shetty, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 features celebrity contestants from the television, OTT, and social media industries. While the celebrities often shared posts of them bonding together with each other, in a recent post, we saw some of them exuding vibes from the cult Hollywood series Baywatch.

With slow-motion videos of them running along the beach amidst the waves and bikini clad models, their posts will remind fans of Baywatch which trended earlier in the day for the same reason. For the uninitiated, the shoot schedule of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 kicked off earlier this month with Rohit Shetty as the anchor. The adventure reality show also features Shivangi Joshi, Srithi Jha, Nishant Bhatt, Mohit Malik, Rajiv Adatia, Rubina Dilaik, among others. The show will premiere on Colors TV in the next few weeks.

After Selfie, Akshay Kumar signs another Karan Johar film; to play a lawyer from pre-independence era in C Sankaran Biopic

Akshay Kumar is unstoppable, and he continues to be the actor with maximum films in his kitty. According to our sources, just a week ago, Akshay Kumar has zeroed in on another film with Karan Johar’s banner, Dharma Productions. The actor has come on board the biopic of lawyer, C Sankaran, which is expected to go on floors early next year.

“Akshay had been the first choice for the film ever since the announcement was made, but he had not done the paperwork back in the day. But all the formalities are now closed, and Akshay is officially a part of this film, set against the backdrop of the Jallianwallah Baug massacre. He will be seen as a lawyer from the pre-independence era,” revealed a source to Bollywood Hungama.

The Khiladi is very excited about the film, and being a Punjabi, this is an incident he believes must reach the national audience. It will be helmed by Karan Tyagi. “The makers have locked Ananya Panday as the female lead. Before one tries to spin in another controversy around age gap, the two are not romantically paired in the film. In-fact, it’s the role of a mentor and protegee for Akshay and Ananya,” the source explained.

The movie is based on the novel ‘The case that shook the Empire” and will showcase C Sankaran’s fight against the British Raj to ensure that a gruesome massacre like Jallianwallah Baug is never repeated. This would be Akshay’s fourth film with Dharma after Kesari, Good Newz and Selfie.

Radhika Apte reveals she was pressured to get plastic surgeries in her career – “I was told to get a boob job”

Radhika Apte is currently promoting her upcoming movie Forensic which will arrive straight on ZEE5. The psychological stars Vikrant Massey as Johnny Khanna, a forensic officer and Radhika Apte as Megha Sharma, a police officer. Forensic is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. While promoting the film, the actress spoke about her career in the film industry and how she would be pressurized to get plastic surgery.

In an interview with Film Companion, Radhika Apte revealed how she was suggested to get plastic surgeries early on in her career. She said, “I had that pressure before. When I was new, I was told to do lots of jobs on my body and face. First meeting I had, I was told to change my nose. Second meeting I had I was told to get a boob job. Then that continued, then I was told to do something to my legs, then something to my jaw, and something to refill somewhere here (points to her cheeks) then botox. Like, it took me 30 years to color my hair. I’m not going to get even an injection. It just put me off. I never felt pressurised by it. In fact, I felt angrier and in fact all of that helped me actually love my body even more because I was like ‘I love my body’.”

“I’m just a bit sick and tired of people constantly doing that and which is why it doesn’t affect me. I mean it affects me, but it doesn’t affect me in the way that I would like to do it ever,” she added.
