BTS to hold global concert to bring the World Expo 2030 to Busan

Pop titans BTS, the newly appointed ambassadors for Busan’s World Expo 2030 bid, announced that the group would hold the Global Busan Concert to support the nation’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan Metropolitan City.

HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk and CEO Park Jiwon, and Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City Park Heong-joon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) this morning at the Busan Metropolitan City Hall to promote Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030. As part of the agreement, BTS as ambassadors will hold the Global Busan Concert in efforts to bring the World Expo 2030 to Busan.

The memorandum covers joint initiatives for Busan to succeed in its bid as the host. It includes BTS to: Act as the ambassadors;Hold Global Concert in Busan, activities to appeal to the members of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE); Personally introduce the proposed site for the BIE Enquiry Missions; Serve as the ambassadors at South Korea’s presentation session; Be present on the election day to support the bid; Provide photos and videos for the city’s digital campaigns, and; Spread promotional videos via official social media channels, and more.

Chairman Bang said, “Given the importance of its bid as a nation to host the World Expo 2030 in Busan, BTS and HYBE will do our best to successfully bring the World Expo to Busan. This will be a great opportunity to contribute to further development of K-Culture as well as its local pop cultures in Busan.”

Mayor Park said, “I’d like to express my sincere appreciation to the members of BTS and HYBE for accepting to be the ambassadors of the World Expo 2030 in Busan. The group’s support as ambassadors will be incredibly helpful in stepping up our efforts to bring the World Expo to Busan.”

Arjun Kapoor leaves for Paris with Malaika Arora to celebrate his birthday

Arjun Kapoor is on a roll professionally and personally. On the work front, Arjun has an interesting mix of films this year that will see him straddle many genres. He will be seen in Mohit Suri’s much anticipated Ek Villain Returns, Aasman Bhardwaj’s Kuttey, and Ajay Bahl’s The Ladykiller.

Arjun had revealed that he has been battling obesity since his childhood and it’s been a constant struggle for him to keep his eyes on the prize. The actor, who has been working non-stop on back-to-back film projects without taking any break, will celebrate his birthday in Paris with his girlfriend Malaika Arora. A source close to the actor reveals, “Arjun hasn’t had any time off recently. He has shot for his films back to back and his fitness journey too hasn’t allowed him any elbow room to let his hair down. Arjun will get into heavy promotions for Ek Villain Returns but before that he wants to spend a quiet birthday. He has flown to Paris with Malaika and the two will spend a week together in the most romantic city in the world.”

The source adds, “Arjun knows that he won’t be able to take a break for many months because between his new film shoots, brand commitments, to other endorsement opportunities, he won’t get any breather. There are several new exciting films that have also come his way and he will choose some really cool projects soon. So, he is currently in one of the most exciting phases of his career and he is relishing it. He just wanted to go away from the prying eyes and relax and refocus on the task at hand when he comes back to town.”

Sara Ali Khan has been running a busy schedule these days. Be it her brand shoots, film shoots, or other commitments the actress is putting her all the efforts to make it possible.

Recently she took to her social media and shared a short video containing her Thursday 20-hour-long Mumbai Layover schedule. The actress brought glimpses of her IIFA rehearsals to visuals from Karan Johar’s birthday bash while she captured all the activities she had done till she further boarded her flight to Istanbul. She further added the caption. ‘Throwback Thursday! Can’t believe I did all this in 20 hours- especially since all I’ve done today is written this caption. Hectic is fun but rest is great too #tbt.”

Laal Singh Chaddha star Aamir Khan says there’s no such thing as old-fashioned songs ahead of ‘Phir Na Aise Raat Aayegi’ release

It was only a few days ago when the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha dropped the first look of their forthcoming song ‘Phir Na Aise Raat Aayegi’ featuring the relationship of Rupa and Laal starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

On Wednesday, the makers took to their social media and shared a clip of Aamir Khan advising Pritam about their to-be-released song ‘Phir Na Aise Raat Aayegi’. In the video, we can spot Aamir Khan sharing his words of wisdom to the anxious Pritam. Aamir, who can be spotted in the bearded look, says, “I think you are scared that this is old-fashioned music since you have mentioned it a few times. Forget all your worries. There is nothing called old-fashioned or new-fashioned. There is only good and bad music. Be honest about what is required at that moment”.

In the caption, Aamir Khan’s team writes “We couldn’t agree more! When you’re honest to the tune, the magic happens #PhirNaAisiRaatAayegi #LaalSinghChaddha”.

It’s safe to say that Aamir is about to release some old-fashioned romantic song on 24th June, 11 Pm. The last two songs from the Laal Singh Chaddha – ‘Kahani’ and ‘Mein Ki Karaan?’ has touched the core of the music fans. The makers of the film have released both the songs without a music video, putting singers, musicians, technicians, and lyricists in the spotlight.

Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni.

JugJugg Jeeyo Box Office Prediction: Varun Dhawan – Kiara Advani starrer set to open well in double digits between Rs. 15 – 20 cr

Finally, there is a film arriving in theatres which is actually carrying the kind of vibes that promises a good opening at the box office. After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, JugJugg Jeeyo is the first family entertainer to be hitting the screens, and it actually has a wholesome appeal to it. The vibes are solid that this one will reach out to one and all, and that’s what makes one confident around the opening that it is set to get.

The cast of the film Is just right as well. While Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani cater to the younger segment of the audiences, veterans Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor make the film further reachable to a couple of generations before that as well. Moreover, director Raj Mehta has already proved his mettle with another family entertainer with a huge cast, Good Newwz, and with JugJug Jeeyo he seems to have made an even more accessible film.

Karan Johar has left no stones unturned to make this a true summer entertainer and there has been no stone left unturned when it comes to the marketing and promotion. In fact had this been a pre-pandemic release then an opening day number of Rs. 15-20 crores was guaranteed. However these are different times and hence one has to be a bit conservative when it comes to predicting first day numbers. By the look of things, a double digit score is on the cards and as long as Rs. 10 crores come in on Friday, it would be game on.

‘Shah Rukh Khan arrived late, but apologised for the delay’: Crew member has fanboy moment as he recalls working with SRK for an ad shoot

Shah Rukh Khan often leaves an unforgettable impression on people. His stardom and his charisma are unmatched. One such recent incident has left the fans in ‘awe’. Cinematographer Lawrence D’Cunha, who recently worked with Shah Rukh Khan on an ad film, revealed how humble SRK was to work with.

Sharing a picture with Shah Rukh Khan, Lawrence wrote in the caption, “Shah Rukh Khan. My first ad film shoot with King Khan!!! Although he shot throughout the night for his upcoming movie, he came slightly behind schedule but sweetly apologised for the delay.”

He added, “He was very respectful, thoroughly professional, yet joking and making people laugh on the set. We didn’t have a stand in for him, so he sat on the mark and asked me if I could continue with my lighting while he was rehearsing his lines. His acknowledgement towards his technicians and crew overwhelmed me, that he addressed each one by their names. There was no dull moment with him on the set. When the shoot was finally done, he shook hands with everyone. He stayed till the very end and even clicked pictures with all of us. Such a gentleman!!!”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently in Hyderabad shooting for Atlee’s Jawan. The film stars Nayanthara in the lead role. The actor has wrapped the first schedule of Dunki, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. The actor will make his big-screen return during Republic Day 2023 with Pathaan starring alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Ms. Marvel: Iman Vellani, Matt Linz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Saagar Shaikh groove to ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ during wedding scene, watch video

Ms. Marvel is taking over the internet by storm with each episode focusing on Kamala Khan understanding her cosmic superpowers. Being Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first Muslim-Pakistani superhero, the South Asian elements in the series is very evident.  Episode 3 of the series invites viewers to Aamir Khan and Tyesha Hillman’s wedding where one sees delicious food, family moments, and a whole dance number. And the song is the title track from 2009 Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukerji’s film Dil Bole Hadippa.

In the video, Iman Vellani, who plays the titular role, is joined by Matt Linz (Bruno), and Yasmeen Fletcher, who plays Kamala’s best friend Nakia, for the dance performance. The episode also featured songs including ‘Joote De Do Paise Le Lo’ by Lata Mangeshkar and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam from Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun to ‘Mehendi Rachnewali‘ by Sidhant Kapoor.

Indian actor Mohan Kapoor, who plays Yusuf Khan, talked to Marvel about the sangeet dance sequence in the series. “It was the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” he explained. “I come from the land of Bollywood. I’m a part of Bollywood. But in my 30-year career, I have never done a Bollywood dance. I love it, I respect it…but I’ve never danced.”

Saagar Shaikh, who plays Aamir, added, “It’s so typical in a Pakistani wedding that the bride doesn’t know that the groom is about to come up and dance. She should always know because it happens every time! At every wedding! But for some reason, it’s always a major surprise. That’s exactly what we did in the show where Tyesha didn’t know that Aamir was going to get up and do his dance. It was so fun. Everybody was just having so much fun.”

Created by Bisha K. Ali, the Disney+ miniseries will introduce us to Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American from Jersey City fascinated by the Avengers, who looks up to Captain Marvel in particular, as she becomes imbued with shape-shifting powers.

As created by G. Willow Wilson, Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, and Adrian Alphona in the comics, Kamala has a relatively unique set of superpowers. While Kamala Khan’s powers in the comics consist of stretching, shrinking and growing, the trailer shows the new hero shooting purple cosmic energy beams, forming shields, manifesting a giant fist in a nod to her comic book counterpart and the kind of midair stepping stones previously seen in Doctor Strange films.

The actor-musician will be a part of the series which introduces Iman Vellani and also includes names like Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Fawad Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.
