The much talked about and keenly anticipated Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera finally released yesterday. Directed by Karan Malhotra the film, which not only features Ranbir in a double role but also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, has been making headlines in the run upto its release. But will the hype and promotions assist the film at the box office is the question.

Released across 1200 screens internationally, the Yash Raj Films production Shamshera seems to have managed to hold its own. In this report, we look at the opening day business of Shamshera in the overseas markets.

Music video for Aamir Khan starrer ‘Tur Kalleyan’ from Laal Singh Chaddha to drop on July 25, 2022

After releasing the first music video for the song ‘Kahani’ from the film Laal Singh Chaddha, the makers are all set to drop the music video of the song ‘Tur Kalleyan’ starring Aamir Khan on 25th July 2022. This music video is one of the longest shot sequences from the film. This video taps into the most picturesque locations of India.

Sung by Arijit Singh, Shadab Faridi, and Altamash Faridi, composed by Pritam and lyrics by  Amitabh Bhattacharya, the audio version of the song was loved nationwide. ‘Tur Kalleyan’ plays a pivotal role in the journey of Laal Singh Chaddha. The song reflects on Laal’s transformational journey to self-love and finding himself .

Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni. It is an official remake of Forrest Gump. The film will be released on 11 August.

Goodbye starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna to release on October 7, 2022

GoodBye is all set for worldwide release on 7th October, 2022. Touted as a celebration of life, this Vikas Bahl directorial, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Pavail Gulati and marks the Bollywood debut of Rashmika Mandanna.

The announcement for the release was made on Saturday. The film also stars Elli AvrRam, Sunil Grover, Sahil Mehta in pivotal roles.

Produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co. ; Goodbye is a heartwarming story about life, family & relationships. The film will take the audiences on a roller-coaster of emotions filled with laughter, warmth & tears.

Priyanka Chopra recently celebrated her 40th birthday on July 18, which was her first one with daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas and it seems like the actress had a blast this year! The actress was joined by her husband, American popstar Nick Jonas, mother Madhu Chopra and cousin Parineeti Chopra as well. Her manager and her best friends were also part of her Mexico trip.

Priyanka Chopra shared series of pictures on social media and wrote, “Just a girl and her birthday squad! So grateful and thankful to be surrounded by so much love and to be able to spend time with my nearest and dearest. (Even though a lot of them flew in from very far).”

“The most incredible celebrations, planned and executed to perfection by my love @nickjonas. Words are not enough to thank you for the most memorable birthday… you really know how to love baby. I’m a lucky girl,” she added.

BREAKING: CBFC targets Disha Patani’s HOT intimate scene on the butchering table; awards Ek Villain Returns U/A certificate

The much-awaited film Shamshera was released on Friday, July 22. Sadly, its opening has been below expectations. Moreover, the word of mouth has not been very positive and as a result, the film will face a tough time at the box office. All eyes are therefore on next week’s release, Ek Villain Returns. There are several hopes from Mohit Suri’s directorial venture though several expectations were riding on Shamshera as well. Nevertheless, the young crowd might turn up in hordes as the film seems to have a great combo of sex and violence.

Many expected Ek Villain Returns to get an adults-only rating, especially due to Disha Patani’s hot scenes. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the film with a U/A certificate. The makers however had to make two modifications, one of which is with regards to the dialogues and the other with regards to the visuals.

The CBFC’s examining committee asked for certain terms like ‘Mental’, ‘Kuttiya’, ‘B*tch’, ‘Kamina’ and ‘Harami’ to be removed or replaced with acceptable terms. Secondly, the makers were asked to delete or modify suitably the visuals of killing by a saw blade, visuals of blood and flesh and prominent visuals of mutilated body parts. Even the visuals of intimacy on the butchering table, featuring Disha Patani, that was prominently shown in the trailer, have been either cut or reduced. On the brighter side, only 9 seconds of visuals have been chopped by the Censor board.

After these changes were made, the CBFC handed over the censor certificate yesterday, on July 22. The duration of the film, as mentioned in the censor certificate, is 128.54 minutes. In other words, Ek Villain Returns is 2 hours 8 minutes and 54 seconds long. Interestingly, the first part, Ek Villain (2014), which was also directed by Mohit Suri, also had more or less a similar runtime, of 129 minutes.

Besides Disha Patani, Ek Villain Returns also stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. It will be released in cinemas on July 29.
