Dulquer Salmaan reveals he wants to direct a film; says, “It will be different from the imagination of the audience.”
Dulquer Salmaan is all set to take his image as a romantic actor a notch higher with the love saga Sita Ramam. The film bringing together, the OK Kanmani actor with Mrunal Thakur, will see them fall in love amidst the backdrop of war. The period drama that spans from the 60s to the 80s is already gaining a lot of attention for its music and unique storyline with Rashmika Mandanna playing a different role too. During a recent press conference, he addressed on several topics whilst talking about the film. One amongst it was his plans for direction.
With many of his contemporaries entering the world of direction along with acting, Dulquer Salmaan was asked about his direction plans. The actor said, “I am planning to do but now there is no time. If a film comes from my direction, it will be different from the imagination of the audience.”
Furthermore the actor also spoke about taking a break from romantic films adding that he would like to do more mature roles. “I think I should give them a break. I am getting older day by day. I have to do different mature roles. I prefer to make points that are fresh and original,” asserted the star.
On the other hand, the actor also spoke about his next Sita Ramam. Speaking about what inspired him to take up the film, he shared, “Sita Ramam is a really original story. Really classic film and very rare. No such story has come anywhere in the world. I liked the screenplay very much. It will be beyond our imagination. What we saw in the trailer is very less, you have to experience it on the big screen.”
Featuring an ensemble cast from different industries like Tamil, Telugu, and even Bengali, Sita Ramam, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, will release on August 5. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

The show known for taking viewers a step closer to the unseen lives of celebrities, saw Aamir Khan, who recently separated from his ex-wife, Kiran Rao. He was previously also married to Reena Dutta.
Aamir Khan opened up about the wholesome nature of his family. The star candidly shares how in a relationship of love and respect, there can be no ‘acrimonious moment’. “I have the highest regard and respect for both of them. Hum log hamesha parivaar he rahenge.”
He also revealed how the conventions of rocky relationships with exes never bothered him. “We all get together once a week, no matter how busy we are. There is a lot of genuine care, love and respect towards each other,” he said.
Aamir Khan has two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, from his first marriage to Reena Dutta. With Kiran Rao, he has a son Azad Rao Khan.

Alia Bhatt is the latest celebrity to weigh in on the ongoing debate of north vs south cinema. Over the past few months, south films have done exceptionally well while Hindi films are facing trouble when it comes to box office. But, the actress says regardless of the language, if the film’s content is good, it will be appreciated by the audience.
Alia Bhatt, whose last film Gangubai Kathiawadi worked well at the box office, spoke to Indian Express and said, “It’s a tough year for Indian cinema. We should be a little kind to Hindi films. Today, we are sitting here and saying, ‘Oh Bollywood, oh Hindi cinema…’. But are we counting the films that have done well this year? Even in the south industry, all their films have not worked. Some of the films have worked, and they are very good films. But similarly over here, starting with my film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, have worked and done very well.” The actress admitted that the film industry is recovering from the losses faced during the pandemic but added, “A good film will always do well.”
“The lens today is hard on cinema in general because we are coming post-pandemic. The theaters were shut for almost two years, so there is sort of assessment, ‘What are the films that are going to work in the theaters?’, ‘What are the films which are working in general?’. Good content will always do well, but now we are re-assessing what are the films that we are going to put into a theatre, what are the films that will release directly on an OTT platform, and what is the general consumer habit? So, we are just understanding that. But, it doesn’t mean that Hindi cinema is over. This ain’t happening,” Alia said at Express Adda.
Alia Bhatt is busy promoting Darlings. The film is all set to premiere on 5th August 2022 on Netflix. The film marks the debut of Alia Bhatt as a co-producer. Darlings is produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma and marks the feature film debut for director Jasmeet K Reen. With a versatile cast including Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in lead roles, Darlings is a dark comedy entertainer brimming with secrets, mystery, and drama. The film delves into the lives of a resilient mother-daughter, fighting for love and finding their footing in Mumbai whilst also battling their demons.

Jackky Bhagnani recently collaborated with girlfriend Rakul Preet Singh for a peppy dance number titled ‘Mashooka’. The sexy number garnered ample attention on social media and its hook step became a favourite among Instagram reel lovers. Now recently giving a shoutout to his Sardar Ka Grandson co-star Rakul Preet Singh was Arjun Kapoor. The Ek Villain Returns, who continues with his promotions for his recent release posted a video featuring the song as his background on social media.
Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to share a video of him getting his hair done in his vanity van as the song ‘Mashooka’ plays in the background of it. He posted it on his story saying, ‘@rakulpreet lo ban raha hoon main ek mashook @jackkybhagnani @tanishk_bagchi” The actor also tagged the producer of the video along with the musician Tanishk Bagchi.

Needless to say, his video received a reaction from the ‘Mashooka’ as well as her real life ‘Mashook’. Rakul Preet Singh reposed the video on her Instagram story saying, “Waah the best mashook” after which she also dropped some hugs and heart emoji. On the other hand, her boyfriend Jackky Bhagnani also expressed his gratitude to Arjun for making the reel. He said, “Ha ha ha So sweet… thank you brother”
Speaking of the track, ‘Mashooka’ is Jjust Music’s first Pan India single. Besides, the Hindi version, the song also released in Tamil and Telugu versions. It was presented by South star Allu Arjun.
