Karan Johar ropes in Arjun Bijlani, Shraddha Arya, Sriti Jha and Arjit Taneja for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

It was only a few days ago, Karan Johar wrapped up the shoot for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan. Now, the filmmaker has roped in four actors from television industry, Arjun Bijlani, Shraddha Arya, Sriti Jha and Arjit Taneja.

Following the shoot with Arjun and Shraddha, Sriti and Arjit shot with the filmmaker. Arjit took to social media to share the news and wrote on Instagram, “Can’t help but Flaunt this. Just 14 hours of being directed by this Legend. It has been an overwhelming and humbling experience to say the least. Thank you @karanjohar @dharmamovies for making us a small part of this blockbuster in the making and to the whole team for being so generous. All the very best to all of you ???? ???? #Gratitude.”

The note from Karan read, “Dearest Arjit, Thank you for being a part of my film. Welcome again to the Dharma family. All my love, Karan.”

Arjun Bijlani is popular face on Television and has worked on several shows. He was most recently hosting a show on Star Plus. Sriti Jha, who was most recently seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, was the lead actress of Ekta Kapoor’s show Kumkum Bhagya. Arjit Taneja also got popular on TV due to Kumkum Bhagya. Shraddha Arya is the lead actress of TV show, Kundali Bhagya.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani marks Karan Johar’s return as a director after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. As of now, the film has been postponed and will release in 2023. It was earlier scheduled for February 10, 2023 release.

Koffee With Karan 7: Aamir Khan says Kareena Kapoor Khan is always ‘scolding’ him; reveals she has not watched Laal Singh Chaddha yet: ‘She’s so proud about it’

Koffee With Karan Season 7 ‘s fifth episode saw Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan take the couch. The two stars, who had previously worked together in Talaash and 3 Idiots, reunited for their third project. During the conversation, Karan Johar spoke about how Kareena Kapoor Khan is a ‘bonafide movie star on your own terms’ and couldn’t care less about the box office figures.

Responding to KJo, Aamir said, “Kareena is very concerned about her films. Ever since we spoke, she’s been talking to me about how this or that was done. There’s not enough publicity. Whenever she meets me, she is shouting at me. She has been scolding me since two months. I swear she scolds me for something or the other.”

Aamir further quipped and took a jibe at Kareena for not having watched Laal Singh Chaddha till now. “Don’t be happy that you have not watched your own movies. She’s so proud about it. It’ll be heartbreaking if she doesn’t see the film,” Aamir added.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are gearing up for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha releasing on August 11, 2022.

Koffee With Karan 7: Aamir Khan admits being worried about Laal Singh Chaddha amid the streak of failures of Hindi films at box office: ‘Agar film logon ko pasand nahin aayi, bahut dil toot jaayega’

Koffee With Karan Season 7 ‘s fifth episode saw Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan take the couch. They touched upon several topics including Hindi film industry’s latest streak at the box office and how poorly some of the movies have performed. During the conversation, Karan Johar asked Aamir Khan about his upcoming film and whether he is stressed about the results, the actor admitted he is.

Karan Johar asked him, “Are you stressed?” to which Aamir replied, “Of course I am stressed, kaise sawaal pooch raha hai yaar (What kind of questions are you asking?).” Kareena was surprised hearing Aamir’s response and said, “Are you? But you’re very confident?” He said, “We are excited that we have made a good film, lekin agar film logon ko pasand nahin aayi, bahut dil toot jaayega (If people don’t like it, we will be heartbroken).”

Karan Johar then talked about the underperformance of Hindi films at the box office and asked Aamir whether there has been shift in the audience’s way of consuming content. Karan also joked how Aamir s responsible for these coming-of-age films like Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, Rang De Basanti and Taare Zameen Par, which also changed the mindset of the audience. Aamir said, “No, no your’e wrong, these are the films of heartland, that have emotion and people connect with them. Taare Zameen Par–every house has a child–Rang De Basanti is an emotional film, it connects at the grassroots. I am not saying make action films, but acchi films banao, take topics that are relevant for people. Not saying we’re doing anything wrong, and every filmmaker has the freedom, but when you pick something that the bulk of India isn’t interested in, you’re starting with something niche.”

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha releasing on August 11, 2022.

Koffee With Karan 7: Aamir Khan regrets not spending much time with Junaid Khan and Ira in early years: ‘I did not nurture my relationships like my work’

Koffee With Karan Season 7 ‘s fifth episode saw Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan take the couch. Rife with inside jokes, roasts and secrets from the lives of the charismatic stars, the episode unveiled why the duo are bonafide movie stars. The show known for taking viewers a step closer to the unseen lives of celebrities, saw Aamir Khan, who recently separated from his ex-wife, Kiran Rao. He was previously also married to Reena Dutta. The actor opened up about not able to spend enough time with his kids Junaid Khan and Ira Khan in early years.

Aamir said, “A year ago, I went through a lot of introspection. I felt I did not nurture my relationships like my work. I realised that I’ve not spent so much time with Ira and Junaid since they were children.”

He added, “Now, in the last months, I’m a changed person. I connect more with my family, my children, Kiran’s parents, Reena’s parents, my mother, sister and brother. I would have liked to spend much more time with them at the cost of my work. But at that time, I was just so passionately following what I was doing.”

Aamir Khan opened up about the wholesome nature of his family. The star candidly shares how in a relationship of love and respect, there can be no ‘acrimonious moment’. “I have the highest regard and respect for both of them. Hum log hamesha parivaar he rahenge.”

He also revealed how the conventions of rocky relationships with exes never bothered him. “We all get together once a week, no matter how busy we are. There is a lot of genuine care, love and respect towards each other,” he said.

Aamir Khan has two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, from his first marriage to Reena Dutta. With Kiran Rao, he has a son Azad Rao Khan.
