Mommy-to-be Sonam will be seen entering Karan’s set with her cousin for the first time. Arjun Kapoor has appeared on the much popular chat show, notably in an episode in 2014 when Sonam had appeared with her sister Rhea.
Karan Johar perhaps wanted a variety in the guests not repeating appearance of the two sisters (Rhea and Sonam), so he invited Sonam’s cousin Arjun for the Raksha Bandhan special.
Karan Johar confirmed the Sonam-Arjun appearance on his show.

It stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Taking to Instagram on Friday, the filmmaker penned a note for his lead actor and praised him.
Sharing a monochrome photo of the actor, Karan began his note by writing, “So…. There is no occasion… no marketing agenda … no launch coming up! Nothing! This is just a feeling I have which I feel like sharing with everyone! I have grown to love Ranveer Singh! The man! The person! The Ball of love that he is! His ability to make everyone he meets feel so special… the love that he exudes and that consumes his being and his entire aura… his passion to express every little gesture of love ….”
He continued, “Over the period of my film I have observed him closely and at a distance as to what a solid guy he is! Yes he has his idiosyncrasies as an artist but that’s what we see translate so beautifully on celluloid! So he’s allowed! The actress celebrated her special day at his work place with her colleagues that are on the sets of her forthcoming film Shehzada. When she was recently asked by Bollywood Hungama about what birthday means to her, the actress’ response left everyone surprised. She revealed that they are quite overrated and that it doesn’t have to be a big thing.
Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Kriti Sanon said, “I love myself but I think birthdays are overrated. I feel it is a little added pressure of making that day special. And it comes with a lot of expectations. The whole need of doing something on your birthday, I think all of that is very overrated.” She went on to add, “You will get calls where people will be like – what’s the plan? And sometimes you don’t have a plan. So, you’re like, I don’t know. But then you suddenly start feeling like, am I supposed to have a plan? Then there is this feeling that my birthday is gone and it feels like I’ve not done anything.”
Although, Kriti was like any other kid and was excited for her birthday during her childhood days. “I think, as a kid, maybe I used to be excited about my birthday. I used to love surprises. So I love it when someone is planning the surprise, but I don’t want to be planning anything. I don’t want to take the stress of planning anything on my birthday,” she concluded.
