Aamir Khan is all set to return to the silver screen after three-and-a-half year-long break with his film Laal Singh Chaddha. A special screening of the film was held on Wednesday, ahead of its theatrical release on August 11. The special screening was attended by Kareena, Saif Ali Khan, Naga Chaitanya, Kiran Rao, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan. Among others, Deepika and Ranveer made a stylish entry at the star-studded event. They were also joined by Ranveer’s family.

Deepika and Ranveer came at the celebrity-studded event wearing monochromatic outfits and exuded power couple charm with their sharp suits. Deepika was spotted wearing a pastel green pantsuit, and she appeared to be quite the boss chick. A jacket with notch lapel collars, padded shoulders, a plunging neckline, folded full-length sleeves, and an oversized silhouette is part of the star’s outfit. She layered her blazer over a white lace bralette. In the end, Deepika went for a matching pair of pastel green straight-leg trousers, pointed white high heels, Louis Vuitton shoulder bag, and watch with a metallic strap, bracelet with a stylish aesthetic, diamond rings, and tiny ear studs. The outfit Deepika is wearing is from Gauge 81 and costs Rs. 78,729.

Ranveer chose a black shirt and pant set to compliment his wife in his very offbeat fashion. He selected a shirt with a collar, a high-low hemline, long sleeves, and a button-up front. His outfit for the event included skinny-fit black jeans, tinted sunglasses, black dress shoes, diamond ear studs, a well-groomed beard, and a backswept hairstyle.

Laal Singh Chaddha, the forthcoming movie starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is scheduled to hit theatres on August 11. The iconic Hollywood film The Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks, has an official Hindi version in the form of Laal Singh Chaddha.

Naga Chaitanya reveals ‘morse code tattoo’ of his wedding date with Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Naga Chaitanya is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. However, during the promotions of the same, amidst the discussion of his professional life and his future Bollywood aspirations, the actor’s personal life also came into light, especially after the appearance of Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Koffee With Karan 7. In a recent interview when he was asked about his tattoo, he revealed that it is the morse code tattoo of his wedding date with Samantha.

Naga Chaitanya recently revealed details of his tattoo during an interaction with Bollywood Bubble. While recalling a crazy fan interaction, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor said, “I met a few fans who’ve tattooed like my name and all that and they’ve imitated this tattoo (gesturing to his forearm). This is not something you would want to imitate. It’s the day I got married. So I won’t want the fans to put that.” Now that the couple has separated, will the actor be removing it? But putting rest to all these rumours, Chaitanya responded, ““No, I haven’t thought about it, it’s fine.” Interestingly Samantha Ruth Prabhu has the same tattoo on her wrist too.

For the uninitiated, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu who met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave, fell in love and tied the knot in October 2017 in Goa, after being together for a few years. While the couple also had their own set of fans who adored the social media love of ChaySam, soon their marriage fell apart and the couple got separated in 2021.

Speaking about Laal Singh Chaddha, the film is an official remake of Tom Hanks’ Oscar winning film Forrest Gump. Directed by Advait Chandan, the Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer will release on August 11.

Manushi Chillar was the first choice for Laal Singh Chaddha; here’s why she lost out

Were it not for Samrat Prithviraj, former beauty queen Manushi Chillar would have made her debut with Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha. Whether that would have been a better prospect remains to be seen.

Sources say, Manushi was Aamir’s first choice to play his wife in Laal Singh Chaddha. But Manushi had already signed a contract with Yash Raj Films. At that point of time being launched in a big epic Yash Raj Film seemed like a dream start for any newcomer. Without much ado she declined the offer.

There were apparently quite a number of promising offers for Ms Chillar before Samrat Prithviraj released.

Now after the debacle of Samrat Prithviraj the offers have dwindled considerably. Her only new project is a film titled Tehran with John Abraham being directed by debutant Arun Gopalan.

Koffee With Karan 7: Arjun Kapoor reveals the reason behind his physical transformation; says, “I am very passionate about cinema. I take my work very seriously”

Koffee With Karan season 7 has us hooked, despite the shift in timing, the Karan Johar-hosted chat show has continued to remain a much-loved show. After featuring a host of celebrities the latest episode of the show features cousins Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. Intestinally, the two will be seen together for the first time, in the past, Sonam featured with Deepika Padukone on the show while Arjun has made several appearances. Talking about the new episode, the show sees both Sonam and Arjun revealing some interesting facts about each other. One such moment was Arjun Kapoor opening up about his physical transformation.

During the show, speaking about Arjun’s physical transformation, Karan showed him some comments on social media and then a set of his photographs depicting the before and after the change, while saying, “I think it’s amazing that you did this firstly, it is fantastic. What was your thought, or was it just you putting yourself out there, having a feeling of abandonment?” Responding to the query Arjun replied, “It’s amazing that you can have reactions that are so varied in the way they are going about. Whether it is to do with my personal life, but it was more to do with the fact that I really, really care about my work, Karan. I really do. I am very passionate about cinema. I take my work very seriously. Somewhere down the line, when I made my debut, that is somehow, I came across that way to the audience. There was a physicality that I brought up. I was very unique in that sense. I made my debut as a grey-shaded actor. I did 2 States after that. Gunday. I presented myself in the best way possible and along with all my producers and the way I was showcased. I think I set a standard. And the audience accepted me and gave me love and respect and had an expectation and I think I let myself down. I let the audience down. I let my films down. That I wasn’t able to keep up those high standards that I had only set. And somewhere that started showing an attitude or a feeling to the outer audience, that I am lazy, I am laid back, I don’t care. And I think it was also the time of transition where social media became more relevant.”

While it certainly was interesting to see Arjun Kapoor’s dedication to becoming the best version of himself, the actor was recently seen in the film Ek Villain Returns. Going forward, Arjun will next be seen in The Lady Killer which features him alongside Bhumi Pednekar followed by Kuttey.

Koffee With Karan 7: Sonam Kapoor reveals why she always poses for photographs at events; says, “90% of my clothes are borrowed”

The popular chat show Koffee With Karan is back with its seventh season featuring none other than filmmaker Karan Johar as the host. From revealing conversations to rib-tickling banter between the guests the latest season has featured some big names. From Akshay Kumar – Samantha Ruth Prabhu to Sara Ali Khan – Janhvi Kapoor, and to Ranveer Singh – Alia Bhatt, and Ananya Panday – Vijay Deverakonda the show has already wowed the audience. Now the latest episode that features siblings Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor is set to break the internet again. In fact, going by the teasers of the episode, it seems like Sonam reveals quite a few of Arjun’s secrets. If that was not enough, the actress even spoke about her pregnancy, her fashion style, and her obsession to click photographs.

During the conversation, responding to Karan Johar’s question about what she thinks about the trend these days, of people are trying too hard on the red carpet, and whether fashion photos are getting a bit excessive Sonam revealed how it all started. “The reason Rhea (Kapoor) and I decided to take photos was because we realized when we went to the red carpet, there was so much business behind us. And we were borrowing, most of my clothes are borrowed. 90 percent of my clothes are borrowed. We were like we need to give credit where due. The pure reason is that if somebody is lending me something, I want to make sure the person gets nice photos, the designer gets nice photos and we credit them. But now I don’t know if they are borrowing it or buying it and putting it up.”

Further during the conversation, Karan went on to quiz Sonam about Cannes this year. When asked about what she thought of the Indian representation at the festival Sonam revealed she got a lot of messages because she didn’t go to Cannes this year because of her pregnancy. “I don’t know if I was missed or not. Like I have been trolled for my sartorial choices before in Cannes. So who am I to say that how you’re dressing or who’s dressing what? Maybe people think my taste is bad.”
