REVEALED: Alia Bhatt to change her name officially to Alia Bhatt-Kapoor or Alia Kapoor-Bhatt; her screen name would remain unchanged

In the year when most actors have given major flops, Alia Bhatt is a rare exception. She’s one of the few actors who managed to give an Rs. 130 crores grosser in 2022, namely, Gangubai Kathiawadi. The super-success of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directorial confirmed that she’s one of the superstars and is here to stay. A few months later, she married her boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and it remained one of the most newsworthy developments of the year.

Several actresses have changed their names post marriage and adopted their husband’s surnames, be it Priyanka Chopra Jonas or Bipasha Basu Singh Grover. Alia Bhatt in an interview to Mid-Day has revealed that even she’ll be going for a name change. As per the story published in the tabloid, Alia will be christened Bhatt-Kapoor, or Kapoor-Bhatt. The name change will take place in her official documents.

Alia Bhatt was quoted as saying, “We are going to have a child now. I don’t want to be the Bhatt, whilst the Kapoors are travelling together; you know what I mean? I don’t want to feel left out.”

Alia Bhatt, however, made it clear that on screen, she would still be credited as Alia Bhatt. She also confessed that she hasn’t got the time to change her marital status on her passport. Hubby Ranbir, however, has ‘happily’ made the change in his passport.

While Alia Bhatt already has had significant developments this year, there’s still more to come. As aforementioned, she’s pregnant and as per reports, will have a delivery this year. And next month, she and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the highly awaited film, Brahmastra. It will be released in cinemas on September 9 and as per trade and industry, it is set for a huge opening in cinemas.

Delhi High Court allows Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt starrer Shamshera to release on Amazon Prime Video subject to YRF depositing Rs. 1 crore

Amazon Prime Video on Friday launched the action drama Shamshera, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor along with Ronit Bose Roy and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles on the streaming service. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra, the film is the fourth title to be premiered on Prime Video from the licensing deal with Yash Raj Films (YRF), following the digital premieres of Bunty Aur Babli 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Samrat Prithviraj.

Delhi High Court allowed the release of the film on OTT platforms subject to Yash Raj Films depositing Rs. 1 crore with its registry by August 22. The order was passed by justice Jyoti Singh. Bikramjeet Singh Bhullar had filed a suit and claimed that the movie was “an infringement of his copyright in the literary work ‘Kabu na chhadein Khet’.”

“Considering the totality of the circumstances as well as the fact that the impugned film has already been released in theatres and is scheduled to be released on the OTT Platforms tomorrow i.e. 19.08.2022, in my view, in order to balance the equities between the parties, at this stage, it would be appropriate to permit Defendant No. 1 to release the impugned film “Shamshera”, on the OTT Platforms, subject, however, to Defendant No. 1 (Yash Raj Films Pvt Ltd) depositing a sum of Rs.1 Crore with the Registrar General of this Court, latest by 22.08.2022,” the court said, according to Indian Express.

“It is made clear that if the money is not deposited within the timeline granted by this Court, an injunction shall operate against further telecast of the movie on the OTT Platforms with effect from 23.08.2022,” the Court added, as per Live Law India.

The mass entertainer & action film, Shamshera portrays Ranbir Kapoor in double role – as Shamshera and as his son, Balli. The film circles around the fictitious city of Kaza, a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian Shudh Singh. Shamshera is a legend for his tribe who relentlessly fights for his tribe’s freedom and dignity.

Built on a larger-than-life premise, Shamshera is now available on the service for audiences across the globe. The film is available in Hindi along with Tamil and Telugu language dubs.

Raju Srivastava’s wife Shikha assures her husband’s condition is stable; Shekhar says the comedian ‘seems out of that critical condition’

A few days ago, Raju Srivastav reportedly suffered a heart attack and is being treated in AIIMS in Delhi. Reports suggested he had suffered brain damage. While rumours about his health condition worsening spread like wildfire, his wife Shikha Srivastav has assured that her husband is in stable condition.

“He is stable. Doctors are treating him well. Raju ji is a fighter and he will come back to be amongst all of us. We need your prayers and wishes,” Shikha told PTI. “My sincere request is kindly do not spread rumours. It affects our morale. We do not want negative energy, we need positivity. Please pray for his speedy recovery and he will be back soon. Doctors are giving their best and Raju ji is supporting them, He is fighting. So, kindly do not spread negativity,” she added.

Shekhar Suman also updated on social media about the comedian’s health. “Raju’s latest update is that he seems out of that critical condition he was in y’day. The best doctors, neurosurgeons are attending on him and things are looking better. I feel Raju’s own will to fight and our collective prayers are being heard by the almighty. har har mahadev,” he wrote.

Here is the territory-wise breakdown of Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan in overseas at the close of Week 1

The much talked about and immensely promoted Aanand L Rai directorial Raksha Bandhan was released earlier this week on Thursday August 11. Starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar the film which enjoyed a festive release was expected to open with a bang. However, contrary to expectations Raksha Bandhan opened on a modest note with Rs. 8.20 cr coming in on its opening day. Following this the business of the film saw a drop in collections on its second day, while subsequent days followed the same trajectory.

In this box office report, we look at the overseas collections of the Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan while breaking the same into territory-wise data. Not surprisingly, the U.K market took the lead with Rs. 1.98 cr. coming in over the span of eight days, following this territory are the regions of U.S.A and Canada which raked in Rs. 1.91 cr. and Rs. 69.41 lakhs respectively. Interestingly, in the overseas markets of Australia and New Zealand Raksha Bandhan managed to draw in Rs. 51.93 lakhs and Rs. 31.22 lakhs respectively by the end of its Week 1 in cinemas.

These 3 pillars of off-roading have come up with such an adventurous sport in India.

In a quick interaction with Suniel Shetty, he said, “Mud skull off-roading is now a big event and sport of the emerging new India. Like any other sport, people are off-roading with zeal and passion. The USP of this event is its most challenging tracks and location.” The off-roading will be organized at Pali which is yet another beautiful destination for such a tough sport. Though it is a deadly sport, but the enthusiasm for this sport is beyond the limit as it is happening after a gap of three years. There will be more than 200 professional riders. As a safety concern, the tracks and terrain are made under great supervision. The great machine and cars are equipped with safety gear and harnesses. India is such a country that never lacks in terms of infrastructure and safety. On being asked about the skills and training required for such sport, he said that good passionate drivers who can handle the heavy machine and tough terrain, good knowledge of safety, navigation and how they can manipulate the tracks.

He further said that in this season 3, even the families are also involved along with their kids where they can drive on the non-professional tracks and enjoy the fanfare, music, and entertainment. This season is special as it is bringing the families together for such an outdoor sport. In this season, many couples as well as women riders have also enrolled. It makes us proud to see many more women riders in such tough terrain. This sport will give you an adrenaline rush for sure.

It will also connect the audience with their love for a great, beautiful machine. With the changing India, it’s high time that we include such a beautiful sport. Mud skull off-roading is a new sport emerging in India.
