Jeffrey Dean Morgan cast in recurring role in season 4 of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video

The Walking Dead veteran Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be joining the cast of the Amazon Original Series The Boys in Season 4 as a recurring guest star. Details on his character are being kept under wraps for Morgan’s reunion with showrunner Eric Kripke.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan played patriarch John Winchester on Kripke’s Supernatural and marks as the latest to join after Jensen Ackles having boarded season 3 as Soldier Boy.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s charisma, undeniable charm and versatility have landed him a variety of prestigious films and television series working alongside award-winning actors and filmmakers.  Having worked nonstop the past few years, Morgan continues to capture the attention of Hollywood and has emerged as one of the industry’s most sought-after leading men.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan can currently be seen in the hit AMC series, The Walking Dead, where he made his debut in the final episode of season six as the infamous antagonist, ‘Negan.’ This performance earned him a 2016 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Guest Performer in a Drama Series. He also won Best Villain at the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards for his work in season seven. The 11^th and final season of The Walking Dead is currently airing on AMC.

Following the conclusion of The Walking Dead, Morgan will reprise his role of ‘Negan’ in the upcoming spin-off series Isle of the Dead. Along with Lauren Cohan reprising her role as ‘Maggie,’ Isle of the Dead will follow the pair through post-apocalyptic Manhattan.  Morgan and Cohan will also serve as executive producers on the series that is set to premiere in 2023 on AMC.

Other recent projects include Friday Night in with The Morgans, which premiered in April 2020 on AMC. The talk-show was produced and hosted by Morgan and his wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan, and was filmed from their home in upstate New York during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. On the film side, recent credits include Warner Brother’s Rampage directed by Brad Peyton alongside Dwayne Johnson and Naomie Harris;  

Walkaway Joe alongside David Strathairn and under the direction of Tom Wright; The Postcard Killings with Famke Janssen for director Danis Tanovic; horror film The Unholy based on the best-selling James Herbert novel Shrine.

Raju Srivastava still on ventilator; daughter Antara Srivastava denies rumours of him gaining consciousness

Just a day ago, news of Raju Srivastava gaining consciousness went viral after certain reports claimed that the actor-comedian has come out of ventilator. However, denying these, daughter Antara Srivastava took to Instagram to share a note where she not only updated everyone about Raju’s health condition but also requested them to only believe statements given by family members and doctors. However, in the note, Antara did assure fans and well-wishers that the actor-comedian’s health is indeed improving.

Antara Srivastava took to the official Instagram account of Raju Srivastava to share a note saying, “Dear all well-wishers, My dad Raju Srivastava Ji’s condition is stable and he continues to recover slowly. He is on the ventilator at the moment.” The clarification statement came after the personal secretary of Raju Srivastava, Garvit Narang assured everyone that the actor-comedian is out of ventilator and gained consciousness in a statement given to news agency ANI.

Furthermore, Antara, in her note, also requested everyone to only trust information that is given by AIIMS hospital in Delhi and the official social media accounts of Raju Srivastava. “Only statements from AIIMS Delhi and Raju Ji’s official social media accounts are trustworthy and genuine. Any other news or statements from anyone else is unreliable. The doctors and their entire team at AIIMS Delhi are working hard and diligently. We’re thankful to them and his well-wishers. Request you all to continue your love and prayers for his speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.

For the uninitiated, Raju Srivastava was admitted to AIIMS Delhi after the actor-comedian collapsed during his gym training session on August 10 due to cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital by his trainer and later, the doctors had to perform CPR at least twice to recover his heartbeat. Followed by the incident, the actor-comedian is also said to have suffered brain damage and is currently on ventilator.

Following the releases of first look on 25th of every month before Pathaan arrives in theatres on January 25, 2023, the makers have unveiled the first motion poster of John Abraham in his power-packed antagonist look. It’s exactly 5 months to go for Yash Raj Films’ biggest tentpole film’s release and the studio dropped the first look of John Abraham as the villain in Pathaan! Directed by Siddharth Anand, the makers have kept every announcement under wraps, surprising people with it and thus, breaking the internet with first, Shah Rukh Khan’s look, then a glimpse of Deepika Padukone and now by presenting John Abraham in a super slick avatar.

Siddharth says, “Every announcement of Pathaan is like revealing a piece of an epic puzzle, in front of the curious eyes of the fans and audiences, leading right up to our release day. About his decision to cast John as the villain, Sid says, “John Abraham is THE antagonist, THE villain of Pathaan. And I have always believed in the fact that the villain’s projection should be as big, if not bigger than that of the hero’s. Only when the villain is massive, can the tussle between them be spectacular. And we have an extraordinary battle when SRK takes on John! We wanted to present John in a super slick avatar.”

The director says the first looks are teasing people into the world of Pathaan! He says, “The first looks of SRK, Deepika Padukone and now John, truly represent the zone we want the audiences to view the film in. People have now just got a taste of the world of Pathaan. This truly is just the tip of the iceberg and I can assure you that nothing can prepare you for the action spectacle that is coming your way.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika are one of the biggest on-screen pairings in the history of Indian cinema given their epic blockbusters Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year. Pathaan is set to release on Jan 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu!

Rajit Dev talks about choreographing Allu Arjun for Kpop band Trib-e and Armaan Malik collaboration MemuAagamu

Choreographer Rajit Dev, who is known for songs like ‘Coco’, ‘Bijlee Bijlee’ and ‘Baarish Ki Jaaye’, ‘Pachtaoge’, among others, recently confessed that it was no less than a dream when he got the opportunity to choreograph one of the biggest superstars in the industry currently, Allu Arjun for the song, ‘MemuAagamu’. The number gained a lot of attention as it is a part of coke live music that features Kpop band Trib-e and Armaan Malik.

Speaking about his experience with Allu Arjun, Rajit says,” I’ve worked on a song with Allu sir earlier, but I was an assistant to Vaibhavi Merchant. This is the first time I choreographed him as an independent choreographer. Making Allu Arjun dance to my style is nothing less than a dream to me.” He went on to appreciate the superstar adding, “Allu Arjun sir is such a humble person. Despite the huge stardom, there’s a beautiful heart which is warm and amazing.”

Another milestone which Rajit has crossed now is working with a Kpop band for this song. He shared his experience about working with Trib-e adding, ”I am very proud to say that I’m the first Indian to choreograph a Kpop band. It’s a huge thing. The group of girls (TRIB-E) were so sweet and super professional. They have so much energy, which I have experienced on the set and made my work look great.”

He also went on mention that he faced his own set of challenges when he had to bring together such big names together. “I was under a lot of pressure for coming up with a good hook step. As everyone knows Allu Sir is a fantastic dancer. His swag is simply magical. My thought was I’d make a few options which I feel are good and show it to sir to choose one. He liked everything but then we settled down with one particular style and everyone’s hooked to it,” he mentioned.

“I also wanted to incorporate Indian classical hands for the Kpop group. I knew this would be a great collaboration of Indian and Korean culture coming together,” he concluded. The song has released now and the choreographer asserted that he received a lot of appreciation for his work.

For the uninitiated, the music video of ‘MemuAagamu’ is directed by Collin D’Cunha and it was shot in mid of July in Bangkok.
