The winners of the 74th annual Emmy Awards were announced on September 12. Succession led the pack with 25 nods, followed by Ted Lasso and The White Lotus each with 20 nominations, and Hacks and Only Murders in the Building (Season 1), earning 17 nods each. Squid Game stars earned nominations too. The 74th Emmy Awards aired on Monday night in the US and several shows took home the awards. Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae won Best Actor in a Drama series whereas Hwang Dong Hyuk took home Best Director for a drama series. Jason Sudekis won Best Actor in Comedy while Jean Smart won Best Actress in Comedy. Zendaya won her second Best Actress Emmy tonight for her performance in Euphoria.
