As actor Prithviraj turns a year older, the makers took today as an opportunity to wish their star member and to introduce a new character from the film Salaar. The magnitude of the character required an individual like Prithviraj who will be seen playing the character of Vardharaja Mannaar in the film. While his character of Vardharaja will be equal to that of Prabhas in the film, it will bring a great drama between these two stars that will be the highlight for the audience to watch out for in the film.
While speaking about Prithviraj’s character, director Prashanth Neel said, “Having such a superstar like Prithviraj in the film is an absolute pleasure. We couldn’t have had a better Vardharaja Mannaar. The way he played such an enormous character in the film justifies his magnificent presence with his brilliant performance. The drama is surely going to be insane having him in the movie. Being a superstar in the Malayalam industry he has a huge fan base who will be truly mesmerized to see him playing such a huge character on the screen. It was an amazing experience to direct two great actors like Prithviraj and Prabhas together in the film.”

After the box office success of KGF: Chapter 2, Prashanth Neel and Homebale’s next film Salaar has become one of the most awaited movies in the Indian film industry as it unites the filmmaker with the Baahubali star Prabhas.
Salaar is one of the most anticipated films. Paired opposite Shruti Haasan, the movie is being released pan India in 5 languages. The movie also has Prithviraj Sukumaran, besides a superlative ensemble cast of Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and others in the key role.
Salaar is a combination of India’s two biggest franchises Bahubali and KGF as this is for the first time the Hombale Films, producers of KGF, the director of KGF, the technicians of KGF, and the hero of Bahubali will be coming together to serve India yet another blockbuster in 2023. One of them is producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor who will foray into the films with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. The musical will introduce six new faces. The Kapoors are excited about Khushi’s new journey.
Speaking to News18, Boney Kapoor recently said, “When the teaser came out which Zoya refers to as a ‘sizzler’, all three of us (Jahnvi Kapoor, Khushi and him) again sat down and we enjoyed watching it. There was nothing to criticise as it was amazing and we discussed the good points as those were the only things I could see. The same happens when I see Janhvi’s films.”
Back in May 2022, Netflix and Tiger Baby announced the cast of their upcoming project, The Archies. Set in the 1960s, this musical drama is being directed by Zoya Akhtar and headlined by a fresh ensemble. The film will feature Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Yuvraj Menda, Agastya Nanda and Vedang Raina in key roles. The 7 young actors will play the beloved characters from the hugely popular Archie Comics.
The music will be by Ankur Tiwari and the Islanders. The film will have the iconic gang of The Archies at the center of it and will match the youthful energy, hope and excitement of the sixties era. The film will give a musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves and everything young adult, it still promises to have something for every generation.
The Archies is reportedly set for 2023 release on Netflix.

Interestingly, while signing off, the director-producer revealed that he will return next year with yet another season. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the famous talk-show host shared the name of one actress, he thinks, would be a great host for a talk show.
In the fun rapid-fire round, when asked who out of Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Jahnvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan would be a good talk-show host, he said, “Sara Ali Khan. She would be a great talk-show host.” In the candid segment, he also mentioned the three top priorities currently, in Karan Johar’s life. “My children, my mom, my company,” he answered.
On the professional front, Karan Johar’s next directorial is Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi and is slated for 2023 release. The filmmaker is also planning to direct an action entertainer with hopes to kick off the shoot in April 2023.

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is set to resume the shoot for Kushi with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The latter is busy with the prep for Citadel India. Once her dates are locked, the shoot will resume.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda was most recently seen in Liger which failed to work at the box office. The film starred Ramya Krishnan and Ananya Panday among others. It marked the Hindi debut of Vijay. But, even with the heavy promotions and multiple city tours, the film really didn’t work in their favour. But, the director and the actor will be working together again. He has Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannadh next which is scheduled for 2023 release.
