Ayan Mukerji expresses gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna for their special appearances in Brahmastra: ‘Everyone accepted and supported this ambition’

After becoming a blockbuster in cinemas, Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles is set to arrive on Disney+ Hotstar The digital premiere of Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva will be available to the viewers in their preferred language from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Releasing on November 4, 2022, on the platform, the magnum opus is produced by Star Studios & Dharma Productions, and directed and written by Ayan Mukerji.

The film saw special appearances by the biggest names including Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna, and Dimple Kapadia. Expressing gratitude to them, Ayan spoke to ANI and said, “Brahmastra was an ambitious project from the start. And I felt that each of these characters represented something very unique. In a way, they represent little worlds in the larger world of Brahmastra. And that required certain gravitas and weight. Which led us to approach some of the best actors and talent in the country. We were very lucky that everyone accepted and supported this ambition. I am truly grateful to them for all their support. And for saying yes…”

Sharing how the characters are deep-rooted in India’s rich culture and are representative of it, Ayan Mukherji said, “Brahmastra is a grand celebration of our rich and unique Indian culture. Our film is inspired by our history, our vast heritage, and the stories we all have grown up with. It was important to me that Brahmastra ends up being a film every Indian can be proud of.”

Elaborating on how the film marks a new phase of Indian Cinema, he said, “Brahmāstra is the first film of our own original new universe. An entertaining, larger-than-life story based on our rich, grand culture, told with cutting-edge technology. It is a cinematic experience that I am very excited to bring into people’s homes so that families can watch it again or for the first time.”

“I am looking forward to all the reactions that are going to come our way from audiences who are revisiting the film, or are getting introduced to this world for the first time,” he added.

This never seen before visual spectacle is headlined by some of the finest actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni, among others in a universe which is loved and praised by everyone.

Liam Hemsworth to replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher season 4: ‘I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited’

In one of the latest developments, Henry Cavill is saying goodbye to the beloved character Geralt Of Rivia in The Witcher season 4. Ahead of the season 3 arrival next year, Cavill took to Instagram on Saturday to inform his fans that he will officially be ‘laying down my medallion and my swords’ and departing the fantasy series, on Netflix. Season 4 will see Liam Hemsworth take on the role of monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia instead.

“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures,” Cavill wrote in his post. “In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.”

He continued, “Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him. Enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.”

Hemsworth took to Instagram and paid tribute to Cavill, “As a Witcher fan, I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” he wrote. “Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.”

“Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character,” The Hunger Games actor said. “I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into the Witcher world.”

Henry Cavill’s announcement comes in less than weeks since he made a cameo as Superman in DC’s Black Adam. He then announced that he is putting the cape back on and is ready for the next movie.

The upcoming season 3 synopsis reads, “As monarchs, mages and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”

Netflix has seemingly greenlit seasons 4 and 5 of the series which will be reportedly shot back-to-back. While it is unclear when the production will begin, the seasons are currently in the writing stage.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s iconic song ‘Choli Ke Pecche Kya Hai’ from Khalnayak made its way to the White House, submerging the United States’ presidential residence in Indian music! ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ is still the heart of every celebration and mesmerises people.

Poorna Jagannathan, who is seen in Mindy Kaling’s show Never Have I Ever, was one of the attendees. She shared a clip of people dancing on the tunes of the song at the White House Diwali Party this year. The filmmaker tweeted about it mentioning, “Happy to see CHOLI KE PEECHHE song being played at White House Washington n Poorna Jagannathan dancing there. Especially when it faced a lot of backlash by social n political protests back then during its release in 1993. Good work stays for long. I feel blessed.”

He also stated, “I am grateful for all the love that people continue to shower on my work.”

Reminiscing the making he shared how ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ was actually picked from popular folk songs from Eastern India, he said, “We had never imagined that the song would receive social and political backlash. 1 crore cassettes were sold just within a week of its release, this led to envy from the industry and the song was labelled to be vulgar and faced criticism. When the movie was released, a leading newspaper mentioned that the song is beautifully depicted and is one of the iconic scenes of Indian cinema. When I myself went to see the audience’s reaction, they were purely awestruck. It was also picked up by many dancing workshops in schools. It became an iconic song for many people, including celebrities. One can realise the efforts went into composing the song and the negativity we dealt with when a section of people reacted to the song, but today the same people are in admiration. That’s the beauty of art we live in. Sometimes you might feel that you have done wrong but with time it turns out to be a classic. I feel blessed that this song has become so iconic that it’s being played globally including the White House in Washington DC wherein Poorna can be seen enjoying it.”

The song originally featured Madhuri Dixit, Neena Gupta and Sanjay Dutt.

Jr. NTR, Dulquer Salmaan, Kajal Aggarwal, Akhil Akkineni wish Samantha Ruth Prabhu speedy recovery after Myositis diagnosis

In this day and age of a digital world, where everyone is talking about and posting content about their highs and achievements in life, it’s still rare for people to share their lows or the challenges they are facing. On Saturday, Telugu actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to social media to reveal that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition Myositis and is still recovering.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a photo from th hospital and wrote, “Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me. A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery.

I love you.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”

Upon hearing the news, several celebrities wished her speedy recovery. “Get well soon Sam. Sending you all the strength,” wrote Jr NTR on Twitter, who has shared the screen space with Samantha in films  including Brindavanam and Jantha Garage.

Dulquer Salmaan, who teams up with Samantha in the upcoming Malayalam action thriller King Of Kotha, also said,  “More power to you Sam! LIke you said, This too shall pass.”

Shriya Saran commented on her Manam co-star’s Instagram post, “Love and light to you, you are amazing always.”

Akkineni Akhil, actor and brother or Samantha’s ex-husband Naga Chaitanya wrote, “All the love and strength to you dear Sam.”

Kajal Aggarwal commented, “Speedy recoveries Sam… You’re going to bounce back much stronger!”

Sevaral Bollywood celebrities including Janhvi Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Sanya Malhotra among others left red heart emojis on her post.

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will star in her upcoming multilingual film, Yashoda. Directed by Hari and Harish, the film is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies and is set to release on November 11, 2022.

TXT wraps up first world tour ACT: LOVESICK with 19 concerts in 13 cities: ‘Please look forward to our next chapter’

TXT, which comprises SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENING KAI, victoriously wrapped up their first world tour ACT: LOVESICK, concluding the grand series of 19 concerts in 13 cities. TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) captivated the worldwide audience with performances starting with the concert in Seoul in July, followed by crowd-pulling stages in the seven U.S. cities–Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Upon completing the U.S. leg of the world tour, the quintet extended their shows in two cities in Japan, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Manila, throughout September and October.

The K-pop group truly manifested their growth throughout ACT: LOVESICK with dynamic stage composition and musical versatility. The act dazzled the fans with performances that brought back the group’s earlier times, like “CROWN,” “Can’t you See Me?,” and “Run Away.” TXT continued the exuberant energy with the lead singles of the more recent albums like “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You),” “‘LO$ER=LO♡ER,” and “Good Boy Gone Bad.”

TOMORROW X TOGETHER further dazed the audience by presenting a collaborative stage with their fellow Gen Z artists during the two-day Los Angeles shows. Salem Ilese joined the stage to sing “PS5,” and iann dior appeared to perform “Valley of Lies (feat. iann dior).” The quintet created a meaningful connection with fans in Asia by singing the original Japanese track “Force” and “Ring” while eliciting cheers by singing a popular song in the local music scene in Jakarta.

Along with their spectacular performance, TOMORROW X TOGETHER delivered their affection and appreciation to the global fans (MOA) by communicating with them in local languages. MOA reciprocated with elated cheer and waved the beautifully lit light sticks called ‘MOA Bong.’ The fans raised the energy with a full-throated singalong of the Korean lyrics and the chanting of the names of the five members.

At the final show in Manila, the act delivered a heartfelt message to the fans as the action-packed show approached the end by saying, “The first world tour was an opportunity for us five members to become a stronger team. Most importantly, words cannot express how grateful we are, as ACT: LOVESICK would not have come true without our MOA’s love and support. Unfortunately, ACT: LOVESICK has ended, but TOMORROW X TOGETHER will continue to bring great music and performance, so please look forward to our next chapter.”

While on tour, the group received their very first nomination for MTV European Music Awards for ‘Best Asia Act.’ TOMORROW X TOGETHER also received an American Music Awards nomination for ‘Favorite K-Pop Artist.’
