Karan Johar is all set to launch Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim. The former couple’s elder son Ibrahim will be launched by Karan Johar in early 2023 . The film will be directed by Boman Irani’s son Kayoze Irani who has been closely associated with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions ever since he played a small role in Student Of The Year in 2016. Kayoze also directed the segment entitled Ankahee in Dharma Productions’ omnibus Ankahee Dastaan.
The Kayoze-directed yet-untitled debut film of Ibrahim Ali Khan will follow the release of the Karan Johar-directed Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Incidentally, Ibrahim is assisting Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani… Karan Johar was supposed to launch Ibrahim’s sister Sara Ali Khan. But before he could zero in on the right vehicle, she made her debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. With Karan’s blessings, of course.

She also has Adipurush with Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh. After Luka Chuppi and Heropanti, Kriti will also reunite with Kartik Aaryan in Shehzaada and Tiger Shroff in Ganapath.
Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant are among India’s finest musician duos. The duo composes music predominantly for Hindi films.
Over the years, music composers Salim-Sulaiman have managed to become one of the most revered names in the Hindi film music. From Chak De! India, Fashion to Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Band Baaja Baaraat and much more, the Merchant brothers have come a long way creating smash hit music albums for numerous Bollywood films for over a decade now.
In an exclusive music room interview with Bollywood Hungama, while sharing the interesting behind-the-scene stories of how they created their chart-buster songs, the musical duo also talked about the challenges they faced while creating Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi song “Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte.”
Whilst singing “Dance Pe Chance” from the 2008 film, Salim shared, “Haule Haule was a very quick song, we composed it very quickly. And the next day we did Dance Pe Chance literally, and that also got finished in one day.” Sulaiman chimed in, “No, two days to be precise.”
Salim then said, “Yeah, Dance Pe Chance took 1-2 days but Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte took the most amount of time because it had one verse dedicated to Raj Kapoor, another was dedicated to Shammi Kapoor, then Dev Anand. So, it was like every day, we would do one character.”
Sulaiman shared, “Every section took us about two days or sometimes three days. So the song took around 7-8 days because we were not only composing but producing as well… If it’s a Rajesh Khanna song then what were the elements of his songs, so, we added those elements.”
Salim added, “If you listen to it carefully, there are some amazing elements of each character.” Further speaking of how challenging it was to create the full song, Salim shared while singing, “It was very stressful and challenging. But Jaideep [Sahni] was writing [the lyrics] so fast like Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua, Jeena Yahan, Marna Yahan… these are some famous phrases [from the legendary actors].”
“So, the melodies are also matching the original songs,” Sulaiman shared. Salim then added after singing the verse, “So, every element of the phrase was matching the composition but it was different. It was very difficult.”
Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a romance-musical film which debuted in 2008. The film follows Surinder (Shah Rukh Khan), a simple man, falls for a vivacious Tani (Anushka Sharma) and gets married to her. In order to impress her, he undergoes a complete makeover and becomes Raj.
Ever since Mira Rajput tied the knot with Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, her name has managed to grab headlines. Making an addition to the same, Rajput dropped a photo dump on Thursday. In the photos, she can be seen vacationing in New York. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently gearing up for her upcoming film, director Hansal Mehta’s untitled next. The actress started shooting for the film in October onwards. After taking a brief break for Diwali and her 10th wedding anniversary, Kapoor was back on the sets.

Director-producer Karan Johar has spoken candidly about his upbringing and struggles with body image. During his appearance as a guest on Tweak India, Karan said to Twinkle Khanna that he hasn’t really accepted his figure. He also added that the insecurity that started from being referred to as a ‘pansy’ throughout his academic years is the reason he now dresses loosely.
While recalling being referred as ‘Pansy from Green Lawns High School’ or ‘pansy from HR College’, Karan said, “That wasn’t my f*****g identity you know and that’s what it had become. When I entered college from school I realised I had to wear ‘manly clothes.’ I cannot wear stuff that I want to wear.”
KJo further added, “I’ll wear check shirts, jeans and sneakers so that I can fit in. I hope and pray that kids today don’t ever have to go through what we went through at that time. I hope parents are more understanding.”
Johar concluded by saying, “I have a big problem with fitted clothes because even if there’s a small roll, my mind will immediately go to that. I still look all around me when I enter the room. Now I have made it a thing where I wear these oversized clothes, but I actually can’t bear any tight thing, a t-shirt, shirt bothers me to no end.”
Coming to his professional front, the 55-year-old filmmaker will soon mark his directorial comeback with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The forthcoming film is slated to release on April 28 next year.
The last one week has been a dramatic one thanks to the developments that happened over Hera Pheri 3. Speculations arose that Akshay Kumar is out of the film while Kartik Aaryan has stepped in. On Friday, November 11, Paresh Rawal confirmed on Twitter that Kartik is indeed a part of the much-awaited sequel. Later, Akshay Kumar at an event claimed that he was out of Hera Pheri 3 as he was not happy with the script.
Today, an article in Mid-Day carries a quote from Suniel Shetty who reveals that he’s shocked at the sudden turn of events. He also gave hope to the fans as he said “I want to see if things can still fall in place”, that is, if he, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal can reunite for Hera Pheri 3.
Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to Suniel Shetty as part of the promotions of his web series, Dharavi Bank. When asked to comment on his hope of getting the original cast back, he said, “That would be the best thing to happen. There are speculations that Kartik replaced Akshay. See, Akshay cannot be replaced. The makers are in talks with Kartik for a completely different character. So, there’s no argument.”
He also agreed that without Akshay Kumar, Hera Pheri 3 would be a different experience, “That void will always be there. What finally happens is something that needs to be seen. I am not aware because I am genuinely busy with Dharavi Bank. I have had no time to sit down and work on all this. After November 19, I’ll sit down and understand and talk to Akki and others and see what happened.”
He also spoke highly of Hera Pheri’s producer, “Firoz Nadiadwala, poor guy, hasn’t had a release for 14 years. He’s an old friend. Fingers crossed and I wish good for everybody.”
Hera Pheri (2000) starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty as tenants and Suniel Shetty as the landlord. The chemistry of the trio was much loved, which prompted Firoz Nadiadwala to make Phir Hera Pheri (2006). The sequel was a huge hit then but in the last couple of years, both films have achieved cult status. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama in June this year, Firoz confirmed that he’s going to take Hera Pheri 3 on floors very soon. The news spread like wildfire, and it proved the craze that the series has generated.
