After completing her shoot schedule in London, Kareena Kapoor Khan joined Saif Ali Khan and the ‘power couple’ of Bollywood added a dash of glitz and glamour with their presence at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. After Kajol attended the opening ceremony of the film festival, joining the B-town celebs at the festival are also Priyanka Chopra who has flown down from LA as well as new mother Sonam Kapoor, who has returned to work after delivering her first child, Vayu. All the celebrities seem to have left fashion lovers in awe with their pretty outfits.

Kareena Kapoor Khan opted for a true blue royalty look in her pretty blue Monique Lhuillier gown whereas Saif Ali Khan stuck to his Nawabi roots in this all white pant suit look with a bandhgala. On the other hand, for the evening, Kareena decided to go traditional in an olive sheer sequined saree with her husband Saif complementing her look at the red carpet in a suave suited avatar. The couple were also seen interacting with the media.

Sonam Kapoor returned to work after a long time since the actress recently delivered her first child with Anand Ahuja. The couple welcomed a baby boy and named him Vayu, a couple of months ago, and now Sonam has returned to doing what she loves the most – being the fashionista. Accompanied by her sister and stylist, Rhea Kapoor, the actress attended the festival in some of the most glamorous gowns. Her first look was the a beautiful red gown with ruffled cape from the house of Rami Kadi and jewellery by Chopard. The actress also changed into another pretty look in a yellow off shoulder gown from the house of Sara Mrad for the Vanity Fair dinner.

Priyanka Chopra flew from the US to attend the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah and walked the red carpet in a beautiful mustard colour gown that left her fans wanting for more. Priyanka Chopra also sported another look earlier where she opted for a glitzy royal avatar in a beige shimmering gown.

EXCLUSIVE: Sharman Joshi reveals the impact 3 Idiots had on his life; says “People started knowing me by my name only after this film”

Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots is easily the film that stands out from Sharman Joshi’s career. But the film that became his claim-to-fame was N Chandra’s Style in 2001. This is what he revealed in an exclusive video chat with Bollywood Hungama. “People started knowing me as Bantu (his character name in Style). They didn’t know me by name though,” he said.

But he achieved actual fame only after he did his first and only Hirani movie. “They started knowing me by my name only after 3 Idiots,” said Sharman proudly. Sharing an interesting anecdote, the actor said he still remembers the shoot of Style when he and his co-star Sahil Khan had dressed up as women. “The first day I dressed up (as a woman) and walked onto the sets and started delivering my lines, Chandra ji was laughing like anything.”

Sharman added that this actually was an appreciation of his performance. “He (N Chandra) was absolutely delighted by the way I was playing it out,” he recalled. “Of course, he had seen me during rehearsals but then he saw me in the whole costume. Everyone was loving it. And Sahil and me were wondering since we had done that daily during the rehearsals and not many people were praising it then.”

Suniel Shetty claims he is not insecure about Akshay Kumar’s success; admits, “I probably wasn’t focussed when I was working, didn’t pay heed to the scripts”

Suniel Shetty’s pair with Akshay Kumar was one of the highlights of the 1990s and later in films like Waqt Humara Hai, Mohra, Hera Pheri, Dhadkan, etc. In a chat with Bollywood Life, when the actor was asked if he feels insecure, looking at the success Akshay achieved in later years, he said, “I am not insecure. Akshay inspires me. Ajay (Devgn) inspires me. Not necessarily for movies but the idea being (to) stay focussed and you could achieve anything. I probably wasn’t focussed when I was working. Probably I didn’t pay heed to the scripts I was hearing or I believed I was larger-than-life. But that’s a mistake.”

Suniel added that he still has a lot for which he feels thankful. “Why would I feel the pressure when a 100 million people out there haven’t made it and they want to make it? So, glass half full, half empty. For me, half is good enough. I am very happy in my space; in my mental space.”

Elaborating on this point, he added, “I have a solid family and friends. I don’t know what I have achieved as far as cinema goes. But I know one thing for a fact that there is a lot of goodwill and love and affection that I have and I live of that.”

Suniel recently made his web debut in the MX Player show Dharavi Bank, which also stars Vivek Oberoi.

“Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is shot in some of the most remote locations of the world,” reveals director Siddharth Anand

Yash Raj Films has left no stone unturned for their hugely awaited action extravaganza Pathaan. News is just out that in order to make the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer a spectacle of sorts, the makers have shot not in three of four but eight countries, which include, Spain, UAE, Turkey, Russia and Siberia, Italy, France, India and Afghanistan.

While reasoning out the decision, director Siddharth Anand said in a statement, “Locations always play a huge role in my films and they became even more important for Pathaan as we intended to deliver an action spectacle for audiences that they have never seen before. To achieve that scale and variation in visuals we went to 8 countries to shoot the film and its lavish action sequences!”

Siddharth also shared how they planned the whole film accurately. “We were clear that every scene of Pathaan needs to be breath-taking and we meticulously went about planning to achieve this,” said the filmmaker. “I remember the pre-production of Pathaan took close to two years because we wanted to be absolutely sure that we are going to try and raise the bar of action spectacles in India.”

He also revealed that they explored some novel locations to shoot the film. “We have shot in some of the most remote and most exquisite locations in the world that have helped us create a visual experience that is immersive and outlandish,” said Siddharth. “I simply hope that audiences love our effort to create a cinematic milestone when Pathaan releases in theatres on Jan 25.”

Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, Pathaan also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles.
