Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Director Ali Abbas Zafar reveals details of the Akshay Kumar – Tiger Shroff starrer; says, “Will complete in April 2023”

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, no relation to David Dhawan’s film of the same name released in 1998, is all set to be shot across several countries. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is cast in a special role. Janhvi Kapoor is cast as the female lead.

Speaking on the shooting plans, director Ali Abbas Zafar says, “It’s a big action comedy drama, set up at an international scale shot over four countries. We start shooting in January 2023 and will complete in April 2023.”

Considering the size of the production that sounds like cutting it really close. Says Ali, “Yes we have been prepping the film for over sixteen months now.” Ali Abbas Zafar is known for his Salman Khan starrers Sultan and Bharat and also the sensitive Netflix production Jogi.

Prithviraj Sukumaran supports Shah Rukh Khan and Pathaan: “It’s sad that an art form has to be put through such observations”

Ever since the song ‘Besharam Rang’ has hit the tube, Shah Rukh Khan and his film Pathaan has come under the scanner for hurting sentiments of certain groups. The film and the song are currently facing multiple allegations from right-wing groups over fashion choices, choreography, and intimacy scenes. Amidst all the hoopla, Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran, who has also been a part of some Bollywood projects, has spoken in support of the film and has expressed his disappointment over how art forms are subjected to such minute observations and criticisms.

While speaking at a press conference in Kochi about his film Kappa, Prithviraj Sukumaran also touched upon the “sad” state of affairs where art forms become a victim of such viewpoints. As per OTTPlay reports, he said, “It’s sad that an art form has to be put through such observations and points of views as an artiste.”

Readers would recall that, during a Roundtable session with Film Companion, Prithviraj had nothing but appreciation for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. The actor-filmmaker had said, “There have been times not too long ago when we’ve set down the table & thought, ‘How are they doing it? How is Hindi cinema cracking this? How are they able to open up such huge overseas markets?’ And that was not too long ago. I am not talking about the medieval ages. So, this I truly believe is a phase. There will be one big hit, maybe it’s Pathaan.”

Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead with John Abraham as the antagonist is directed by Siddharth Anand. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the film is releasing on January 25 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

Ranveer Singh opens up about wanting to do Raja Babu remake; says, “I keep telling Varun Dhawan to not do the film”

While Ranveer Singh has won accolades for his unconventional roles like Bajirao in Bajirao Mastani, and Khilji in Padmaavat, the actor has also left the audiences impressed with Simmba. So we know that the audiences love him in different avatars and they are equally anticipating the deadly combo of Ranveer and Rohit Shetty on the big screens with Cirkus. On the other hand, the Bollywood star opened up about the kind of films he would like to be a part of. Being a self-proclaimed Govinda fan, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Singh wants to be a part of the actor’s film remakes and it seems the one he has his eye on is Raja Babu, co-starring Karisma Kapoor.

For the unversed, Raja Babu featured Govinda as an illiterate man, pampered by his mother, who falls in love with the pretty and educated girl played by Karisma Kapoor. The 1994 film gained massive popularity owing to its songs like ‘Mere Dil Na Todo’, ‘Ui Amma Ui Amma’, and ‘Sarkaiye Lo Khatiya’ which turned out to be some of the biggest chartbusters of the era. Now talking about being a part of this Govinda – Karisma Kapoor starrer rom-com Ranveer Singh was quoted saying to Pinkvilla about how he requested his friend and co-actor Varun Dhawan to not be a part of its remake, if he was ever offered one.

Varun Dhawan is known for his impeccable comic timing and his style is often compared to Govinda and Salman Khan. Talking about in these reports, Ranveer Singh said, “Varun Dhawan keeps doing these movies man, and I keep telling him, ‘Kuch Bhi Karna, Raja Babu maat karna’ (I want to do it).” In the same interview, Ranveer Singh confessed that Raja Babu and Judwaa are amongst some of his favourite Bollywood films, which he has seen many times.

Coming to his upcoming film Cirkus, Ranveer Singh will be seen in a dual role in this Rohit Shetty directorial. The film also stars Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Murali Sharma, Johnny Lever, among others and is slated to release on December 23.

TXT encounter devil’s voice in intriguing concept teaser for The Name Chapter: Temptation, watch video

TOMORROW X TOGETHER unveiled the concept teaser for their highly-anticipated 5th EP The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION at midnight on December 21. Over previous albums, the group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, HUENINGKAI) have presented conceptual storytelling albums consisting of songs that are intricately interconnected as a cohesive, compelling narrative.

The new concept teaser further raises anticipation for the new poignant story the act will bring. The teaser shows a silhouette of a person behind a curtain where green light gleams through, and a butterfly flying past where the silhouette left. Then, an intriguing phrase appears and reads, ‘The devil’s voice I encountered by the window at midnight was sweet.’

Ahead of the release of The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION on January 27th, TOMORROW X TOGETHER will unveil the ‘Daydream’ version of the album concept photos following today’s concept teaser release.

The concept teaser comes as TOMORROW X TOGETHER recently charted their 4th EP minisode 2: Thursday’s Child on Billboard’s official 2022 Year-End ‘Billboard 200’ chart as the only K-Pop act other than BTS.

Sobhita Dhulipala posted a number of photos of her most recent appearance on social media, in which the actress can be seen donning a stylish black ensemble by the fashion house Shehla Khan. The strapless dress included a midriff-baring cutaway and a deep sweetheart neckline. The thigh-high slit in front and exquisite ruffled design throughout the flare gave the black dress a fashionable edge. The jewellery worn by Sobhita includes metallic bracelets, tiered necklaces, and hoops. Her glamorous makeup comprised brownish lips, sculpted brows, accentuated cheeks, and kohl-rimmed eyes.

Alaya Furniturewalla also posted images of herself wearing the same attire on her Instagram account. She did, however, dress the Shehla Khan ensemble differently. A choker necklace with stones, dangling earrings, and a couple statement rings were worn with the strappy ensemble. Alaya exuded a refined, fashionable vibe. She paired the dress with a pair of black strappy heels. Alaya chose glittery makeup with bronzed cheeks, glittering eyelashes, kohled eyes, and a nude lip tint, leaving her mane free in curled waves.

Salman Khan and Riteish Deshmukh groove to ‘Ved Lavlay’ from Ved, watch video

Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, Ved, a Marathi movie, has unveiled the track ‘Ved Lavlay’ starring Salman Khan. The film will release in December 2022. Salman Khan previously made an appearance in Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi movie debut, Lai Bhaari.

Showing off their moves in the song, the track has been crooned by Vishal Dadlani and Ajay Gogavale. “Bhau is Back !! सलमान भाऊंनी वेड लावलय लावलय लावलय. Get ready to grove on this unstoppable madness of #VedLavlay with @beingsalmankhan,” Riteish wrote on Twitter.

Back in June 2022, The actor thanked the superstar for being a part of the movie and penned an emotional note. Taking to Instagram, the actor wrote, “As we celebrate Ashadi Ekadashi, I wish you all a life filled with happiness, love, and prosperity. On this auspicious day it thrills me to say that with your kind blessings I have completed filming my first directorial Marathi movie ‘वेड’ (Madness, Crazy, Passion). This road had its own challenges but when you are surrounded with people that have your back, forward is the only way you can go.”

Riteish further wrote, “One such person is my dearest ‘Salman Bhau’ @beingsalmankhan, I have no words to express my gratitude for the grace and kindness he has shown towards Genelia and me. He was part of my debut marathi film ‘Lai Bhaari’ and now he is a part of my debut directorial film वेड. Love you Bhau.”

On the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The film, which was set to release in theatres on December 30, will now hit the theatres on Eid 2023. The actor unveiled several looks from the movie and even a teaser video. The film stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari. The film is directed by Farhad Samji and bankrolled by Salman Khan Films.

He will also be seen in Tiger 3 which will hit the theatres on Diwali 2023. Directed by Maneesh Sharma and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the film marks his reunion with Katrina Kaif. The actor has a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan which arrives in theatres on January 25, 2023.
