BREAKING: Trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan to be FINALLY launched on January 10

Bollywood Hungama has been at the forefront in providing exclusive and accurate information about Pathaan. We were among the first ones to reveal that Shah Rukh Khan is collaborating with Siddharth Anand and Yash Raj Films (YRF) for an action entertainer. Last month, we broke the news that the song ‘Besharam Rang’ will be unveiled on December 12. In the last week of December, we also reported that the advance booking of Pathaan commenced on a rocking note. And now, we bring to you the much-awaited update on when the trailer of Pathaan will be released.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The wait is about to get over. Pathaan’s theatrical trailer will finally be released on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. The trailer is under 3 minutes and will focus on the action and will also give a little idea about the plot of the film. Shah Rukh Khan obviously gets prominence in the trailer. But Deepika Padukone and John Abraham too have been given their due.”

The source continued, “YRF unveiled the two songs of the film – ‘Besharam Rang’ and ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ – in December, before unveiling the trailer. The strategy worked as the songs became a chartbuster and ‘Besharam Rang’ especially is a rage. It was the top song in the holiday season as well. Now, the trailer will help in further enhancing the buzz for the film. The decision to release the promo just two weeks before will pay off.”

Pathaan releases worldwide on January 25, 2023, and is a part of YRF’s spy universe. Hence, Salman Khan aka Tiger is also a part of it. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan will also make a special appearance in Tiger 3, which releases on Diwali 2023, in which he’ll play the character of Pathaan. The other character who is a part of the spy universe is Kabir from War (2019). At a recent promotional shoot, Shah Rukh Khan talked about this aspect and said, “The only thing missing is Hrithik. Hopefully, we’ll try to get him on board because that’ll make our film wonderful.”

Janhvi Kapoor says there’s enough machinery to make actors think they’ve killed it with their performances: ‘Results se confidence nahi milta mujhe’

Janhvi Kapoor had a tremendous 2022 with two releases Mili and Good Luck Jerry. Both roles brought her praise for her diversity in choices and her performances. But, the actress admits that in these times, one can’t value themselves simply based on the results. She spoke about the PR machinery that makes you think you’ve killed it.

In an interview, Janhvi Kapoor shared with Bollywood Bubble, “In this day and age, you can’t value yourself based on the result because… and this might bite me in the a*s to say this but I think there’s so much machinery behind everything to make even agar aap rubbish bhi kar lo (even if you do rubbish work), there’ll be enough noise to make you feel like you have killed it in life and you’ll kill it in life. There’ll be enough noise to make you feel like you suck so I try not to value myself based on the result so much.”

She added,  “Results se confidence nahi milta mujhe. Experience karne se, process se, seekh milne se mujhe confidence milta hai. (I don’t get confidence from the result. Experience, process, learning, that gives me confidence).”

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will next star in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan. She is also reuniting with Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao in Mr and Mrs. Mahi.

Katrina Kaif blushes as Vicky Kaushal performs a private dance for the actress in a viral video

Vicky Kaushal is for sure as everyone says, ‘perfect husband material’ and recent viral video is proof of it. A snippet of Vicky putting a private dance concert for wife in Maldives on the occasion of her birthday goes viral and the fans just can’t stop admiring this couple. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Mini Mathur shared a snippet of Vicky Kaushal dancing for his wife Katrina, on her birthday.

In the video, we can see glimpse of Vicky donned in a maroon shirt and white pants, kneeled on the floor grooving to the music. While Katrina is seen siting on the couch, blushing and giggling while she admires her husband dance for her. She was seen wearing a white outfit. Fans were quick to capture the snippet of Vicky and Katrina, eventually making it viral. Netizens started drooling over this clip and admired Vicky’s dance for Katrina. Vicky and Katrina celebrated her birthday with close friends in the Maldives. The party included Katrina’s sister Isabelle Kaif, Mini Mathur, Ileana D’Cruz, Anand Tiwari and Angira Dhar.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. On the other hand, Katrina’s last film was Phone Bhoot, which was a theatrical release. Anil Kapoor prays for speedy recovery of Jeremy Renner following his snow plowing accident

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is praying for the speedy recovery of Hollywood star Jeremy Renner who recently met with snow plowing accident. The actor underwent surgery and has been in the intensive care unit. The actors last year worked on a project together which will reportedly arrive this year.

Anil Kapoor shared two throwback paparazzi pictures of him and Jeremy from their India meet and wrote, “Praying for your speedy recovery Jeremy.”

Jeremy Renner met with an accident on Sunday and was airlifted to the hospital. “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while ploughing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care,” his spokesperson informed Deadline.

As per the latest update, his reps told Variety, “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Jeremy Renner was in India last year for the shoot of his Disney+ docu-series Rennervations. Anil Kapoor reportedly is a part of it. The actors had met during Renner’s visit to India. On the work front, Jeremy is set to star in the second season of Mayor of Kingstown, which will premiere on January 15 on Paramount.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor will next star in Animal. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, it stars Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna. He also has Siddharth Anand’s Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan’s break up was mutual; they wanted to focus on their careers, says Falaq Naaz

Television actress Tunisha Sharma allegedly died by suicide at the age of 20 after she was founding hanging on the sets of her TV show Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul late in December 2022. It has left the industry in shock. Her Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan was arrested and has been in judicial custody following a complaint filed by Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma alleging abetment to suicide. Khan’s family held a press conference on Monday to clear out some allegations made against Sheezan. The press conference on Monday afternoon saw Sheezan’s sisters Shafaz Naaz and Falaq Naaz along with their mother, advocate Shailendra Mishra in attendance.  Following the press conference, Falaq took to her Instagram to further clarify on Sheezan and Tunisha’s break up.

In the video shared on Instagram on Monday, Falaq said, “Break-up hua ya nahi hua, iss ek particular sawaal ko itna ghuma diya, mere bolne ko itna ghuma diya…again mein phir se bol rahi hoon ki jab hamari press conference chal rahi thi tabhi humnein yeh baat clear kar di thi ki break-up ek achhe note pe hua tha..dono ne yeh mutual understanding ke saath yeh decide kiya tha… ki yes let’s focus on our career first. Yeh bahut early stage hain… pehle kaam karte hain, acche se show karte hain, uske baad…yeh Whatsapp ka chat hain joh police ke paas as an evidence rakha hain. (Whether the break-up happened or not, this particular question has been twisted so much…what I said has been twisted… so I am clarifying again the same point that we had mentioned in the beginning of the press conference, that the breakup occurred at a good note, where both of them decided it on the grounds of mutual understanding to focus on their individual careers first… this is part of the WhatsApp chat that has been submitted to the police as per evidence.)”

The top 6 OTT Indian platforms spent more than Rs. 5000 crores on producing original shows in 2022

The Indian consumers were earlier used to only watching films and TV series but in the last couple of years, they also got habituated to consuming web series and mini-series. The trend picked up after the success of the first season of Sacred Games (2018), starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and it accelerated during the lockdown. Though there are reports of the growth of subscribers plateauing and streaming giants preferring quality over quantity, the fact is that a lot of money continues to be pumped into making original content. Last month, a report in The Economic Times stated that the six main OTT platforms in India spent between $600 million and $700 million on producing shows in 2022. In other words, these players invested between a whopping Rs. 4968 crores and Rs. 5796 crores to make new content in the web series format!

These top six platforms are Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony LIV, Zee5 and Voot. The amount mentioned above excludes money spent on making original movies or investment done on sports content.

A source said, “Interestingly, 2022 is when Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings confessed that the lack of growth in India is frustrating. It’s also common to hear this year that subsequent seasons of popular shows have been cancelled by different OTT giants across the world due to practical factors.” In October, Bollywood Hungama even reported that the streaming platforms have stopped buying films for direct-to-digital release with the same regularity as they used to do in 2020.

Another source commented, “But at the same time, the platforms don’t want to cut down and want to continue funding shows and movies, as there’s potential. This keeps the hope alive. This was evident by the grand event held by Amazon Prime Video in April 2022 wherein they launched 40 new shows and films in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Even Netflix has made grand announcements and all the plans are on.”

The Economic Times report also stated an estimate by Media Partners Asia that the online video content investment in India is $1.3 billion in 2022 and that it is expected to increase to $4.2 billion by 2027.

Meanwhile, there has been a growth in subscribers in 2022. As per Ormax OTT Audience Sizing Report 2022, India has 13.20 crores SVOD (subscription video-on-demand) audiences. The number stood at 11.50 crores in 2021.

Tunisha Sharma’s mother once tried to strangle her; did not share a good relationship, claims Sheezan Khan’s lawyer

Tunisha Sharma, a TV actress, allegedly died by suicide at the age of 20 late in December 2022. It has left the industry in shock. Her Ali Baba Dastan-E-Kabul co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan has been in judicial custody following a complaint filed by Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma alleging abetment to suicide. While Vanita has claimed that Khan cheated on her daughter, Khan’s family held a press conference to clear out some allegations made against Sheezan. In a press conference on Monday afternoon, attended by Sheezan’s sisters Shafaz Naaz and Falaq Naaz along with their mother, advocate Shailendra Mishra claimed that Tunisha did not share a good relationship with her mother. He also alleged that Vanita once tried to strangle her daughter. Mishra even claimed that Sanjeev Kaushal, who is claiming to be Tunisha’s uncle, is not related to her and her family.

“Tunisha’s mom is well aware that Tunisha did not have good equations with her family. After the death of Tunisha’s father, she has never celebrated her birthday happily. This was the first time that she planned to celebrate her birthday, years after she last celebrated her birthday with her father. The cops are investigating the relationship between Tunisha’s mom and Sanjeev Kaushal,” the lawyer claimed.

“It was Sanjeev Kaushal and Tunisha’s mom Vanita Sharma who dominated and controlled her. Post lockdown, Tunisha’s mom and Kaushal even forced the actress to travel to Chandigarh, and when she refused, Vanita broke her mobile phone and even tried to strangle her. Tunisha had shared all of this with the director of the show she was a part of then,” Sheezan’s lawyer said.

Mishra also said that Tunisha’s uncle Pawan Sharma was fired as her manager four years ago as “he used to interfere a lot & behave harshly with her”. He added, “Tunisha & Sanjeev Kaushal (an uncle in Chandigarh) had terrible relations. Sanjeev Kaushal & her mother, Vanita tried to strangle her, Sheezan Khan’s lawyer claimed Tunisha’s finances. Tunisha often pleaded in front of her mother for her own money.”
