Following this, the Marathi film continued its great run on its second Saturday, which was yesterday, by scoring a phenomenal Rs 4.53 crores. This is also its highest single day score till now.
The news was shared by the veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter. He wrote, “#Marathi film #Ved continues its EXTRAORDINARY RUN… Posts its HIGHEST *single day total* on Day 9… In fact, the jump on [second] Sat is simply PHENOMENAL [growth: 79.76%]… [Week 2] Fri 2.52 cr, Sat 4.53 cr. Total: ₹ 27.72 cr… On course to be a BLOCKBUSTER.”
Ved, which stars Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh and Jiya Shankar, finished its first week with a very inspiring Rs 20.67 crores. Needless to say, the film’s second week numbers are going to be even higher. Considering its incredible numbers on Friday and Saturday, Ved is expected to jump even further today as it’s a Sunday.
The fact that no Bollywood movie is currently doing well at the box office has also worked in Ved’s favour. Its only competition is the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar: The Way Of Water but it hasn’t affected Ved much.
Also starring Ashok Saraf and Vidyadhar Joshi, Ved is the official Marathi remake of the successful and acclaimed Tamil film Majili. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film starred Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles.

Marking his web series debut as a director, the Prime Video series will be headlined by Sidharth Malhotra. While shooting an action sequence, the actor suffered an injury and was rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad. But the filmmaker took to Instagram to inform his followers that he is doing well and is back on the set.
Rohit Shetty shared a photo with Sidharth Malhotra and Indian Police Force crew from Hyderabad. He has a white bandage on his hand and a sling. He wrote, “Another car topple… but this time with stitches on 2 fingers…. Nothing to worry about, I am absolutely fine… thank you so much for your love and concern…Shooting Indian Police force for Amazon Originals in Hyderabad @primevideoin #indianpoliceforce.”

Sidharth Malhotra shared a video asking Shetty how he was doing, “We have the OG action master here who is back on set after an unfortunate incident.” Rohit returned to the sets in less than 12 hours since the time he got injured. The actor shared the video and wrote, “A true master leads by example. We all know about @itsrohitshetty Sir’s love for action and his passion towards the stunts he directs. Last night while performing a CAR STUNT action piece HIMSELF, he met with an unfortunate accident. After a sleepless night and a minor surgery he’s back on set in less than 12 hours ????. Sir, you are an inspiration to all of us.???? Love n Respect.”

The shoot of the series is happening in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Following several reports, Rohit Shetty’s spokesperson released an official statement that read, “Rohit Shetty has got some minor injury on his fingers while executing an action sequence for his upcoming web series Indian Police Force last night. The injury was immediately treated. And, he resumed his shooting shortly after the incident.”
According to sources, as previously reported by Bollywood Hungama, a huge set has been erected at the iconic Ramoji Film City for the shoot. But that’s not all. This particular schedule is so vital that the makers will be spending as much as Rs. 20 crores on it. As per Shetty’s specialization, there will be car chase sequences too, along with other high-octane action and stunt scenes.
Indian Police Force is the web series debut for both Rohit Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra. The show also stars Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty in pivotal roles. It will premiere on Prime Video India but no date is confirmed yet.

After getting noticed in his debut Love Sex Aur Dhokha and later in Ragini MMS, he delivered a box office hit in the form of Stree. However, his last few theatrical releases haven’t done well at the ticket window.
It seems like Rajkummar has taken note of this. In an interview with Free Press Journal, the actor said that he has now decided to not do films just for friendship. “Sometimes you get emotional as they are friends and you agree to do a film for them,” he said. “But now I have decided not to do this anymore. When I am not there wholeheartedly in a project and I don’t believe in it, I feel that is not good for me and even for the film.”
Rajkummar added that it’s not easy to put in your heart and soul in a film you don’t believe in. “It’s tough and challenging and you have to put in your hundred per cent,” he said. “Because somebody is producing and putting in money into the film, there are so many others who are working hard to make that film and nobody wants to make a bad film. Everyone is trying to make a good film. So you try to contribute your best too but there are days when you realise that this can misfire. I don’t have many friends who are producers and directors.”
Rao was last seen in the Netflix film Monica, O My Darling. Directed by Vasan Bala and also starring Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte, the movie and Rajkummar’s work were well received.
