Entrepreneur Shikha Mittal claims Anil Kapoor helped her keep calm on a turbulent flight; says, “He held my hand and said it’s ok”

Anil Kapoor recently assisted in reducing a fellow traveller’s anxiety. A recent flight passenger who had a cordial interaction with Anil Kapoor has spoken extensively about the incident. Entrepreneur Shikha Mittal uploaded a selfie with Anil Kapoor on LinkedIn and wrote about how he held her hand during turbulence on their journey. 

Shikha Mittal claimed in a social media post that she would never take a selfie with any celebrity in her normal life but felt obliged to do so after Anil Kapoor consoled her during turbulence on the trip. Shikha posted a selfie she took with Anil Kapoor on Instagram and wrote, “I would never take a picture with any celebrity. Even this picture is NOT with Anil Kapoor. It’s with a co-passenger. 2+ hours of uninterrupted conversation.” 

Sharing the topics they discussed, she added, “Part 1 (today) will share the topics we spoke about and how we got talking. Topics: 1. we spoke about anxiety. 2. He asked about my profession and hence we discussed financial planning, retirement plans, money management and writing a will. 3. We discussed movies he plans to do each year. 4. We spoke about Madhuri and Sri Devi. 5. We spoke about Lamhe a not-so-successful movie yet loved by so many. 6. We discussed average and extraordinary people. 7. We discussed luck vs coincidence. 8. We discussed property prices in Mumbai. 9. We talked about fitness. 10. We discussed our common love for coffee.” 

Further revealing how they started to talk, she said, “The moment flight took off, the luggage box above me opened and started flapping. The flight got turbulent right at the take-off. I have always been bad on flights. In 2022, I developed added fears due to a health condition I am going through because of vaccine/covid (cause unknown). The moment I kept my hand on the divider in the middle of the two seats, my co-passenger held my hand and said ‘Hey it’s ok. Tell me your name. Let’s talk’.” 

Shikha revealed that they spoke and laughed for the entire two-hour flight and she didn’t realise when it ended. “If that moment he didn’t speak, I would have never spoken in the interest of keeping his privacy. But those 2 hours I laughed endlessly and it felt like the flight landed a few seconds post taking off. (Pata bhi nahi chala). When it landed, Anil Ji said: ‘a lot of people will tell you anxiety is bad, but today due to your anxiety we both got a chance to talk, and laugh and now maybe you also treat me to a coffee in Delhi’. I smiled, and he hugged me on our way out and said ‘Shikha The Mittal BYE!’”

On Friday, she updated on her social media and shared part 2 of their conversation. She wrote, “Conversation with my co-passenger – Anil Kapoor Part 2. Two hours of uninterrupted conversation! Part 2 

1.The secret of his health! 

Shikha: In your career which movie you enjoyed shooting the most? 

Anil Ji: Yar Menu Jug Jug Jiyo bari pasand hai. 

Shikha: Ye tho aapka recency bias hai. 

Anil Ji: Hai? Ye kya bola tune? Upar se nikal gaya. Wesse tujhe mei bata dun, tu haad se jyada intelligent hai. 

Shikha: Yar mei tho survive kar rahi hun bus. Upar se covid and vaccine ne meri jaan le li hai. Kya karun Intelligence ka. 

Anil Ji: Yar sochna kaam Karde, mujhe dekh highly average Banda hun, hard work pe focus karta hun, mast 1/2 ghanta work-out karta hun, early to bed, early to rise, isliye jhakaas hun aur teri Umar ka lagta hun. 

Shikha: Yar aap na meri papa ki Umaar ke ho. 

Anil Ji: Bari Sayappa (troublemaker) hai tu. 

We laughed and laughed again.!

His belief in luck pushed by hard work! 

Shikha: Zindagi ek co-incidence, Science ya bus luck hai what do you think? 

Anil Ji: Yar luck ka bahut bara role hai. Par mehnat ko duniya mei kuch replace nahi karta. 

Shikha: Mehnat tho mei 13 saal se kar rahi hun, mera luck tho chalta nahi. 

Anil Ji: Yar ache logon ka luck thora time lagake aata hai. Wait kar, patience lose maat kar. Don’t stop believing in yourself. Acha sun, teri seat no 3F hai and meri 3G thi – that’s ahead of you. Woh seat wali didi boli she wants to sit with her father so I came to this seat that is technically her’s na. Abb bata tu lucky hai ki nahi that I get to sit next to you. 

Shikha: Wesse why only I am lucky? You are equally lucky lakhan! 

Anil Ji: Devi Maata Ki Jai ho. 

We ???? and laughed! 

Guess the real mantra of his youthfulness is his trait of taking life easy….”

On the other hand, Anil Kapoor was last seen in JugJugg Jeeyo starring Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. He also has The Night Manager and Animal in pipeline. The actor will also be seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

EXCLUSIVE: Vishal Dadlani recalls how someone thanked him for making Pathaan; Sheykhar Ravjiani has a fun response to it

Known for some of the biggest chartbusters in Hindi cinema, the musical duo of Vishal Dadlani and Sheykhar Ravjiani hit jackpot with Pathaan. Readers, by now, would be aware that the film is doing record-breaking business at the box office and its songs, ‘Besharam Rang’ as well as ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’, which are picturized on Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, have topped the global charts. Describing the feeling, the musician-composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Sheykhar recall moments of how the film’s success have impacted them in this exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama.

Musician-singer Vishal Dadlani described the madness and how love and appreciation are pouring on from all quarters in the society. He told Bollywood Hungama, “This is a legit celebration. In all our careers, we have done so many films and still, we have never seen anything like this. We can say it is some other level of existence.” Sheykhar Ravjiani quipped in,“Bahut zyaada pyaar mila hai (Have received so much love). I think it’s because of Shah Rukh Khan Sir and because of how everyone in the fraternity. And of course, because of the way audiences have been going to the theaters non-stop and celebrating the songs. For us, all of this is a big deal.”

Vishal also recalled an incident where someone expressed their gratitude towards him for making Pathaan and how he had to clarify on it saying that Siddharth Anand made the film. “We were travelling for a show a few days ago. Someone woke me up and thanked me for the film. I said, ‘bhai maine nahi banayi hai picture. Hum log sirf gaane banaye (Bro, I have not made the film. We have just composed the music for the film)’. This has happened for the first time.”

However, Sheykhar joked about it adding, “You should have said humne banayi hai picture. Woh Siddharth Anand hai na, woh music director hai. (We have made the film. That Siddharth Anand is the music director).”

Pathaan featured Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the role of spies with John Abraham as an antagonist. The film is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy-universe and released on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Toy Story, Frozen and Zootopia sequels in the works at Disney

Disney fans can rejoice as the studio recently announced that its beloved animated features like Frozen, Toy Story and Zootopia are getting new sequels! According to Variety, during the company’s earnings call for the year-end 2022 quarter on Wednesday, CEO Bob Iger announced that two new sequels to massive franchises, Toy Story and Frozen, were in development. The announcement came amid 7,000 layoffs and cost-cutting measures that would seek to save the company $5.5 billion, per CBR report.

Additionally, a sequel to animated comedy Zootopia was also announced. Moreover, the CEO also announced that an Avatar Experience will be coming to Disneyland in Anaheim. James Cameron’s Pandora – The World of Avatar is currently located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando offering two rides: “Avatar Flight of Passage” and “Na’vi River Journey.”

Toy Story and Frozen films have been successful franchises for Disney. Toy Story, which has been one of Disney’s roaring projects through the decades, is already a part of both Disneyland in Anaheim and Florida’s Disney World resort.

Meanwhile, smash hit Frozen debuted in 2013 with its sequel, Frozen II hitting theaters in 2019. Additionally, as the report suggests, the Frozen franchise has adapted into a Disney on Ice show, a Broadway musical, several short films, TV specials and books.

Pathaan Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer is now the All-Time Top Bollywood grosser at the U.K, North America, Australia and New Zealand box office

The Siddharth Anand directed film Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham hit screens a while back. Released across 2,500 screens in the overseas market, the Yash Raj Productions venture opening with a bang. Following a good start, the business of Pathaan, which received positive feedback from both the critics and audiences alike, has been seeing a upward trend. Now, after its second weekend running, Pathaan has managed to hold strong with audience continuing to patronize the film.

Like the appreciation Pathaan has received within the domestic market, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has enjoyed a similar fate overseas as well. In fact, Pathaan has managed to climb to the top of the charts across almost all global territories. Thanks to the wide release pattern, massive hype & anticipation for the film, and of course SRK’s ardent fan following, Pathaan has managed to cross the Rs. 400 cr mark at the India box office! If that was not all, looking at the performance of the film within key overseas markets, it comes as no surprise that Pathaan has fast emerged as the box office leader.

Collecting a staggering £ 3,231,197 [Rs. 32.23 cr.] at the UK box office, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has managed to make it past previous releases like Dhoom 3, which had collected £ 2,710,319, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which had collected £ 2,662,115, My Name is Khan, which had collected £ 2,626,809, Dangal, which had collected £ 2,562,527, and PK that had collected £ 2,386,569 amongst others.

Similarly, at the North America box office as well, Pathaan has managed to rake in USD 14,217,018 [117.43 cr.] going past previous big-ticket film Dangal that collected USD 12,357,576, Padmaavat that collected USD 12,156,170,  and PK that collected USD 10,551,836. Besides these Bollywood releases, Pathaan has also managed to surpass the South releases Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion and RRR that had collected USD 20,792,334 and USD 14,296,663 respectively within this market.

Enjoying a similar fate in New Zealand, Pathaan, which drew in NZ$ 1,183,360 [6.19 cr.] has surpassed previous releases like Padmaavat NZ$ 873,552, Tiger Zinda Hai NZ$ 828,511, and Baahubali 2 NZ$ 753,460.

While in Australia, Pathaan that collected A$ 4,052,203 [Rs. 23.27 cr.] has topped the charts surpassing, RRR A$ 3,598,591, KGF – Chapter 2 A$ 3,473,771, Padmaavat A$ 3,163,487, and Dangal A$ 2,623,780.

Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani to be Dharma Productions widest release ever

Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani has shaped into a whammy. Insiders say it is non-stop entertainment with the senior superstars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi giving the young pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt a run for their money.

The film has shaped up so well that Dharma Productions plans to give it the biggest release ever for a Dharma film on July 28. Sources say, the release would be on a par with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. While Dharma’s previous blockbuster Brahmastra was released on approximately 8,000 screens, the number of screens for Rocky Aur Rani…. is expected to go up to 9,000 screens, or even more.”

Roshan Singh, a prominent film exhibitor of Bihar says Dharma and Karan Johar are expected to deliver a sucker-punch. “I am planning to re-open my multiplex property in Patna after twelve years with Karan Johar’s film. We’ve screened practically every film of Dharma Productions. The excitement level among the audience for a film produced by Karan Johar has not lessened. And if it is Karan directing, then …wow! The craze for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is unbelievable. In fact the two most anticipated films of 2023 are Pathaan and Rocky Aur Rani…”
