Swara Bhasker dons her mother’s saree to wedding with Fahad Ahmad, explains the reason behind small ceremony

Following the weddings of Sidharth Malhotra – Kiara Advani and Athiya Shetty – KL Rahul, actress Swara Bhasker took her followers by surprise when she announced that she has registered her marriage to politician Fahad Ahmad on February 16. The actress shared a slew of photos on her social media. She revealed that for the engagement and registering of her marriage, she wore her mother’s saree.

On February 17, Swara Bhasker dropped new photos on her social media handles. She wrote, “So blessed to be supported and cheered by the love of family and friends like family! Wore my mother’s sari & her jewellery.. made @FahadZirarAhmad wear colour and we registered under the #SpecialMarriageAct. Now to prep for shehnaii-wala shaadi.”

In her column on The Week, the actress revealed that she is gearing up for her wedding festivities which will take place next month. She wrote, “I have spent many hours searching destination wedding locations that I know well I can ill-afford; thinking ‘just in case I sign a Hollywood film worth millions of dollars!’ I have been stalking couture collections of various designers for some years now, picking out outfits for my fictional wedding.”

She added, “I decided to do a simple calculation of what this fantasy, Instagram-worthy wedding would cost me. I declared to my father, ‘If I have the ideal wedding that I want, I will step into married life broke and in debt!’”

On the work front, Swara Bhasker was last seen in Jahan Chaar Yaar alongside Pooja Chopra, Meher Vij, and Shikha Talsania.

The Shehzada film’s premiere was hosted in Mumbai on Thursday night by the film’s makers. With their respective families and friends from the film industry, the leading trio of Shehzada, Kartik Aaryan, and Kriti Sanon attended the premier screening event of the movie. Kriti once again appeared in an outfit that had us drooling. Kriti Sanon looked stylish in a mint green coordinated set from Alex Perry’s racks that included a crop top and a pair of high-waisted pants that matched. Kriti’s mint green crop top has a wide neck, structured style, and wide shoulder straps.

She matched her crop top with mint green palazzo trousers with a paper bag waist that are fully pleated and have a belted waist. Together with the high waist, it includes slip pockets on the sides. Kriti’s outfit has a hefty price tag. The price is Rs. 3,67,614. The actress accessorised the outfit with little glam makeup and a pair of white heels. Her well-defined cheekbones, pink lip colour, and delicate kohl-lined eyes made the outfit pop. She brought a set of white hoop earrings for jewellery. She added sass to her appearance by wearing her hair in a ponytail with waves.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada is one of the most awaited films of 2023. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the film is a remake of Allu Arjun’s 2020 Telugu hit, Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo, co-starring Pooja Hegde and Tabu. The masala entertainer also stars Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, Rajpal Yadav and Sachin Khedekar in key roles. Film is slated to hit the theatres on February 17.

Prithviraj Sukumaran shares a laugh with Aamir Khan at a Rajasthan wedding; see photo

Indian celebrities Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Prithviraj Sukumaran among others were seen at the wedding celebrations of the son of K Madhavan, president of The Walt Disney Company India and Star India in Jaipur. The celebrations took place last week and several photos and videos have surfaced online.

On Wednesday, Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a candidate photo of himself with Aamir from the wedding. He wrote in his caption, “Inspiration, idol. Aamir Khan.” The two of them shared a laugh during a conversation. Aamir was dressed in cream kurta whereas Prithviraj wore a grey and golden kurta.

SS Rajamouli says Mayabazar and Braveheart served as inspiration for RRR

SS Rajamouli is enjoying the moment as RRR continues to dominate the award season. The film won a Golden Globe Award for ‘Naatu Naatu’ and the song has been nominated for Oscars 2023. The filmmaker recently revealed that the iconic Telugu film Mayabazar served as an inspiration to make RRR. He further added that Mel Gibson’s Braveheart also inspired him for Bheem’s song.

“For instance, the language that is spoken in Mayabazar is supposed to be from the Mahabharata. The many dramas and films that came before, and many films that came after, use a very bookish language for the characters, because they’re supposed to be either gods or ancient people. In English, it would probably resemble a Shakespearean kind of language. But in Mayabazar, the language that the characters speak is a very present-day, modern Telugu language. I was quite surprised the director had the guts to do that,” Rajamouli told The New Yorker in an interview.

He further added, “There are also several instances in the film where they use words that are not Telugu. They just invented words for comedic effect. That’s quite daring when your film’s story is taken from a classic text like the Mahabharata. Mayabazar features almost all of the stars in the Telugu film industry from that period, and they experimented so much. That was a big inspiration for me when I made RRR, a completely fictionalised story featuring characters based on real people. My confidence to make RRR comes from Mayabazar.”

During the conversation, when asked if he liked The Passion Of Christ by Mel Gibson, he explained, “I didn’t like Passion of the Christ. It was too violent for me, at least at that point in time. I couldn’t watch the film in one sitting. I watched a little, shut it off, waited two or three days, watched a little more. There are some moments that are great, definitely. But, on the whole, not a fan. The climax of Braveheart, not Passion of the Christ, was the inspiration for Bheem’s song in RRR, in the scene where he’s being whipped.”

RRR is a fictional tale of two Indian revolutionaries, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film explores the friendship between Ram and Bheem and their journey away from home during the 1920’s.

You: Trailer for season 4 part 2 teases the return of Joe’s wife Love Quinn; watch video

Netflix surely knows how to keep up the hype! As many have already binge-watched the first five episodes of Season 4, the streaming giant was quick to drop the official trailer for the final episodes of You season 4 part 2 on Wednesday.

The trailer opens with a confrontation between Joe and Ed Speleers’ Rhys where Rhys tells Joe that he simply wants a friend who shares his interests. While Joe claims he’s not some “cold-blooded psycho” in the trailer, the scene swiftly cuts to him digging another grave.

The trailer then cuts to a shocking reveal with the return of Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn, who seemingly died at the end of season three. Yet towards the end of the new trailer, Joe stumbles upon his wife reading Rhys’ novel, “A Good Man in a Cruel World,” calmy sitting in the glass cage where Joe earlier held victims hostage.

“It’s not a whodunit,” showrunner Sera Gamble said about Part 2 in a statement to Tudum. “It’s a different kind of serial killer movie where the guy in the passenger seat is just absolutely gleeful about the position he’s put [Joe] in. [The killer] feels no guilt, no shame and thinks it’s silly that you feel those things.”

“The second half of the season is now going to be very much about the relationship between Joe and Rhys,” said Gamble. “We shift into a different gear when they can finally just sit down and have a long conversation about what’s really going on.”

Part 1 of You season 4 debuted on February 9 and went on to top Netflix’s Top 10 English TV chart during the February 6-12 viewing window. The final five episodes from Part 2 will premiere on March 9 on Netflix.

SCOOP: The real reason why Salman Khan is not doing Ravindra Kaushik Biopic Black Tiger

Salman Khan is among the biggest superstars of all time and every move of his makes it to the headline. During the pandemic time, Salman had confirmed in a media interaction that he was in talks for the official biopic of Indian Spy, Ravindra Kaushik with director Rajkumar Gupta. However, after that, things fizzled out. Now, a source close to Salman tells us the real reason why Bhaijaan is not doing the film.

“Salman Khan is already doing a spy film in the Tiger Franchise which will be growing from strength to strength in the years to come by. He didn’t want to do another spy film, which will lead to a comparison between the two characters. Interestingly, even the legendary Indian spy, Ravindra Kaushik had the code name Tiger, making things even more similar. Hence, after a series of discussions with his team, he let go off Black Tiger,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The rights to make the film were resting with director Rajkumar Gupta. “After confirming with Salman about his involvement in the project, Rajkumar Gupta didn’t renew the rights. They eventually lapsed and were acquired by Anurag Basu. The film will now be made by Anurag Basu, who also has Salman at the back of his mind,” the source further told us.

What about conflict with Tiger? “Anurag Basu’s vision for Ravindra Kaushik is very different from the Tiger franchise. However, he is still not 100 percent sure about the casting of Black Tiger. There is also a chance of him approaching a younger actor to play the lead role. We will have a clear picture on Black Tiger in one month.”

Ravindra Kaushik is the most iconic spy of RAW and the biopic on him is awaited by one and all.
