Sonu Nigam gets attacked in a concert in Mumbai; registers complaint against politician’s son for causing chaos

As per recent reports, Sonu Nigam has been admitted the hospital after a few people caused a major ruckus at his concert in Mumbai. The Padma Shri award-winning singer was performing at a finale of a homegrown festival in Chembur when an MLA’s son and his nephew attacked the stage after they were unable to fulfill their wish of getting a selfie with Nigam. While the security guards try to bring the chaos under control, some of them sustained injuries too.

From what we hear, Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Phaterpekar’s son and nephew was keen on clicking photographs with the singer and was attempting to interrupt the concert while Sonu Nigam was singing on stage. When the bodyguards and security tried to stop him from entering the stage, the matter worsened as he and his team got into a fight with the guards, which resulted in chaos. A video of the same has been doing the rounds on social media. Although Sonu was rushed to the hospital, followed by the incident, it seems that the singer is doing well. However, his close aide, Rabbani Khan (his guru Ghulam Mustafa Khan’s son) and his bodyguard is expected to have sustained a few injuries.

Sonu Nigam reportedly opened up to ANI about the incident saying, ““After the concert, I was coming down from stage when a man Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar held me. Then he pushed Hari & Rabbani who came to save me. Then I fell on steps. I filed a complaint so that people should think about forcefully taking selfies & causing scuffle.”

Recent reports have confirmed Sonu Nigam has filed a complaint with the Mumbai police regarding the incident and a case has been registered against the accused under section 323, 341, 337 of IPC with regards to using physical violence, causing harm and endangering the safety and well-being of others. The police also addressed the media with relation to the case, in which they have asserted that the accused’s name is Swapnil Phaterpekar.

#AskSRK: Shah Rukh Khan says he will decide his next film after the release of Jawan and Dunki

With Pathaan about to complete a month of release already, the fans of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham are celebrating how the film has been received. Pathaan’s collection is staying rock-steady at the box office with Rs. 996 crore gross worldwide. It is inching towards Rs. 1000 crore at the box office worldwide. As the film is inching towards a big milestone, Shah Rukh Khan once again did a Q& session on Twitter and answered some fun questions.

During the session, Shah Rukh Khan said that he hasn’t decided his next projects after his two upcoming films. He said he will only decide after the release of Jawan and Dunki. “Next is Jawan and then Dunki. Post that I haven’t really started listening to scripts yet. Want to sit back and enjoy the release of these two films and then decide,” he tweeted on Monday.

Pathaan released on January 25, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Meanwhile, Jawan is being helmed by Atlee Kumar. It also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. It also has Deepika Padukone’s cameo and is scheduled for June 2023 release. The actor will also star in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film will be releasing on December 2023.

Pathaan: Shah Rukh Khan had written 1700-page document in his journal analyzing action films, says writer Shridhar Raghavan

With Pathaan about to complete a month of release already, the fans of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham are celebrating how the film has been received. It is inching towards Rs. 1000 crore at the box office worldwide. However, writer Shridhar Raghavan reveals that Shah Rukh Khan was very hands-on as an actor and had many ideas for Pathaan.

 

In a conversation with News18, the screenplay writer of Pathaan, Shridhar Raghavan revealed how Shah Rukh Khan was living the character of Pathaan. “We went to Shah Rukh sir very early on and told him about our plan and how we want the character to shape. Thereafter, he brought more layers into it. If we brought twenty per cent to the script, he brought about eighty per cent to it. A lot of the vulnerability, humour and self-effacing trait in the character was brought in by him,” he said.

Apart from playing the lead role, SRK also made contributions in terms of character storytelling for his squad too. “He contributed a lot to the idea of a squad of people who aren’t allowed to be a part of the service anymore – JOCR. He told us that these people need not be so tough. In War (2019), the character played by Tiger (Shroff; actor) had a slight eye defect, which was crucial in the plotting. Keeping that in mind, Shah Rukh sir told us that such people can come together and form a squad,” Raghavan said.

“The humour and the idea of how Pathaan talks came from him. He also added layers and gave inputs on the scene where he’s at a hospital after failing a mission and is injured. He’s also heavily into action and so, he gave lots of suggestions pertaining to the action bits,” he added.

Turns out, Shah Rukh Khan was also making notes in his journal and had his own analyses of action films which also helped the makers with the plot and action sequences. “I hadn’t worked with Shah Rukh sir earlier. We all think of him as a romantic hero or a boy next door. But he knows the genre of action, inside and out. He had written a 1700-page document which was a study and analysis of the genre. It was a fun document,” he stated.

Pathaan released on January 25, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

“I saw that film probably 20 times in the theatre” – Ranbir Kapoor on how Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raj’ from DDLJ shaped him as a romantic film hero

Ranbir Kapoor, who is back on-screen as the quintessential romantic hero in the much-awaited Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, says Raj from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) has inspired him to play charming lover boys in cinema, having seen the iconic film at least 20 times!

“Raj was everything! You know, he could do anything! I think Aditya Chopra gave us a character, that was aspirational, he was naughty, he was charming, like it shook you up! I know I saw that film probably 20 times in the theatre!” reveals Ranbir, who has won the country’s heart in cult romantic films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Rockstar, Tamasha, to name a few.

DDLJ is the longest-running film in the history of Indian cinema as it still plays at Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. Kareena Kapoor Khan was supposed to be paired opposite Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor instead of Sumeet Vyas in Veere Di Wedding

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most popular stars in the country. The actress, who is a mother of two, worked through her first pregnancy. This also led to the delay in kicking off, Veere Di Wedding which starred Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. Turns out, not Sumeet Vyas, but popular Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor was supposed to be paired opposite Kareena.

Rhea Kapoor brought Fawad Khan to the film industry and it seems like she wanted to introduce another fresh face in the films who was already a heartthrob in Pakistan. In a recent conversation, Danish Taimoor revealed that the actor was supposed to be a part of the film but due to Kareena’s pregnancy, the film was delayed and the rising tension between the two nations also put a stop for actors to work in Bollywood. During his chat on The Talk Talk Show with Hassan Choudary, the actor said, “We didn’t reveal it because we were too excited, (I, and Ayeza Khan [his wife, actor]), we were ecstatic. I was also given the dates by the production house, and they had finalized me and Javed Sheikh. When the first scene of the film was to be shot in Thailand, Kapoor announced her pregnancy which caused an inevitable delay followed by the escalation from both India and Pakistan.”

Produced by Rhea Kapoor and helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, Veere Di Wedding released in 2018.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan. The film released on August 11, 2022, and arrived on Netflix on October 6, 2022. She has wrapped the Indian adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X with Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

The actress has also wrapped the shoot for Hansal Mehta’s next. With this film, the actress turns producer for the first time. The project will be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Hansal Mehta. Ekta and Kareena Kapoor Khan previously teamed up on the comedy, Veere Di Wedding in 2018. Reports also state that Kareena Kapoor Khan has signed a project, which will also star Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The makers are yet to confirm their movie.

On the other hand, Danish Taimoor has been popularly known for his Urdu drama serials including Meri Behen Maya, Sari Bhool Humari Thi, Deewangi, and Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi among others. He will next star in Chand Tara with his wife-actor Ayeza Khan.

Actors Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Neetu Kapoor were in attendance to celebrate the baby shower of Armaan Jain’s wife Anissa Malhotra on Sunday. Armaan is Kareena’s aunt Rima Jain’s son. It was an intimate ceremony with family and close friends in attendance.

A few photos were shared of Alia, Kareena, Neetu and Natasha Nanda. Kareena was seen donning a green pastel salwar suit as she posed with Anissa and wrote, “With the gorgeous mamma to be.” Navya Naveli Nanda was also present and shared photos of her look. Kapoors, Jains and Nandas had a great Sunday celebrating Armaan and Anissa.

Creed III will release in cinemas across India on March 3, 2023.

The 2023 NBA All-star Game was played at Vivint Arena (the home of the Utah Jazz) on 18th February 2023, the 30th anniversary of the first All-Star held in Salt Lake City.
