Happy Birthday Shraddha Kapoor: She is the third MOST FOLLOWED Indian on Instagram; Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar to LARGELY benefit thanks to her casting

Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F and Jyotika starrer SRI to release on September 15

T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films’ upcoming drama SRI is all set to release on 15 September this year. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar, the film is the biopic of the visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The film marks south actress Jyotika’s return to Bollywood after a long hiatus.

Sharing more about the Tushar Hiranandani directorial venture, an official statement from the makers said, “Written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit, pictured by Pratham Mehta, SRI is a biopic of an industrialist Srikanth Bolla, who didn’t let his visual impairment come in the way of his vision and founded Bollant Industries.”

Speaking about his excitement to back SRI, Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, had earlier said, “Srikanth Bolla’s story testifies the very proverb of acing against the odds. Having faced so many challenges since birth, yet not letting anything hamper his dreams – his journey is truly inspirational. And it’s indeed a privilege to be associated with a person like him. The personality of this character is such that only an actor of a calibre like Rajkummar Rao can justify it and we are happy to have such a fine actor on board. Tushar Hiranandani’s vision to showcase this captivating story is very peculiar. As we are thrilled to make this film, we are equally excited for the audiences to witness this compelling story of Srikanth!”

Rajkummar was last seen in Vasan Bala’s Monica, O My Darling, which also starred Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte and Sikandar Kher. He then played a cameo in the Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya. He reprised his character Vicky from Stree in the horror comedy.

BTS’ J-Hope unveils first music video teaser of ‘on the street’ featuring American rapper J.Cole, watch

BTS’ resident rapper-songwriter-producer j-hope will kick off March 2023 with a new single ‘on the street’. Set to release on March 3, the single will mark his first collaboration with American record producer and rapper J.Cole. The announcement was officially made via the first music video teaser.

The teaser sees j-hope walking down streets of New York City as he meets J.Cole as the official collaboration gets confirmed. ‘on the street’ is a lo-fi hip-hop track with easy-listening melody and warm-hearted lyrics. j-hope participated in the songwriting of the song which delivers a hopeful message and warmth that reminds listeners of his positive and bright energy.

The key motif of the track comes from the word ‘street’ which can be interpreted as a place where many people’s everyday lives pass by—a metaphor for life. It comes from ‘street dance,’ the genre that represents j-hope’s roots as an artist, and it also symbolizes the path that he will continue to take with his fans around the world.

j-hope has often regarded J.Cole as an artist he always looked up to. J. Cole was one of the headliners at Lollapalooza US in 2022 and j-hope met him backstage during the four-day festival where the South Korean rapper was also the headliner.

‘On the street’ is set to be revealed on March 3 along with a music video. Last year, j-hope also validated his capability as a creative director by leading all aspects—from music to concept and visual elements—of his solo album, Jack In The Box (July 2022), which addresses his passion and agony he goes through as an artist. In 2022, j-hope made history as the first South Korean act to headline a main stage at Lollapalooza.

Gaiety Galaxy’s Manoj Desai slams Akshay Kumar for visiting Kapil Sharma’s show for promotions amid box office failure; says Jab We Met’s re-release earned more than Selfiee

After Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu, Akshay Kumar’s fifth movie Selfiee has failed at the box office in a row. As many have spoken about the actor’s failure at the box office, veteran film exhibitor and producer Manoj Desai of Gaiety Galaxy and Maratha Mandir fame has said that he had to discontinue the movie after two days due to lack of demand.

Speaking to Filmi Fever, Desai said, “Selfiee toh udd gayi pehle do-teen din mein. Aap pehle choosy they. Aapki sab filmein dekh dekh ke itni khushi hoti thi. Bahut dukh ho raha hai mujhe. Public gaali deke jaati hai mujhe Selfiee ki wajah se. Jo mere jaan ne waale hain woh keh rahe hain ki, ‘Kya Desai saahab picture lagayi Selfiee ussey achcha toh Shahid-Kareena ki Jab We Met laga dete achcha collection de rahi hai.’ Selfiee se achcha collection 16 saal purani picture Jab We Met de rahi hai, aapko sochna chahiye aap kahaan hain.”

He added, “Woh s**le Kapil Sharma ke show me aap parso gaye the, kya mila? Ullu ka patha hai wo toh, usko kamaana hai, Sony se maal milta hai. Public ko bewakoof banana hai, public ko hasana hai! Aap kya ghadi ghadi udhar jaa rahe hai? Aapka kuch usme investment hai? Wo toh Salman Khan ka show hai. Aap kya jaate hai Kapil ke sath? Mere dosto meri public ne kitna bola hai Akshay Kumar ji ghadi ghadi us show pe jaate hai, unko shobha deta hai? Ab mai aapko puchta hu, aapko shobha deta hai?”

The Gaiety Galaxy executive director said that Kapil Sharma has invited him three times to his show. “Kabhi tumhari tareef karta hai, kabhi kachra karta hai. Ye aapko shobha deta hai? Kamaal kar rahe ho, kya ho gaya hai? What is wrong with you?” he questioned Akshay Kumar.

Selfiee opened to Rs. 2.55 crore collection on February 24 and collected Rs. 10.35 crore in its opening weekend.
