Netflix announces new seasons of She, Mismatched, Kota Factory, Delhi Crime, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives and Class

Netflix has confirmed the return of 6 fan-favourite series: Season 3 of She, Mismatched, Kota Factory, Delhi Crime, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives and Season 2 of Class.

Tanya Bami, Series Head, Netflix India said, “Since 2021, our series have consistently delivered on entertaining our audiences. Breakout hits like Khakee, Class, Mismatched, Trial by Fire, Delhi Crime and more have all been watched and loved. Madam Sir, to the Bollywood Wives and of course, every student’s very own Jeetu Bhaiya (from Kota Factory) have become household names in India and that speaks volumes about the strength and quality of our stories and the impact they have had on our viewers. Our audiences expect a level of quality so for them to connect and invest in the storylines in the way that they have means that we’ve done our job well. It’s so exciting to build on these shows with the returning seasons and to contribute towards the growing list of Netflix’s global hit series, while at the same time receiving fan love across India. MISMATCHED
Dimple and Rishi will be coming back with Mismatched season 3. The adaptation of the book ‘When Dimple met Rishi’ has proven to be widely popular with fans in India and around the world. The light-hearted rom-com, Mismatched S2, was on Netflix’s Top 10 in TV in 9 countries including India, UAE, Qatar, and Sri Lanka, among others. The trailer of season 2 garnered over 30 million views post its launch on September 21st, 2022.

SHE
A third season of She is currently in development. In the first two seasons, the thrilling crime-drama revolved around the life of a timid police constable and how she evolved into a strong, confident woman who realises her dormant sexuality’s potential. Season 2 was in the Top 10 in TV in 11 countries including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, UAE, among others.

THE FABULOUS LIVES OF BOLLYWOOD WIVES
The ever-popular reality series, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which gave our members in India and across the world a glimpse into the glamorous life of these wives, will return for a third season. Season 2 trended Top 10 in TV in 7 countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, among others.

KOTA FACTORY
We will welcome a third season of Kota Factory, a story of an earnest but unexceptional student and his friends navigating campus life. The story is set in Kota, a city of coaching centres known to train India’s finest collegiate minds. Season 2 was trending in Top 10 in India in TV for the first 4 weeks of its release.

DELHI CRIME
A third season of the popular and gripping true crime series has been confirmed. The series delves into real investigations undertaken by Delhi police. In 2020, Netflix series Delhi Crime won India’s first International Emmy for best drama series. The season 2 of the series was in Top 10 in TV in 11 countries including India such as Singapore, Bangladesh, Mauritius, among others. The trailer of S2 also garnered over 39 million views post its launch on August 8th, 2022.

CLASS
Netflix’s latest series Class launched in February this year. Class featured in the global Top 10 and was trending in Top 10 in TV in 13 countries such as Kenya, UAE, Qatar, Maldives, among others. The series has been confirmed to return for a second season.

Ranbir Kapoor hopes Raha does not have Alia’s personality; says, “Alia is a very loud personality”

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor tied knot with Alia Bhatt in a close-knit wedding. The couple embraced parenthood and welcomed their daughter Raha last year. In a recent interview, Ranbir opened up on not wanting his daughter’s personality to be like Alia as he could not handle two loud personalities.

The actor, who has two movies out this year, i.e., Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Animal, has mentioned taking a break after the second movie to evaluate his position in the business. Ranbir stated that he has not signed on for any other projects. It appears that the actor is hoping to spend time with his daughter Raha as she gets older and has stopped hunting for new films to sign on to.

Ranbir while addressing Alia told GOODTiMES, “I hope [Raha] looks like you. She’ll be a nicer looking person if she looks like you. I just hope she has my personality and not your personality because I can’t have two… Alia is a very loud personality, talks and she’s very vivacious. Two girls at home like this would be quite a daunting task for me. I hope Raha is a bit more quiet and demure like me so then we both can handle Alia.”

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor released today. The film is directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Bhushan Kumar. Ranbir also has Animal in the pipeline alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Shah Rukh Khan says Yash Chopra became very emotional during Jab Tak Hai Jaan: ‘He kind of started crying’

Netflix docu-series The Romantics, which is a tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra, YRF and its cultural impact on India and Indians for the past 50 years, released on February 14. Shah Rukh Khan, who shared an incredible relationship with Yash Chopra and called him a father figure in his life, reveals how he said no to Aditya Chopra to sign Jab Tak Hai Jaan, directed by Adi’s father Yash Chopra!

SRK, who collaborated with Yash Chopra on cult blockbusters like Darr, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, says, “I remember he had started speaking a lot more. ‘I am not doing a film. This is my last picture’ Yash ji used to say. Jab Tak Hain Jaan was actually a film which I chose over a film Adi had offered me. I said no (to Adi)! if Yashji is making a film, I’ll be a part of that.”

SRK recounts how Yash Chopra became emotional during the shoot of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, his last directorial. He says, “We were shooting in Ladakh and in really difficult conditions. He was the coolest of us all. I was shivering to death. I was doing a shot in Kashmir, but then he came and said ‘yaar teri picture khatam ho gayi’. I said ‘kya bol rahein ho aap?’ He said ‘last shot hain, bas. Ab toh kuch raha nahi. Picture khatam’.”

SRK adds, “And he (Yash Chopra) became very emotional. Then he kind of started crying. He said this could be our last shot. I said why last shot? So, he said no there are no more shots left of you. I said yeah, but we’ll make the next one. He said yeah… last hain yaar. Last shot hain.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in Jawan, helmed by Atlee. The project also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. It is scheduled for June 3, 2023 release. He also has Dunki with Rajkumar Hirani, set for December 2023 release.

Luv Ranjan reveals why Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn starrer action drama didn’t work out: ‘The idea was to do a Salim-Javed kind of dialogue oriented film’

Ranbir Kapoor has kicked off 2023 with the release of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, today. The film, helmed by Luv Ranjan, stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite him. While this marks his return to the rom-com genre after seven years, the actor was earlier supposed to do an action drama with Ranjan, starring Ajay Devgn. However, the dates are the reason, the film just couldn’t happen and instead, Ranbir went with this script.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Luv Ranjan said, “I wanted to do an action film with Ranbir because I thought it would be a great idea to see him do it. He had never done it. It wasn’t just an action film. It was an action drama. I think it would be wonderful to see him do that; to make him play that hero. The idea was to do a Salim-Javed kind of dialogue oriented film. The wish was to make that film but it didn’t work out because of dates.”

He added, “Around that time, we randomly discussed about this (Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar) idea. We had discussed many ideas. Not just a couple but 8 to 10 different ideas. When we figured out that this film (action-drama with Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor) could not happen because of dates,  I just happened to ask him (Ranbir Kapoor) if we could do that (Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar) and he said, ‘Ya’.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will next star in Animal, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It releases in August, this year. He has Brahmastra 2 starting towards the end of the year.

Sushmita Sen resumes workout after surviving heart attack: ‘Cleared by my cardiologist’

Sushmita Sen is on the road to recovery. The actress survived a ‘very big’ heart attack recently. Now, she is back to working out and getting in shape. The Aarya actress took to her Instagram account on Tuesday to inform her ways that she has been cleared by her cardiologist to work out.

In the caption of her post, Sushmita Sen wrote, “#wheeloflife cleared by my cardiologist stretching begins!!! What a feeling!!! #oneweek #slowandsteady #breathe This is my “Happy Holi”…how was yours? I love you guys!!!”

Earlier this month, Sushmita Sen informed her followers about her heart attack. She shared a photo with her father and wrote, “I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back…Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart’.”

“Lots of people to thank for their timely aid & constructive action…will do so in another post! This post is just to keep you (my well-wishers & loved ones) informed of the good news …that all is well & I am ready for some life again!!!” the actress added.

“I survived a very big heart attack. It was very big. 95 percent blockage in the main artery,” she said and added, “It was a phase and it passed”.

On the work front, Sushmita Sen has Aarya 3 and a movie Taali which is based on the life of transgender activist Gauri.

Zendaya in a skimpy animal print co-ord at Louis Vuitton’s star-studded Paris Fashion Week show deserves every ounce of attention

The Paris Fashion Week has begun. Models are worn out, fashion editors are swamped with reviews to write, influencers have taken their power to new heights, and celebs are yearning for a day at home in their tracksuits. Yet as the month of fashion draws to a close, what a way to go out with the City of Lights. On Wednesday, Paris Fashion Week began in earnest, promising a thrilling seven-day programme of the biggest names in fashion history showcasing their most recent creations. Given that the French capital is regarded as the fashion capital of the world and that iconic couture brands like Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Chanel were created there, it comes as no surprise that a star-studded crowd flocked to the city to witness the emergence of a new era in high-end fashion. There are a few well-known celebrities we always look forward to seeing at a Louis Vuitton show, including the brand ambassadors and steadfast Nicolas Ghesquière faves Deepika Padukone, Alicia Vikander, Sophie Turner, and Léa Seydoux but Zendaya was the surprise guest, showing up with longtime stylist Law Roach.

At Paris Fashion Week on Monday, Zendaya attracted attention as she arrived at the Louis Vuitton show at the Musée d’Orsay. With a bikini top and skimpy miniskirt, the 26-year-old actress showed off her stunning frame in an animal print coordinated outfit. This tiger suit, though, is unlike anything you’d see at a costume shop or on a team mascot; it’s stylish, seductive, and edgy all at once. A two-piece blazer and small short suit were part of Zendaya’s interpretation of the tiger pattern. The set’s textured fabric is meant to resemble tiger fur, and the collar and pockets have leather lining with big, vintage-style gold and black buttons. Zendaya wore the jacket open and simply a black bralette underneath while accessorising the shorts with a black leather belt.

Even while the suit alone is outstanding, Zendaya elevated it by pairing it with a pair of knee-high stiletto boots. The actress matched her little gold earrings with her two stacked gold necklaces by carrying a Louis Vuitton purse. Her hair was blown out and curled at the ends, and she wore natural makeup. Before taking her place in the front row, she smiled for the camera while carrying her necessities in a bag made by the upscale brand.
