Jr NTR joins Hrithik Roshan in War 2

The ambitious spy universe of YRF is all set to get pan India in terms of casting. As per current reports, joining the world would be none other than RRR fame Jr NTR. The actor is expected to cast alongside Hrithik Roshan in War 2. While readers would be aware that the sequel to the action entertainer has always been on the cards, it seems that Aditya Chopra has now decided to tap into the South market and has decided to add some renowned names from the film industry to add to the Pan India appeal.

As per recent reports, a trade source was quoted saying, “Yes, it’s absolutely correct information. NTR Jr. is locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in War 2 and it’s going to be an epic action adventure. Their battle of wits and the fierce showdown will be an action spectacle worth experiencing on the big screen. War 2 is now a true-blue Pan India film with top superstars from the Northern and Southern industry. The move by Aditya Chopra enables War 2 to have the widest audience appeal for a Hindi Film and also amped up the box office potential of the film. The Southern market should come alive and connect at an even bigger level due to the presence of their beloved young tiger – NTR Jr.”

From what we hear, it seems that Jr NTR is on the verge of giving a nod to the film. However, details of his role etc. are currently being kept under wraps.

Coming to the franchise, the recent addition to it was Pathaan. With Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, audiences are also gearing up for another release Tiger 3 that features Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as well as Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist. War 2 is expected to kick off from where Tiger 3 has ended.

Not Siddharth Anand, Ayan Mukerji to direct Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2

It’s happening! Hrithik Roshan will return as the slick spy Kabir in Yash Raj Films’ War 2. However, instead of War director Siddharth Anand, YRF has roped in Ayan Mukerji to take over the sequel. This development comes after the filmmaker announced the sequels to Brahmastra which will release in 2026 and 2027, simultaneously.

Interestingly, after Bang Bang and War, Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan are already working on their third collaboration, which is Fighter. The film stars Pathaan actress Deepika Padukone. So, this development of Ayan Mukerji coming onboard to helm YRF’s blockbuster spy sequel has come as a surprise to the fans.

According to a report in Peeping Moon, a trade source said, “Aditya Chopra is choosing the captain of the ship for each YRF Spy Universe film strategically. Ayan has delivered big hits which appeal to all audience segments and has the pulse of Indian audiences. He has shown that he knows how to mount a film on a huge scale, which is essential for someone to direct War 2. Plus, he is a young filmmaker who can bring a different kind of newness to the Spy Universe. Ayan will have his unique take on how to make an epic action spectacle with War 2. Aditya Chopra trusts him to take the franchise forward. Ayan directing War 2 is probably the most exciting announcement of recent times. All eyes on him to make the franchise and the YRF Spy Universe bigger.”

A few hours ago, Ayan Mukerji also revealed that he will be helming another exciting project apart from Brahmastra sequels which left the fans wondering what it could be before the War 2 news was out. YRF is yet to confirm the news. War 2 will follow the events of Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 which releases on Diwali 2023.

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand’s Fighter with Deepika Padukone is set for January 25, 2024

Ayan Mukerji announces Brahmastra 2 and 3 to release in December 2026 and 2027 respectively: ‘I have decided that we are going to make the two films together’

Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt released in the theatres on September 9, 2022. While the visual spectacle collected Rs. 257.44 cr in India, the film is the first installment in the Ayan Mukerji-directed trilogy. Mukerji has now announced that the film will be shot simultaneously and will release in 2026 and 2027. The magnum opus continues with Brahmāstra Part Two: Dev and Brahmāstra Part: Three are set to hit the big screen in December 2026 and 2027 respectively!

On Tuesday, April 4, Ayan Mukerji confirmed that Brahmastra 2 and 3 will release in 2026 and 2027, respectively. In a long note, he said, “Hi The Time has come – for some updates on the Brahmastra Trilogy, the Astraverse, and my Life! After absorbing all the love and the feedback on Part One… I have been focused on creating the Vision for Part Two and Part Three -which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than Part One! I have learnt that we need a little more time to perfect the script of Brahmastra Two and Three!”

But that’s not all! The director also revealed that he will be helming another exciting project, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more details. He added, “And…I have decided that we are going to make the two films… Together! Allowing them to also release closer together! I have a timeline in place to achieve this, which I am sharing with you all today! ik I also have another piece of news to share… The Universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently – a very special movie – to step into and direct! What the movie is… More on that when the time is right An opportunity that challenges me and terribly excites me… one where I will learn, be inspired and where I will grow! So, I have decided to take it up!! Opening myself up to all the positive energies in this universe so I can do my best and contribute to that one thing that matters most to me – Indian Cinema!”

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee celebrate their first born Lianna’s first birthday; watch

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, who welcomed their first daughter Lianna last year, celebrated her first birthday in the cutest way possible. Debina, who also loves to share vlogs and reels on social media, took to the platform to give a glimpse of the fun celebrations. Besides sharing a few photos of Lianna enjoying the cake and special moments with the family, Debina and Gurmeet also posted videos from the private cake cutting ceremony as well as a special bash that was planned for their daughter.

In the first birthday post shared by Debina Bonnerjee, she wrote, “And like that she turns 1.. Since the time that you have come into our lives, there never has been a dull moment …” Followed by that, she and Gurmeet Choudhary shared a video of their small birthday celebration where their daughter Lianna was dressed in a lovely white frock and was seen posing with a cake with a topper that read ‘One’.

Harrison Ford starrer Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny to have world premiere at Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2023

Indiana Jones will return to the Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of Lucasfilm’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, starring Harrison Ford as the legendary hero archaeologist and directed by James Mangold on Thursday, May 18. The highly anticipated final installment of the beloved franchise–a big, globe-trotting, rip-roaring cinematic adventure—will screen out of the competition.

James Mangold said, “In 1995, I was honoured to come to Cannes with my first film as part of Director’s Fortnite. Twenty-eight years later, I am proud to return with a slightly larger spectacle. My legendary collaborators and I are very excited to share a brand new and final Indiana Jones adventure with you!”

Starring along with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore and Mads Mikkelsen. Directed by James Mangold, the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, has once again composed the score.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will open in theatres on June 30 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan lives her teenage and young-adult fantasies after meeting Nick Jonas and Kat Graham, see pics

Aamir Khan and his family had a gala time at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) launch in Mumbai. The Ambani family hosted a two-day event which saw the presence of big names in Bollywood and Hollywood. Amongst them was Nick Jonas, who arrived in India with his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas and daughter Malti Marie. Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan really lived her teenage and young-adult fantasies by meeting Nick and actress Kat Graham.

Nick Jonas has been a part of the famous band Jonas Brothers since his childhood and recently reunited in 2019. Kat Graham played the pivotal role of the witch Bonnie Bennett in the supernatural series The Vampire Diaries. In the caption of her post, she tagged her fiance Nupur Shikhare and wrote, “My teenage fantasies, my young-adult fantasies and then my real-life fantasy. Nupur, you’re it. I know you know but just wanted to make sure.”

Singer Lisa Mishra commented on her post saying, “Omg dude I once stood in line for 11 hours in -10C to shake his [Nick Jonas’] hand… Teenage me was WILD.”
