Anurag Kashyap and Sunny Leone…how on earth did this collaboration happen?
Anurag Sir (Kashyap) called me for an audition to see if I would play this character called Charlie. I was very nervous, as I had not been to too many auditions before and I tried to get as much information on my character as I could. Then I was at the audition, little did I know that the director’s entire office would be attending the audition: the Ads, the production team.
You must have been terrified?
Raahul (actor Rahul Bhat) was also there. That made it even more nerve-wracking. I tried my very best, gave my audition. And they all liked it! I was so surprised. I worked hard to listen carefully to what they needed in this film, and it seems to have worked.
Anurag Kashyap is known to be quite a terror on the sets. What was it like for you?
Anurag Sir is not a terror at all. He is one of the nicest kindest persons I’ve ever known; especially on the set he gives all the attention and love to everyone, whether it is the technicians or actors. He definitely is NOT a terror on the sets. He is a pleasure to work with. I enjoyed every minute of the experience. I hope I get to work with him again.
How did you manage to pacify three demanding children while working long hours for Kennedy?
As far as time management goes, my children have reached an age where I can have detailed conversations with them on how and when Mommy has to work, Daddy has to work, and that they need to be understanding, and that all the things they have in their lives is because Mom and Dad work. Luckily for me, all the shooting of Kennedy happened during the night.
So Mommy could sneak out to work while the children were asleep?
That’s right! I got to spend time with them after they got home from school and in the mornings. So that was nice. My children are really understanding. I think it comes down to being honest with then. Daniel and I never lie to our kids. When we say we’re going to be home, we’re home. There’s no last-minute change in plans when it comes to the kids. Our children know the value of quality time and can tell the difference between quality and quantity.
What have the last three traumatic years taught you?
What I’ve learnt is, anything can happen anytime. You just have to keep working hard. The entire Indian entertainment has changed, for the better. There are more work opportunities for all of us now.
Do you like putting challenges for yourself?
This role in Kennedy is very very difficult. Anurag Kashyap Sir is so special. And I’ve worked very very hard. Throughout my life and career, I have tried not to compromise with anything. And the choices I’ve made are all mine. The fact that I got to go on an audition and I got the role was like a school-pass.
You mean you felt like a student passing your exam?
Yes, I got the role in Kennedy on merit alone. It was nothing else. And I am very happy that today I am an Anurag Kashyap heroine. I wouldn’t change anything because I got here, to Kennedy, on the strength of all my past experiences.
Your life has been stormy…..
Yes, my life has been stormy(laughs). But there has been a lot of sunshine as well. I won’t take anything away from my journey. For the parts which have not been so great, yeah it can be very difficult. But I don’t think I want to change anything.
Off to Cannes now, what plans?
Yes, I am going to be off to Cannes. I’ve no idea about how it’s going to be, who’s going to do my clothes, my hair, where are we going, what will be doing, would we be seeing other films at Cannes…It’s all very new to me. I know we will meet interesting people, but how we will meet them, what we will say…it’s a haze right now.
What after Kennedy?
I have two South films coming up that I’m very proud of. It does look like an exciting year ahead.

Megastar Shah Rukh Khan, who recently gave a blockbuster with Pathaan, was recently seen doing a photo shoot with his family. It was for Gauri Khan’s coffee table book and they had come together for family portraits. She announced her book back on March 26. Now, more unseen photos have been released on social media.
Shah Rukh, Gauri, Suhana Khan, Aryan and AbRam wore black and white coordinated outfits. The family was all smiles as fans called them “Pathaan family”. The brothers twinned with their father in terms of the colour of the outfits with leather jackets.

Meanwhile, recently, Shah Rukh Khan was included in Time magazine’s annual 100 Most Influential People of 2023. The actor is in the list of Icons for the year 2023 which includes stars like Pedro Pascal, Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan, Doja Cat, Ke Huy Quan and Jennifer Coolidge among others. SRK’s Pathaan co-star Deepika Padukone penned a note for him and called him a ‘phenomenon’.

Suniel Shetty went down memory lane and shared a throwback picture of him along with son-in-law KL Rahul. The picture was taken during Athiya and Rahul’s wedding. In the picture, Suniel can be seen putting tikka on Rahul’s forehead. Sharing the picture, Suniel wrote in caption, “Blessed to have you in our lives …Happy birthday baba @klrahul @athiyashetty.”

Soon after he shared the post, fans and close ones poured their love in the comments section. KL Rahul dropped a heart and evil eye amulet emoticon in the comments. Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul tied knot in a small ceremony at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. The duo’s simplicity and chemistry as a couple left online users in awe.
Earlier, Suniel Shetty had lauded his son-in-law KL Rahul in an interview. He told ETimes, “I am a proud father. Athiya is blessed. Ahan is blessed; he gets to learn from KL who is so calm and respectful.” He also added, “I was aware that Athiya and KL were seeing each other. KL comes from a place, which is 3 km from my hometown. Mangalorean boy. It’s a match made in heaven and perhaps manifested by Suniel Shetty.”
On the work front, Shetty made his OTT debut last year with Dharavi Bank for MX Player. Directed by Samit Kakkad, the web series saw him play a gangster from Mumbai with Vivek Oberoi essaying the role of a cop. His latest web series Hunter – Tootega Nahin Todega released recently on Amazon miniTV.
Shetty will be next seen in Hera Pheri 4, reuniting with co-stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Rawal had earlier shared that the film’s shoot will begin in three months and the trio of Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiyya, will travel abroad for the third film.

On Tuesday, Ileana D’Cruz took to Instagram and shared two pictures for announcing the big news. She posted images of a baby romper with the words “And so the adventure begins” printed on them following a “mama” pendant. Sharing the pictures, she wrote in caption, “Coming soon. Can’t wait to meet you my little darling.”

The post quickly garnered a lot of attention from Ileana’s fans and followers, who flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages and well wishes for the actress. Ileana’s mom Samira D’Cruz commented on her post, “Welcome soon to the world my new grand baby can’t wait.” Reacting to the post, a fan commented, “Omg congratulations Ileana!!!” while another user wrote, “I am soo happy for you….may god bless you both.” However, netizens also questioned the actress who the father was. Several users speculated Andrew Kneebone who the actress had previously dated.
Ileana had been in a relationship with Australian photographer Andrew Kneebone for a long time, but the couple had mostly kept their relationship private. However, they were reported to have broken up in 2019. Most recently, she was said to be dating Sebastian Kaif, Katrina Kaif’s brother. She travelled to the Maldives with Katrina last year for her birthday. However, there was no confirmation on this.

Kubbra Sait became widely known after her performance in Sacred Games (2008). She then appeared in several films and web series, including Apple TV+’s international show Foundation (2021). However, not many know about her journey before Sacred Games. She opened up about it in her autobiography, ‘Open Book: Not Quite A Memoir’ and also revealed how Sonu Sood helped her during her early days in Mumbai.
Kubbra Sait stated in the book that she used to work for Microsoft in Dubai and in November 2008, she decided to head to Mumbai for a photoshoot. She was all set to go when she heard about the 26/11 attacks. In panic, she cancelled the ticket and informed photographer Munna S about it. Munna, however, insisted that she shouldn’t cancel her trip. He advised her, “Nothing stops here. Tu ruki, to peechey chhoot jayegi.” Kubbra said that she saw merit in his viewpoint and re-booked the ticket though she had to pay double the price.
In another chapter of the book, she wrote about how she got acquainted with Munna S, one of the top photographers at that time. This was possible thanks to Sonu Sood. She had worked with him in an Emirati film, City Of Life (2009), which also starred Sonu. Sonu asked Munna S to do Kubbra Sait’s photoshoot and also requested him to give her a discount.
Sonu Sood’s plea worked as Munna S gave her a steep 55% discount, but with conditions. Kubbra Sait wrote, “I am telling you, connections work everywhere. From a steep Rs. 1 lakh for sixteen photos, Munna said he would be happy to shoot ten photos for Rs. 45,000.”
The photoshoot was done and a week later, she received the photos. However, she said that her pictures were photoshopped. Kubbra wrote, “My waist was more tapered, my cleavage was also a bit enhanced, and my skin was clear.”
