BTS’ SUGA is out for blood in a climactic teaser of ‘Haegeum’ from D-DAY, watch video

Pop titans BTS’ SUGA unveiled the teaser of his lead track ‘Haegeum‘ from his upcoming first official solo album D-DAY under his another moniker Agust D. Following the release pre-release track ‘People Pt.2 (feat. IU)’ and concept photos, the musician is gearing up for his solo album release.

The teaser seems like a follow-up to ‘Daechwita‘ from D-2 but is set in the modern world. It seems his character Agust D is out for blood in the climactic teaser. The main track “Haegeum” uses the sound of the Korean traditional string instrument, haegeum, which was also used in “Daechwita” from his previous mixtape D-2.

D-DAY marks the finale of Agust D’s trilogy following his two previous mixtapes Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020). SUGA took part in the overall songwriting and producing of the album. Ahead of the album release, SUGA released a pre-release track from the album on April 7. The song titled ‘People Pt. 2‘ is a collaboration with singer-actress IU. This marked their second collaboration.

Apart from that, he is also gearing up for SUGA: Road to D-DAY documentary which will be released globally at 11 pm KST (7 am PDT) on April 21 via Disney+ and Weverse.  It captures SUGA on a musical journey following his road trip around the world. The film takes the viewers through the ins and outs of his creative process working on his highly anticipated solo album D-DAY set to be released on the same day as the film.

Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra passes away at 74

Late producer-director Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra, who was a writer and singer, has passed away at the age of 74. The news was reported on April 20, 2023. As per reports, she was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for the past 15 days and passed away due to age-related illnesses.

YRF released official statement on Thursday which read, “With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am today in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request for privacy in this moment of deep sadness and reflection.”

Pamela Chopra worked as a singer, costume designer, and writer and was credited as a co-producer in many Yash Raj Films’ production. She was credited as the writer of Kabhie Kabhie and dress designer in Silsila and Sawaal. She crooned several songs for movies like Kabhie Kabhie, Noorie, Kaala Patthar, Chandni, Silsila, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, among others. Chopra was last seen in the YRF’s docu-series The Romantics to celebrate 50 years of the studio. She spoke about her journey, Yash Chopra’s long-lasting career, and how Aditya Chopra took the legacy forward.

In addition to her career in film production and philanthropy, Pamela Chopra has authored a book titled ‘Romancing with Life: An Autobiography’, which was published in 2014. Pamela Chopra is survived by her two sons Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra.

ASTRO members JinJin & Sanha look after Moonbin’s funeral; MJ takes urgent leave from military, Cha Eun Woo heading back to Korea from US for last rites

In one of the most tragic news coming in from the entertainment industry of South Korea, musician Moonbin, a member of the K-pop group ASTRO, tragically passed away on April 19 at the age of 25. The singer was reportedly found dead in his apartment by his manager when he immediately made a call to the police. The police suspect possible suicide. The news of the death of the singer was confirmed by his music label, Fantagio. Today, the family has requested to conduct the funeral privately in presence of family, and close friends. ASTRO members JinJin and Sanha were reportedly taking care of the funeral alter, whereas MJ who was in the military applied for leave application to attend the wake. Cha Eun Woo, who was in the US for an overseas schedule, was heading back to South Korea upon hearing the news of his member.

On April 20, Fantagio released an official statement regarding the funeral of Moonbin. As reported by the Korean outlet Soompi, it read, “The bereaved family of Moonbin, who is deeply saddened by the sudden unfortunate news, wishes to carry out the funeral quietly. They wish for the entire process of the funeral from the wake to the departure of the funeral procession to be carried out privately from the reporters, and the bereaved family members do not want coverage of those who are mourning. We sincerely ask that you make his last journey beautiful, and we earnestly ask for your deep condolences.”

They further stated while other members were arriving for the funeral or were already in attendance, MJ took leave from the military. They stated, “MJ heard news of Moonbin’s passing in the morning, and he urgently [received approval] to be on leave and visited Moonbin’s wake. We offer our deepest condolences to Moonbin’s loved ones. May he rest in peace.”

On April 19, in a lengthy statement written in Korean, as translated by the Korean outlet Soompi, it said, “First, we apologize for having to convey this sorrowful and heartbreaking news. On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us and has now become a star in the sky. Although it cannot compare to the grief of the bereaved family that had to part with their beloved son and brother, his fellow artists and the staff here at Fantagio, who have been together with him for a long time, are also deeply mourning the departed amidst tremendous shock and sorrow. It pains us even more to have to convey this sudden news to the fans who have given their unsparing love and support to Moonbin. Because we know all too well just how unparalleled the departed [Moonbin] was in his love for his fans, whom he was constantly thinking of, the grief is all the more overwhelming.”

The statement also made a request to everyone to not speculate anything around his death and give privacy to his family during this devastating time. “In order for the bereaved family, who has fallen into great sorrow due to this sudden tragedy, to be able to respectfully mourn the departed and say their goodbyes, we entreat you to please refrain from speculative or malicious reports. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, the funeral will be held as quietly as possible, with family, close friends, and agency colleagues in attendance. Once again, we express our deep mourning as the departed walks his final path.”

Moonbin had been in the industry for 14 years. He grew up as a child actor and went onto participate in several variety shows and eventually became a part of the K-pop group ASTRO. The group had completed their 7 years in February 2023 and had renewed their contracts. Moonbin had released a unit album earlier this year in January 2023 under the moniker Moonbin&Sanha. The duo was preparing for their Dream Concert as a part of the unit.

As an actor, he was a part of many dramas including Boys Over Flowers, Forever Young and Moment of Eighteen among others.

Salman Khan receives death threat again from Lawrence Bishnoi; Rakhi Sawant told to stay out of the matter

Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. On April 19, two days, prior to the film’s release, the actor received a fresh death threat via email. Several news outlets have alleged that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has threatened to kill Salman. Not only that, even Rakhi Sawant has been told to stay out of the matter.

This news comes a month after Rakhi Sawant has come out in support of Salman Khan and shared a video on social media. “Main Salman Khan bhai ki taraf se Bishnoi samaj se maafi mangti hu. Mere Bhai Salman par buri nazar mat rakho. (I offer apologies to Bishnoi society on behalf of Salman Khan, please don’t say bad about him). Me kehti hu Salman Khan ek nek insan hai.. gareebi ka data hai, ek legend hai.. Salman Bhai ke lie dua karo, vo logo ke lie ittna karte hai.. me chahti hu Salman Bhai ke dushmano ki aakhe fut jae.. unnki yaadash Shakti khatam hojae.. me Allah se dua karti hu ke koi mere Salman bhai ke lie bura na soche,” Rakhi had said.

Not too long ago, there were reports of how Lawrence Bishnoi threatened Salman Khan and told the superstar to apologize to his community after the actor was accused of killing a blackbuck during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain. A staff member of the Sultan actor’s team had found a threatening letter asking Salman to have a talk with Canadian gangster Goldie Brar, in an email that was sent by a certain Rohit Garg.

In a report shared by ABP News, Bishnoi was quoted saying, “There is anger in our society for Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him but he did not apologise. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else.” He went on to add that he has been harboring the feeling of hatred ever since childhood. Bishnoi continued, “Will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to our deity’s temple and apologise. If our society forgives, then I will not say anything.”

The film stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar with all the elements of a Salman Khan film – action, family-drama and romance.
