Backstreet Boys arrive in India for their Mumbai show tomorrow, see photos and videos

One of the best-selling bands of all time, the Backstreet Boys, has arrived in India for the two shows of their DNA World Tour in May 2023. For the India leg, Backstreet Boys: DNA World Tour will play at Jio World Gardens, Mumbai on May 4th and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on May 5, 2023.

On Wednesday morning, Backstreet Boys arrived in Mumbai and were greeted by paparazzi at the Mumbai airport. AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson were seen waving at the crowd at the airport. The band is back in India after 13 years, answering the prayers of its massive fan base in the country.

The Backstreet Boys: DNA World Tour, comes on the back of the boy-band favourite’s tenth studio album DNA. AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson have been enthralling fans across the globe for over three decades and are expanding their massive world tour to India on popular demand.

The DNA World Tour celebrates their rich history of flawless choreography, harmony-laden vocal prowess and an arsenal of mega-watt hits such as ‘I Want It That Way’, ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ and ‘As Long As You Love Me’, along with the latest hits from their recent album ‘DNA’ including ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’, ‘Chances’ and ‘No Place’, amongst others.

In May 2019 the Backstreet Boys kicked off “The DNA World Tour” – the group’s biggest arena tour in 18 years thanks to the global success of their #1 new album. The DNA World Tour has seen the group sell out arenas all over North America, Europe, Asia and South America.

Arjun Kapoor takes the first-ever trip of his life with his dad Boney Kapoor; attend Hans Zimmer’s concert in Frankfurt

Arjun Kapoor, who is currently in Europe, seems to be making the most of his time there. Arjun is known to be a cinephile and an avid fan of music. Over the weekend, he attended the Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning composer Hans Zimmer’s Live concert at Frankfurt Festhalle. But what made his trip to Frankfurt even more special was that he went on the first-ever trip of his life with his dad Boney Kapoor.

Arjun says, “Watching Hans Zimmer’s performance live is a dream come true for me. It was emotional, inspiring and incredible. He is one of the most talented human beings to have ever walked on the face of earth and it was an honour to witness his genius at Frankfurt up close and personal. I have always been a huge fan of his music. I mean his body of work is diverse and exceptional.”

He adds, “I have been mesmerised by his brilliance in films like The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Man of Steel, Interstellar among others and I’m glad I got an opportunity to experience his concert.“

Arjun further says, “What makes this trip even more special for me is because this is my first trip with just my dad. We have never travelled together and it was amazing to chill with him and talk to him and enjoy the evening. He is also a fan of Hans Zimmer and thoroughly enjoyed the show. We made a plan to make this happen and I’m glad it panned out perfect.”

Arjun Kapoor will be seen exploring versatile roles in his upcoming projects. In the coming months, Arjun will be seen in the noir thriller film The Ladykiller alongside Bhumi Pednekar and an untitled out-and-out romantic comedy film opposite Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh.

MET Gala 2023: Alia Bhatt is an angelic vision as makes her debut in a pearl-embellished gown by Prabal Gurung

The Met Gala is an annual fundraising event for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. The event is usually held on the first Monday in May and is considered to be one of the most prestigious and star-studded events in the fashion calendar. The Met Gala is attended by celebrities, fashion industry insiders, and cultural icons, who dress according to a specific theme that is chosen each year by the Costume Institute. The event features a red-carpet entrance, cocktail hour, dinner, and a performance or special exhibition. The Met Gala is known for its high fashion and avant-garde outfits, and has been described as the “Oscars of the fashion world”.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has begun the 2023 Met Gala red carpet. The annual event this year honours the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The evening will raise funds for The Met’s Costume Institute while paying tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who oversaw brands including Chanel, Fendi, and his own namesake line. Of course, the star-studded red-carpet extravaganza that will take place when guests ascend the famed Met steps is just as significant as the exhibition. It’s none other than the gorgeous Alia Bhatt who gets things started. The Bollywood actress attends the Met Gala for the first time this year, and she wears a stunning outfit.

Prabal Gurung was Alia’s choice for the iconic moment on the stairs of the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal outfit in particular served as an inspiration for Alia’s appearance. In an all-white outfit, the diva looked lovely and as though she had just left a book of fairy tales. The Prabal Gurung dress featured a fitted bodice, a full skirt, and a total of one lakh white pearls. It was sleeveless. She added shine with pointed pearl and stone earrings and a white glove as acces’ories. A girl can never have too many pearls, and the ideal accessories to complete the outfit, which in Alia’s case meant a pearl bow in her hair.

Alia chose a half-up, half-down hairstyle with a centre part and bronze-toned makeup with rosy accents on her cheeks and a nude lip as a finishing touch. Alia nailed the high notes with this one, keeping things understated and safe while yet looking utterly stunning.

Manisha Koirala reunites with Mani Ratnam at the screening of Ponniyin Selvan 2: ‘He always tries to do things differently’

Manisha Koirala and Mani Ratnam go way back. The actress starred in his project Bombay (1995), which was a breakthrough moment in her career following which she acted in Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se in 1998, which had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Recently, she reunited with him at the special screening of his ambitious Ponniyin Selvan 2.

Sharing a photo with the director on her Instagram, Manisha Koirala wrote, “Such humble man Maniratnam sir is and such a great filmmaker! I remember working with him was intense but so fulfilling. We artists long to work with directors who push our limits and help us to excel. He always tries to do things differently! My first day of shooting for Bombay is so fresh in my mind.”

The actor added, “It felt home meeting him and Suhasinihasan ji (who is an accomplished actress herself. In fact she had helped me with Hamahama song), for the preview of his latest film PS 2! His movies have mesmerised people across the globe. Each of his films is a masterpiece!! From Anjali to PS 2, we just love his films !! Once again… Sir, you are a treasure! My love to the entire team… all the actors who performed brilliantly and all the technicians have excelled in this film. Huge congratulations.”

BREAKING: Shah Rukh Khan to shoot for his HIGHLY AWAITED cameo in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 from May 8

Although some significant films this year have underperformed, the overall track record for Bollywood in 2023 is still better thanks to the super-success of Pathaan. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Siddharth Anand’s directorial has emerged as the highest Hindi grosser of all time. Several factors went in its favour and excited the audiences. One of them was the cameo appearance by Salman Khan, who reprised his role of Tiger. The manner in which he rescues Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) and the way both fight the baddies led to a frenzy in cinemas across the country.

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 will release this year and it is common knowledge that the Salman Khan starrer will see Pathaan in a guest role. As a result, the buzz for the Diwali release is skyhigh. And now Bollywood Hungama has learned that the shoot of this exhilarating sequence is going to take place very soon.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Shah Rukh and Salman will shoot for the said sequence from May 8. The filming will take place in YRF (Yash Raj Films) Studio and is expected to go on for around 5 to 7 days.”

Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and also co-stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The source continued, “Maneesh and producer Aditya Chopra have done extensive prep for this scene. They know that the sequence between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in Pathaan has been very well received by the audiences. With Tiger 3, the makers hope to take the camaraderie and madness one step ahead. There’s already palpable excitement among the crew members to shoot the scene. That Pathaan has got so much love worldwide has proved to be a booster shot for team Tiger 3!”

Pathaan and Tiger 3 belong to the YRF Spy Universe. The franchise began with Ek Tha Tiger (2012), starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and was directed by Kabir Khan. It was followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer War (2019), directed by Siddharth Anand also belongs to the YRF Spy Universe. After Pathaan and Tiger 3, the forthcoming films of the franchise include War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and Tiger vs Pathaan, featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles.
