The Kerala Story Box Office: Adah Sharma starrer continues its dream run, now has Thursday bigger than Wednesday

It’s turning out to be one dream run indeed for The Kerala Story. The film started on a phenomenal note at Rs. 8.03 crores and while that ensured that it would be a big success for sure, what started happening from Saturday onwards made one look up and take notice of history in the making. While the collections continued to get bigger and bigger, there was still some sort of drop expected from Monday onwards. Well, none of that happened as on the contrary, the collections only kept on increasing, so much so that day on day numbers right from Monday to Thursday only saw an increase instead of a decline.

As a result, Thursday numbers stood at a massive Rs. 12.50 crores which is even bigger than Saturday collections of Rs. 11.22 crores. In fact, it’s lesser than only Sunday which had brought in Rs. 16.40 crores, which pretty much shows how the film has been performing excellently at the box office. Given the kind of trending that the film is seeing so far, the collections are now going to further increase today and tomorrow with the crescendo being hit on Sunday. A single day number of Rs. 20 crores or more is on the cards for this Adah Sharma starrer which is a blockbuster already.

The film currently stands at Rs. 81.36 crores and this is next only to the first week collections of Pathaan (which was in a different league altogether) and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which had brought in Rs. 92.21 crores. It has comfortably gone past the first seven days number of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Rs. 75.09 crores) and will also surpass its lifetime (Rs. 147 crores) this week itself.

Hrithik Roshan starrer Vikram Vedha now streaming on Jio Cinema; actor asks fans if his “whacko” role worked

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan had announced that his movie Vikram Vedha is now available for streaming online, and the digital premiere of the movie is being made available to viewers for free. Hrithik shared this news with his followers on Instagram and asked for their feedback on his performance in the movie. Hrithik described his character, the gangster Vedha, as a bit unconventional and strange for him.

On Instagram, Hrithik Roshan shared a black and white picture of his character Vedha, and he also shared a poster featuring Saif Ali Khan. Sharing the post, he wrote in caption, “Really eager for you all to watch Vikram Vedha! I tried doing something in this one which was a bit whacko for me. I wonder if it has worked. YOU tell me! Also by the way , you can watch the digital premier absolutely FREE! Which I think is amazing , well done @officialjiocinema for making this happen!! Streaming from tonight!!”

Soon after he shared the post, fans and industry friends poured their excitement in the comments section. Hrithik’s girlfriend Saba Azad commented, “Yeahhhhhh.” Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “You were extraordinary..the movie was amazing!! Not all good movies work..not all bad movies fail!!” while another fan commented, “Got to be one of your best on screen performance in the past decade. I remember the audience screaming their lungs out on every time you appeared.” A comment also read, “It was definitely one of your best performances ever sir, the only reason why it didn’t do well at the box office was because it was a fresh remake. You should definitely do more roles like this, your portrayal of vedha gave me the angry young man vibes (the peak big b).”

Apart from Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, Vikram Vedha also starred Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf. It was directed by Pushkar-Gayatri, who also directed the 2017 original Tamil film of the same name, co-starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.

Hrithik Roshan, meanwhile, is busy with the shoot of his much-awaited film Fighter, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it will release in cinemas on Republic Day 2024. His other forthcoming films are War 2, co-starring Jr NTR, and Krrish 4.

Actress Preity Zinta recently went on a trip to the Hateshwari Mata temple located in Shimla, India. During their recent visit to the Hateshwari Mata temple in Shimla, Preity Zinta and her husband Gene Goodenough were dressed in traditional attire. Preity wore a yellow suit and covered her head with a golden dupatta, while Gene was spotted wearing a black shirt and jeans. The couple were seen carrying their two children, Jeh and Gia, in their arms as they actively participated in the temple’s rituals and customs. Sharing the video from her visit, Preity captioned, “When I was a little girl I often visited the Hateshwari Mata temple in Hatkoti, Shimla – Himachal Pradesh. This temple has played a big role in my childhood & I’ve always felt very connected to it. Now that I’m a mother its only natural that the first temple my kids visited was this incredible & ancient temple. Here’s a sneak peek of our visit. EXCLUSIVE: Kubbra Sait talks about Sacred Games co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui; says, “I used to go kiss him on the cheeks and say ‘chal na sex scene karte hai.’”

Bollywood actress Kubbra Sait recently discussed shooting an intimate scene with her co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the popular Netflix series Sacred Games. She praised Siddiqui and fondly remembered playfully teasing him about the scene afterward.

In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, talking about the intimate scene in series Sacred Games, Kubbra said, “That scene was shot on the first day. It was the last scene of day one. I had to just go and complete the scene. I remember we finished the scene and to complete the scene we took seven takes. By the seventh take, I had lost count of the many hours we had been filming. Finally I fell to the floor and could not get back up. I was exhausted. I was crying uncontrollably. Nawaz and AK picked me up and held me tight as I sobbed. Dimly I heard a cut.”

Talking about her co-star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sait said, “I love him. He is just a beautiful human being and what an incredible co-actor to work with. Also. so shy and we had all those crazy scenes together. He is the shyest human being on earth. Toh unse pakad pakad ke scene karwana padta tha. I used to go kiss him on the cheeks and say ‘chal na sex scene karte hai.’ This is my job I need to create that environment.”

Apart from this, Kubbra Sait has two upcoming projects. One of them is the movie Shehar Lakhot, which features a talented cast, including Chandan Roy Sanyal, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Shruthy Menon. Additionally, she will be starring in the Hindi adaptation of The Good Wife, a popular American TV series created by Robert and Michelle King. The adaptation, which will air on Disney+ Hotstar, will star Kajol, Sheeba Chaddha, Aamir Ali, Alyy Khan, and others.

Sara Ali Khan busy dubbing for Luka Chuppi 2; says, “Lovely to be back to Somya”

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan is currently highly active in her professional life and has a lot on her plate. She has been fully engaged in her work and has been keeping busy with multiple projects. One of the projects she is currently involved in is the dubbing for the movie Luka Chuppi 2. The actress has been constantly occupied with her busy schedule, which includes fulfilling all her professional commitments and shooting for various projects. Prior to this, she had been in Kedarnath, and after returning from there, she has been completely focusing on her work life.

On Thursday night, Sara took to her Instagram Story and shared a picture of herself from the dubbing studio and wrote, “Lovely to be back to Somya.”

Sara will be reportedly seen opposite Vicky Kaushal in Laxman Utekar’s next, Luka Chuppi 2. It is the second film in the franchise after the first one starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon. As per the latest update officially shared by the makers, the film will be released on June 2 this year and they will officially release the title on May 16, which is Vicky Kaushal’s birthday.

There were reports last year about Vicky and Sara playing a married couple in the film, although nothing has been revealed officially by the makers. The makers also haven’t revealed whether the film will be released in theatres or directly on OTT. Bollywood Hungama had reported in last September that the film will be released directly on Netflix and that the makers have sold the film to the streaming giant for Rs. 70 crores. This will be Utekar’s second release on Netflix in a row after Mimi.

Apart from this, the 27-year-old actress was last seen in Gaslight, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar on March 31. She will be next seen in Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak in her pipeline. Besides these projects, Sara also has Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur and Kannan Iyer’s Ae Watan Mere Watan.
