Alia Bhatt is a sight to behold in little black dress, sky high heels and clear handbag at the Gucci Cruise 24 show in Seoul

In a ground-breaking announcement that sent shockwaves through the fashion industry, Gucci, the iconic luxury brand, has declared Bollywood’s leading lady, Alia Bhatt, as its brand ambassador for India. The collaboration signifies a fusion of Italian sophistication and Indian charm, bringing together two worlds renowned for their style and allure. The culmination of this partnership was witnessed at the much-anticipated Gucci Cruise Show, where Alia Bhatt graced the event with her unparalleled grace and charisma. Being chosen as the face of Gucci in India elevates Alia Bhatt’s stature to new heights, solidifying her position as a fashion icon both nationally and internationally.

Alia Bhatt attended her first significant fashion show for renowned fashion company, Gucci, which was held in the capital of South Korea, Seoul, as is customary for brand ambassadors. The Gucci Cruise Show 2024 in the prestigious Gyeongbokgung Palace is just one of the many significant international accomplishments Alia has accomplished this year. She made her acting debut in Hollywood, made her Met Gala debut, and, to add another achievement to her resume, was named the first-ever Indian face of Gucci, the world’s most prestigious fashion company. The clearest example of Alia’s Gucci-Era style was her outfit for the presentation, which had simple structures, precise cuts, and timeless shapes. She was spotted carrying a transparent Gucci Jackie handbag and donning a tiny black cut-out dress, hefty black block heels, and these accessories. The tiny black dress is the error-free global language of stylish clothing. Alia Bhatt’s polished black sleeveless dress needed drama, even on such a vast stage, and it was provided with circular cuts surrounded with rhinestones.

She kept things safe with her outfit for the occasion, but she experimented with her makeup. Exaggerated winged eyeshadow that covered both sides of Alia’s eyes was seen. She had the kind of K-pop aesthetic that featured pink-tinged lips and rosy, blush-covered cheeks. Alia’s hair was pulled back in her customary center-parted ponytail, and her skin was glowing.

8 Years of Bombay Velvet: Anurag Kashyap says, “Karan Johar didn’t let me down, I let him down”

Anurag Kashyap’s most expensive flop ever Bombay Velvet was released on May 15, 2015. It was a costly experiment inspired by James Ellroy’s L.A Quartet featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar (playing the arch villain) that proved disastrous for all concerned.

8 Years of Bombay Velvet Anurag Kashyap says, “Karan Johar didn’t let me down, I let him down”

Looking back at the experience Anurag says he should have Bombay Velvet the way his colleague Vikramaditya Motwane has made the OTT series Jubilee. “I saw Jubilee recently and seeing what Motwane has pulled off, I realised what I should have done in Bombay Velvet. Instead of being overwhelmed by the budget that I was given for the film, had I looked at as an ambitious Rs. 300 crore film that I was to make in Rs. 90 crores, I would have flourished.” Kashyap feels with a much more controlled budget he would have been in control of the venture. “It would have been a low-budget product at that cost and I would have been on the edge and would have made a multiple times stronger film.”

Comparing his Bombay Velvet to Motwane’s Jubilee Anurag Kashyap zeroes in on the quality lacking in his film. “It lacked the ambition it should have had. This is what I realised after seeing Motwane pull of ten hours of Jubilee at a lesser cost, keeping in mind the inflation.

Bombay Velvet featured Karan Johar as the Parsi antagonist media baron Kaizad Khambatta.

Anurag stands by Karan’s casting. “Karan Johar, I still maintain was a good choice. He didn’t let me down, I let him down.”
