Nitesh Tiwari on Hitler and World War II references in Bawaal: Every incident has been very carefully chosen

Prime Video launched the trailer of Bawaal on Sunday. The cast Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor and creators of the film were in the capital city of the most popular emirate to commence the international publicity for the timeless love story. At the trailer launch event on Sunday, which took place in Dubai, Nitesh Tiwari spoke about the Hitler and World War II references in the movie.

In the trailer, Janhvi as Nisha says, “Hum sab bhi toh thode bohot Hitler jaise hi hai na (we all are a little bit like Hitler).” Talking about the references, he said, “While creating a character, you can go back and look at the events and incidents which can play an important role in the overall arc of that character and the relationship in general. It’s not just about Hitler. There are many more things that you may not have seen in the trailer. Every incident has been very carefully chosen that can have an impact on the overall arc.”

“World War II is humongous. There’s so much that had happened and you can’t take everything. You’ve to pick and choose things which would probably impact the journey of the characters and that’s precisely why it [World War II as a backdrop] has been taken. Hitler also happens to be a part of it and you can’t not have him in World War II,” he added.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, Bawaal is a timeless love story by Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in collaboration with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari’s Earthsky Pictures. The film will premiere on Prime Video India on July 21.

Akshay Kumar shares glimpse of family vacation; Twinkle Khanna Aarav and Nitara enjoy the sun

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar embarked on a vacation alongside his wife Twinkle Khanna, daughter Nitara, and son Aarav. Over the weekend, he turned to social media to offer a sneak peek of their getaway with his beloved family. Sharing a video, he captured a lovely scene where Twinkle and their children were relishing the serene atmosphere during the sunset on the yacht.

On Saturday, Akshay took to his Instagram account and shared a video which showcased Twinkle Khanna, basking in the warm sunlight. It also provided glimpses of Aarav, their son, and Nitara, their daughter. Additionally, Akshay incorporated Adrian Berenguer’s melodious track, ‘Little Things’, as the background music for the video. Sharing the video, Akshay wrote in caption, “Nothing better than these precious moments to try my photography skills Thank You God for this sunshine in my life. I feel blessed!”

OMG 2: Teaser of Akshay Kumar starrer to release on July 11

Readers would be aware that the film OMG featuring Paresh Rawal as the leading man won hearts with its unique plotline where the ‘atheist’ Kanji fights a case against God at the court. Now a decade later, the makers are all set to introduce a sequel that will be dealing with a different subject with Akshay Kumar yet again reprising the role of the Almighty. With Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in a pivotal role, OMG 2 will be releasing next month. Ahead of the release, the makers will be unveiling the teaser of the movie later this week.

The makers of OMG 2 have announced that they would be sharing the sneak peek into the film in the coming week, on July 11. Although the makers have not divulged many details about the film, we hear that the film will be revolving around sex education with Yami Gautam essaying the role of a lawyer. The first look of the actress was posted by the makers earlier this month. In a film festival at Jeddah, Akshay had opened up about the upcoming film and had mentioned about sex education playing a major role in the film as he had said, “It’s a very important subject. In a lot of places, (sex education) is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school and sex education is one topic I would like all the schools in the world to have.”

Along with featuring in the film, Akshay Kumar will also be producing it. Talking about him as a producer, Yami had said, “He is a very good producer also, and someone who is very passionate about this film. When I was given the narration, I could feel that he really wants to make it with the right team. Of course, whatever chance I got to work with Pankaj Tripathi ji also, such a fantastic actor. With the new writing, there is another perspective which is very relevant, talked about, yet not talked about. So that will be interesting to see.”

OMG 2 will be releasing on August 11 and will be clashing in the theatres with Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.

Aamir Khan recalls being drunk with Salman Khan and waking up with the latters Feroza bracelet in his hand; heres what happened

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have always shared a great off-screen camaraderie and have often spoken about the friendship they have with each other. In a recent vlog of YouTuber Jaby Koay, the latter opened up about meeting Aamir Khan and it also had the latter opening about an incident when he was spotted with Salman’s Feroza bracelet. The Dangal actor recalled the time he had the bracelet on his hand after he woke up drunk.

In the vlog, Aamir Khan is seen opening up about the incident to Jaby Koay wherein he said that he and Salman Khan had a fun drinking session which resulted in the Dabangg star gifting him the special bracelet. “I was hanging out with Salman last night, and we were celebrating his movie. He got drunk, and I got drunk, and he gave it to me. He was like, ‘You’re my bro. We’ve known each other for such a long time, never taking this off. Here, you can have it,” he was seen telling Jaby Koay.

However, when he realized that the next day he had the bracelet, Aamir recalled being afraid of losing it since it has always been very special for Salman Khan. “’Oh sh*t’ ’I’m going back to Salman’s place tonight because I am not going to be responsible for losing this thing,’” Aamir had told Jaby. For the unversed, Aamir Khan had also arrived at Arpita Khan’s Eid  bash with the bracelet which led to many fans wondering if the Wanted actor had gifted the same to the 3 Idiots star.

Talking about the specialty of the bracelet, for the unversed, years ago Salman Khan had explained the importance of the accessory to one of his fans, wherein he had revealed that he wears it to ward off negativity. He also confessed that it was his seventh bracelet at that time. “My father used to wear this and I really liked it. When I started working, he got me the exact one. It is called Feroza. Apparently, there are only two living stones – one is geek and the other is feroza. This is turquoise. And what happens is when there is any negativity coming on to you, first this takes it. It gets veins on it and then it cracks. This is my seventh stone,” Salman had said.

Makers of Prabhas Deepika Padukone starrer Project K drop films exclusive limited edition merchandise

 The highly anticipated and much-awaited film Project K will be bringing together Pan India stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone for the first time. While the film has been generating significant buzz for its ensemble cast, the makers had recently revealed that the sci-fi drama will be one of the rarest Indian films to be going to San Diego Comic Con. Ahead of the launch, the makers of the movie have now released the official limited edition exclusive free merchandise of the film.

Earlier we had revealed that Project K will be going to the popular San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023 wherein the film’s exclusive footage is scheduled to be unveiled in the presence of the cast. Aswani Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nag Ashwin, Project K is a bilingual film shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages across various locations. While it marks Deepika Padukone’s debut in the Telugu film industry, the film will also be dubbed in other languages including Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada. The film is expected to be a one-of-a-kind futuristic sci-fi drama and the makers have created a completely different world for the same. It is slated to hit the theatres in January 2024.

BREAKING: Christopher Nolans Oppenheimer is the first non-franchise Hollywood film to get 3 AM shows in India

The month of July is going to be an exciting one for Hollywood fans. The much-awaited Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part One, starring Tom Cruise, will have a grand release on Wednesday, July 12. On July 21, there’ll be a clash between Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Barbie. The bookings of both Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part One and Oppenheimer commenced on July 1 and has got an encouraging response.

However, the ticket sales for Oppenheimer have surpassed expectations. An exhibition source said, “We all knew that a section of moviegoers is excited to see Oppenheimer. But no one imagined that tickets would start selling like hot cakes, that too, more than two weeks before release.”

The source further said, “There is a heavy demand to see Oppenheimer in the IMAX screens. Since most shows are almost sold out, the exhibitors had no choice but to play shows at 3 AM as well.”

The source continued, “As of now, PVR Lower Parel and Inox Malad in Mumbai have started the bookings for shows at 3:30 AM and 3:45 AM respectively. The other IMAX theatres in the city will soon follow suit and so will IMAX screens in other parts of the country.”

Another exhibition source said, “There are also plans to have midnight shows, that it, at 12:00 AM. Not just IMAX, normal screens might also play midnight and post-midnight shows as per the demand. After all, those who are interested to see Oppenheimer are not going to wait to see the film on OTT and on their phones. This is a film meant for the big screen and hence, exhibitors expect the film to have a healthy lifetime, more so after the response to the bookings in IMAX theatres.”

An industry insider commented, “What’s fascinating is that when it comes to Hollywood films, until now, only the family-friendly Marvel superhero films and Avatar: The Way Of Water have had 12 AM and 3 AM/4 AM/5 AM shows. Oppenheimer doesn’t belong to any franchise or cinematic universe. It’s also an adult-rated flick. Yet, the demand is such. It shows the craze for Christopher Nolan among a section of the audience. The curiosity to see on the big screen the much-hyped atomic explosion scene, which is claimed to have been shot without CGI, has also played a big part. It has enhanced the hype manifold.”

As per reports, Oppenheimer has sold 14,000 tickets in the three national chains on the opening day, that too, in just IMAX.
